Hence why I'll never be a competitive gamer. *crosses arms and "hmpfs"*

If more people were like this, games would be more fun. Less jackholes trying to find the perfect way to break the system.
Huh. Must have changed at some point. Or was I somebody else....

Someone who would hate a game for having less characters... doesn't exist, I hope.

It's just not as fun to me. Technically speaking, Wavedashing and L cancels are exploits, not intended features.

I think it is the atmosphere around Melee he hates, not any characters...

Elitist Douches. It's the same problem that LoL has, but to a lesser extent.

I have no idea where you're coming from there. I have no experience with the first one's balancing, I can agree Melee had some balancing issues as I could determine which character I was better as, but Brawl? I can pick any character and fare exactly as well. It was a huge improvement. I quite love it because I couldn't discern any character to be better than any other. Except Diddy Kong. I can't play Diddy Kong for life.... Laughed at you for picking Captain Falcon? I don't understand at all.

Tiers. Captain falcon has never been a 'top tier' character, or even that high if memory serves.

I think you guys really would like Project M even casually because it has the full roster from both Melee and Brawl (minus Pichu), it really is the most well balanced one out of all the smash games, it still has all the mechanics that made brawl fun casually (predominately final smashes) and every character is actually unique and fun to play, unlike Melee and Brawl.

I hated melee, and I don't see how bringing more crap back from Melee would make me want to play it...

None of them are well balanced. 64, Melee and Brawl all have horrible balancing. Easily the worst balancing in fighting game history.

I don't agree. as long as you don't get all crazy-pro on it, it's pretty even with some exceptions. I never have to deal with 'that one character' that just can't be killed, like in the capcom ones. I think the most horrible example was in Soulcalibur V, with Fake Taki/Natsu. They could just spam this one move and automatically win.

I prefer Brawl because it is more balanced on a casual level. I can pick ANY character and still fare a decent chance against virtually all my friends. As someone who always without exception goes with random character, I am very thankful for this. There was once a melee tournament at school I was made to join, and I got a few strange looks when I rolled dice to see which character I should play. From someone who could never take the time to become professional in any game, their reactions were worth everything. Of course I lost, but their reactions? Almost every single one of them having to pause for a moment realizing they had nothing to say to me? Priceless.

I remember my school had this 'gamer's club' thing every Wednesday, and this guy brought melee this one time and everybody Laughed at me when I picked captain falcon... And I think when my friend picked Ness that was the only other time anyone picked something other than Marth or Fox...

Also tiers are for assholes.

I don't know what people are smoking, but I've never had problems with metaknight. Brawl is pretty well balanced all things considered.
Waaaaaay better balance than Marvel Vs. Capcom 3... screw that game. Dante/Wesker+Virgil+Zero is auto-win.
No no no, ASSKICKING 101 is people hunting.
