This is asking for an RP in which the Southend-on-Sea furniture bots battle for control with the Korean casino bots, in an ultimate struggle that will destroy the world.

Suddenly building some kind of wall doesn't seem like a bad idea. Vote Frengo 2016 for RPG President.

Is it sad that I bought a 10yo Netbook from Ebay with the sole intent of using it just to write my RP posts?

Sea Gorillas are not a "personal" issue, and affect the entirety of mankind. It's morons like you that prevent social and cultural progress.

Alright. I'm out.

Yeah sorry about the inaction, work ran me over, and another RP I'm hosting exploded into an absolute hive of activity. It was a number's game at the end of the day, do I appease 10 people or 3? So with that logic in mind, naturally I dedicated what little time I had to trying to keep the larger vessel afloat. Granted, it shouldn't have come to that in the first place, but I seriously overestimated how much of an impact returning to work would have on my free time.

So, with all that said, I think I'm going to regretfully call curtains on this little shindig. Sorry to screw you all over like that :/ if you want to send graphic pictures of diseased genitals to my pm inbox, I fully understand.
@Shisa Well, I'll never pry a character from the hands of an author who seems ready to fight off a band of real life Belorussian bandits to defend it. Also, as she's more or less going to be part of an iron cast duo, I doubt any problems will arise later down the line. The fact that she's been designed to fill in Al's weaknesses gives the idea further merit.

Still, I do feel kind of bad for unleashing a ten year old snake child into a world full of death and misery.

Oh wait, no I don't.

Accepted!

Gripus Probus

Hero of the East, Bane of Morven

Location: Campus Magnus

As Liliana's emotions came to the fore, culminating in her punching the hard stone of the tower's foundations, Gripus felt a pang of sorrow for the High Elf. Such outbursts were rare in her kind, and only surfaced when an inner most burden had become too heavy to bear. She was a tortured soul in many ways; her future cut from under her, and cast to uncertainty in the most horrid of circumstances, whilst the ghosts of her past screamed injustice. She was certainly not the unsinkable titan she had been fifty years ago.

Lilana's voice took on a fire that reminded Gripus of himself in his younger days, when the world was very much a matter of good and evil to his impassioned eyes. She had come to Iron Coast to redeem her honour, to renew her purpose, to fulfill her destiny - like many adventurers that had taken on the Imperator's contract, no doubt. He wondered though, if she really knew what awaited her to the West.

"You are as strong as you ever were," Gripus decided to lie, out of pity if nothing else. "Your divine powers may be diminished, but few can protest the significance of a strong sword hand and a stronger heart in these dark times we find ourselves in. I would be honoured if you were to stand at my side, as we awake Iron Coast from its nightmare." He paused, to consider things. Gripus was a skilled mage, and with Morven's staff at his disposal, he felt confident he could handle himself against some of Iron Coast's horrors. However, he was but one man, and the dead were many - and then there was the matter of Magnor Dragonblade. If he had returned, and had even a fraction of his former power, then Gripus would not stand in battle against him long. "We need more of us, I fear. Our song will be a short one, if we are forced to face down this evil with just the two of us. There are powerful individuals in the camp, I can sense them, but it is now a matter of tracking them down, and appraising their motives before taking them on. Mayhap you know Campus Magnus better than I do; where should we begin our search for suitable candidates?"
Ugh, just noticed that I copied the wrong link for the picture of Liliana's sword. Here's the base concept for what it actually looks like. Sorry about that.

And there I was thinking Liliana carried around a 1x1 interest thread in her scabbard!

@IncredibleBee Help a brother out, who's Serpica? Ah okay, I see. Righty'o... hmmm... hmmm, yup, accepted!

@Shisa Okay, I got a little problem with Serpica. See, it looks like she and her friend fancey themselves a shot at claiming that prize money; however, given that she has no combat skills makes the whole thing seem a little odd. I mean, Iron Coast is crawling to the brim with monsters, and she wants to travel across a dead landscape to put down a powerful Wraith? Is she suicidal?

She seems better suited to a comedy or a drama, where as this RP is grounded in the idea that at some point the "heroes" will need to kill stuff. Maybe take her back to the drawing board and give that girl some teeth?

Also, how common are these snake people? They seem a little on the ghoulish side of things, so it would be nice to know if they're common throughout the Empire, or if people look at them as a disgusting minority.

But let it be known that I am a kind GM. If you wish to keep her as she is, then now's your chance to state your case and I'll take it under further consideration. Preferably though, she wants to be able to have a realistic prospect of surviving more than 24 hours outside the walls of Campus Magnus!

@TheHangedMan Looks like someone wants to steal Magnor's tower! Could make for an interesting story arc. Accepted, although be wary, she may walk freely among the mindless dead, but the Empire wont be so easily deterred if it discovers her true magic leanings.

Phew, that it? This is starting to get a little crowded, I might have to consider closing it to new entries. I'll move over the new characters and catch up with the IC.

@FrengoNo...? I was just saying cause I thought it was an interesting fact. Your estimation was nearly spot on for the speed and amount of time taken by the American military. I thought that was cool.

*Maintains eye contact to assert dominance*

Haha, nah sorry man, I came across a bit too bitchface there didn't I? My brain is a little frazzled atm, first day back at work and all. I had a nap but that made things hella worse, but at least if you listen closely you can hear the world's smallest violin playing somewhere in the background.

Anyway, it's midnight and I've got work in five hours. See y'all tomorrow.
@FrengoAt 600 miles in two weeks comes to 11 hours a day at standard forward march (4 mph) honestly we could probably do it in a week in a half, the majority of the characters have super human stamina or horses. Just saying, anyone of us could have made the trip in that or less time. Just so you know.

Is that a problem?

Gripus Probus

Hero of the East, Bane of Morven

Location: Campus Magnus

Gripus smiled beneath his cowl, motioning his head towards an Elven beauty he barely remembered; yet there it was, clear as day, for in his mind she stood to the background of death and destruction. Her name did not escape him, indeed, he had studied the Order's histories relentlessly as part of a vain quest to gain their support for his expedition to Iron Coast. He knew of her tale, of what happened after the Fall of Magnor Dragonblade. Those fools, with all their Holiness, were not above petty rivalries and divisive politics; their hosts of Paladins and Priests locked in pointless struggles with whatever peoples had the misfortune of earning the title of "Heathens". They had the power to make a real difference in the world, yet they squandered it, preferring to throw away their best champions whilst indulging themselves in the blood of thousands.

"It has been too long, Liliana," he said, the yellow lights of his eyes pulsing. He would not insult nor belittle her, with a title he believed she had neither deserved nor earned. The Order had lost themselves one of their best, that day. "I'm here for the same reason as you," his brow furrowed and his mouth twisted slightly, "he has returned. Magnor Dragonblade has arisen from a multitude of errors. I am here to correct the mistake of an Age. To finish what should have been finished the first time around."

He shivered then; his senses tingling. Campus Magnus had become rich with magical energy, saturated even - there were people of power in the camp, and their presence was agitating him. Oddly enough though, Liliana's aura seemed pale and almost unreadable. He did not remember her for such fragility. It seemed the Order had stripped her of more than just a rank.

"They should never have cast you out," he said, remorse striking his features. "The Order have become as foolish as the Imperial Magi, as the Emperor himself. The world is a worse place, for such idiocy." Gripus shook his head, and cleared his expression for a sterner alternative. "I'm going to the tower, Liliana. By all the Gods, by the Empire and Beyond, I will fix this mess. I should have died alongside my fallen brothers, when we attacked the Necromancer with an army of hundreds... such a waste, and for what? So many mistakes were made that day, and now I aim to redeem myself of my sins for taking part in such folly." Then he waved a hand, as if dismissing an invisible acquaintance. "Forgive me, I may look young, but I am very much a rambling old fool for my part. You have come for similar reasons, have you not? A tale of guilt and redemption?"
@Frengo So... if you don't mind, I'm going to make it so that Gripus pulled Lili's ass out of the fire in the battle where she lost all her companions.

Edit:: Also wanted to get her into mix ASAP, so I tossed an intro post up already. Didn't think about whether or not you might be writing a post, so sorry if I've messed anything up.

Lol, you bastard! There's six hundred words I aint getting back.

It's okay, it happens. ARGH tho. Yeah I'm sure that's fine, Gripus would have been fairly formidable during the Iron Coast disaster and likely one of the stronger members of the Imperial Magi present, so that he saved a few lives would go without saying.

Right, let me delete everything and start again. :P
@FrengoSounds good. Also, I actually thought the distance was larger. That's why I was like, we're going to starve, waaaah! Hahaha, this makes a lot more sense, I think I'm the bigger dodo :p

I always use England as a mental footnote when it comes to lengths; it took Harold four days to march his army 185 miles (London to Yorkshire). So after doing the math based on King Harold's shenanigans, the portion of Iron Coast shown on the map is about 600 miles in length, from Magnus to Dragonblade. I didn't want to make things too grand; I can always make more maps if the RP ever has to go beyond Iron Coast.
@FateWeaver Ah, I must have missed it. Sorry, I decided to have a couple of hours sleep after getting in from work and my brain is all over the God damned place. I just threw the cap to my milk in the bin rather than the used tea bag. True story. You could probably make a character called Hodo the Clown King of Alakazam Sprinkly Puff and I'd still somehow accept it.

Oooo, someone Gripus can relate to. Yeah, nice character. Accepted!
