I liked it. Besides, i'd imagine that you're all responsible RPers who don't take every opportunity to wave e-penis in-game and murk everybody else in the game just because you . Also, dat antagonist. We still need all the oomph we can muster. Like, seriously.

Sam's hidden oomph is pretty good ^^
Most people here will be speechless in all honesty, or I at least hope.

Alright, found a keyboard, time to comment on this part, as well :PI'm going to disagree with your posit that only people with super dope fighting skills AND tons of magic are OP. No, rather, I'd say that either of those on their own are OP. Remember, we're supposed to be pretty-much-average people going on a journey that far outclasses our skillsets and one that we really shouldn't win. Unless it's been changed into a "all the heroes of the land, let us go fight evil!", though if that's the case then I need to make a different character because mine simply has no place in such a group. It also seems like you're going too far in your compensation for what you see as weaknesses in your character. You make your character "a bit" worse at close combat than the magicless close-combat-specialized knight, and squishier (which, well yes, you're not wearing armor), but at the same time you get back mobility since you're not wearing heavy armor AND you get a "bunch" of magic. I'd suggest that giving a character a bunch of magic to compensate for a little loss in close combat is a net gain in power (without going into the folly of comparing your character to another character who is OP and then claiming balance).

Kiddo, you're getting real worked up over nothing. I've seen copsy RP before, he's a rather humble dude.

I now he started it when he was 15, not sure when it was published, though he never even had a high school education. If I am not mistaken, he was completely homeschooled. Still, you're right, we're veering way off topic here. Just leave it at 'everyone has opinions'. So to get into the meat of things, where is everyone planning on starting with their characters?

I'm gonna let someone decide a town before I post after them and conveniently put Sam in a little tiff with some drunken idiot.
I love him. Odd number two has a speech artistry considering.

I enjoy how he ends up at the hospital with Dallas... This will be very interesting to say the least.
I'm pretty sure he was out of high school when Eragon was published.

There are also tons of arguments I can make, but I'm not going to, cause past an example, Eragon has no important to this RP.

I don't know how this website feels about this, but...Eragon wasn't very good. :)Also I think the general consensus here is that everybody has tricks up their sleeves. Nobody has a specific advantage over any one else because we're all sneaky bastards. So yeah, the Naeri might have a couple of unexpected combat skills, but so do the Goblins by the sounds of it, maybe even the Orcs, the Dragon! Maybe even the Knight or the Jungle Lady. Who knows.

Eragon wasn't good?

You sir, can fly off a cliff.

Well, to be fair we literally can only imagine what they look like when fully armed (with scimitars, I'm imagining) so we can only assume the sheer horrors we are about to see.

We're talking about circus people here. Dragons aren't the only ones who can breath fire ;)

Sure, but even monkey colonies have bloody disputes; and due to safety in numbers, I think any large gathering would pose a threat to bandits and pirates through numbers alone. And absolutely, I don't doubt they have huge political sway, some areas more than others, especially the more 'cultured' parts of Enduwin, but looking at this from a solely intimidation standpoint, their very nature would probably not be outwardly threatening to anyone. For example, compare what it would be like to see two groups walking down the street: a group of 1000 singers and dancers, some of whom may have had martial arts training (not that you'd ever know by looking at them) and a group of 30 well armed soldiers with rifles, grenades, the whole works. At first glance, i'd definitely be much more afraid of the soldiers because they look more likely to just shoot me in the face and be done with it. Both groups would be capable of skinning you alive if they wanted, but i'm always going to run away from the scariest first.

I agree, my entire argument is everyone needs to stop Assuming.

Assuming OOC, before you even see Naeri in action. I mean, this is fantasy, and as role players you should understand weird things happen that baffle the mind :0. May I remind you of werecats in Eragon. Unassuming but very dangerous.

I was under the impression they literally grabbed people and subjugated them to a serenade then proceeded to pull their teeth out and used their large intestines to festoon the caravans.I don't coDon't be ridiculous! Worgs don't have hands and Megagoblins, being Mega, have hands far too large to cut off with anything but a toothsaw.Harp strings can be used to strangle bandits in a pinch, so that brings their terror factor up a lot.

I know you're trying to be funny, but it's really not appreciated after the first bit.

It might be because they're a mobile bard college. It's not the most intimidating thing ever, you have to admit.

This is true.
But I also said they have had very bloody disputes in the past, and are to be considered very dangerous to pirate and bandit types. And to have such a large group spanning all races and countries, even continents, you'd think they'd have political sway as well, considering they could make trade routes very inhospitable, ironic considering they themselves are traders if they're traveling in a caravan.
