Welcome, I'm VINA, I'll be your guide into the world of VR battlebots.
In 2076, the technology in Virtual Reality made its latest breakthrough, portable VR devices which allow you to 'enter' virtual reality space at any time, the Helix-Rho company developed VRBattleBots as Video Game demo for children and teenagers but the popularity was immense, and now in 2081, after only 5 years on the market the trend has taken off, VR BattleBots is in every major gaming event and is an unnoficial national sport.

But what is VR-BattleBots?

VRBattleBots is a competitive fighting game, where you are assigned a single robot to do battle against other players and their robots for rank,.You control your robot through your VR interface which loads up when you enter a battle, but you can also activate on your own for training. This is all controlled through you Portable Virtual Reality Device, the 'Battlewatch'

Once you recieve your battle watch you will be able to create your robot ID, this will allow one robot to be assigned to you and you will build it in the startup interface, there are variety of options to customise your robo, but we will cover that later. Once your robot is built, you will be assigned a rank (usually E) and you can begin competing straight away. Depending on who you battle against, the outcome of each match will determine your BattlePoints and Rank (covered later).
Each Robot Starts with 1000 HP at the beginning of each match and using your skills and weapons you are to try and reduce your enemy's HP to zero. There may also be hazards in cetrain VR stage arenas or special match types but more on that later.

The Cyber Ninja

Skills and Abilites: Zai Matsu is 15 year veteran at the Neo Tokyo Guard, he has been trained as a Modern Ninja and a Spy. His martial arts are some of the best in the world using a mix of the ninjitsu, hapkido, and combat sambo arts, this is made deadlier by his insane physical abilites. Without his suit his body has been trained to Olympic Level Conditioning, and his Ninja training allows him to do some amazing acrobatic leaps and movements along with circus like flexibility, his stamina also basically superhuman. He has had military training in the use of most firearms and explosives trained heavily in stealth and espionage, and has some knowledge of ninja magic though this has not yet been demonstrated.
Weapons & Equipment:

Cybernetic Ninja S.U.I.T.:
Zai Matsu and the other Assasins of the Neo-Tokyo private guard company all wear a Super Utility Infiltration Tech (S.U.I.T.) which is a cybernetic armour to enhance the already near-superhuman abilities of the ninja's who wear it. It increases strength and agility, has an A.I. headset built in, is highly resistant to blunt impact and has some levels of bulletproof material covering vital areas. The gloves and boots have electormagnetic and claw functions which allow the user to scale most walls and the suit is still lightweight and flexible enough to fight in. The helmet also has nightvision and air filter.

Advanced Edge: The Advanced Edge pictured here is one of the most reliable weapons in neo tokyo for assasins of all skill levels. It has a lightweight compact design, and the steel-titanium alloy blade has been filed down to a super thin razor sharp edge using lasers. It also has a small electrical charge function for non-lethal stun capability, and the handle has tiny bomb inside which the user can detonate at anytime to blow an enemies hand off, who may try to use his weapon against him. This particular variant of the advanced edge has been custom made to suit Zai-Matsu's fighting style.



7-X Sub: This a basic submachine gun that most modern assasins carry for midrange combat, the low calibre rounds and very accurate weapon has been made especially for ninjas who would fire from a multitude of directions (especially the air). The design is compact enough for concealment and the magazine cartridge can be fitted with a blade for close range suprise attacks. It also has laser guided aiming and smart targeting system built in to link with Zai Matsu's headset. The basic ammo can also be swapped out for posion darts.


Various Gadgets: Zai carries a high-power laser cutter the size of a pen, 4 smoke bombs, 2 flash bangs , and net trap ensnare device that can be re-used once recovered, it fires a steel web like net that capture a man sized enemy and the sharp metal causes heavy laceration and cuts to the skin. Zai also has an Incidenary grenade that he uses for a last ditch attempt. He also carries a vial of acid which can burn through any modern metal.

No special requirements but I would suggest using a somewhat versatile character as weapons may be take away in some of the rounds, so dont put all your faith in a sword or a shotgun.

Appearance
This is an image of Melanie when she was a bit younger, maybe 17. She has a very basic fashion sense, almost always wearing a skirt with a hoodie.
Her eyes always seem to be constantly moving as if she is plotting something. Her hair is usually worn in a ponytail.

Personality: Melanie sees her self as an intellectual, she is calm and she likes to think things through before she says them. She cant be described as cold but she isnt very warm either. For most situations that aren't of major importance she stays indifferent offering small observations and gentle philosophical points. This gives off the impression she is detatched from most situations, but in reality she is probably juggling a few dozen thoughts in her head she considers more important. Although she is very independent she is also approachable and helpful when she doesn't have more pressing matters she will attempt to make time for others.

History: Melanie was born as the only daughter of two corporate lawyers who very rarely had time to show her the love and attention that she craved, though the were not neglectful she had very little experience in building loving connections with anyone in her later life. When she was 14 years old, she went missing for a month, her parents had the police search the entire area and after the first 2 weeks there was hanging worry over the community's head that she might have been killed. but after a month exactly she turned up at her front door completely unharmed, but she had no recollection of where she was for that whole month, there was no change in her personality.
She channelled her loneliness into hobbies such as archery, cycling, and swimming. She also has a guilty pleasure for Arcade Video Games and Graffiti.
