Welcome, Ye Mighty Few!
Overview
I will be your Game Master for a 1x1 Adventure through perilous Fantasy, Steam Punk, and Post-Apocalyptic worlds. However, you do not have to travel alone. Because, in addition to playing the vast and diverse NPC's and monsters that you will certainly encounter, I will also be playing companions who will accompany you on your journeys. I am more focused on Story and Action then Rules and Stats.
I have GM'd many tabletop sessions through the years. And as we are forced into secluded shelter by the most gruesome enemy our generation has encountered, I have begun to miss building worlds and creating stories for friends to get immersed and lost inside of. I have roleplayed on the guild and other forum sites for a long time, however never GM'ing. So I want to try my hand at this and gain some experience with 1x1 GM's before opening it up to public threads.
Romance/Pairings/18+ Content
That said, because our roleplays will take place in Private Messages only (I do not use email or other third party tools) there is the possibility for even more adult aspects included in our story. Though, those are unnecessary. I am perfectly comfortable with GM'ing smut-filled harem adventures, or fading-to-black as my partner requests. So please feel free to let me know which option you prefer.
When it comes to romantic pairings, or deciding the gender you would like your NPC companions to be, I am capable of playing Male or Female characters as well as any gender identity in between or outside the spectrum. Though you will need to let me know that is what you prefer. I am also open to any pairing be it MxF, MxM, or FxF. And again, any other pairings you have in mind, please let me know.
Post Length/Play Style
For post length, I do prefer my partners to be able to write at least one paragraph minimum. I know in conversations, responding to a question and waiting for the other characters response, posts may get short in that respect and that is okay. But, even in action sequences, I prefer Story over rules and turns as stated earlier. So let's say your character is fighting a large beast. I do not expect you to write "I slash at the best" and then wait for me to say whether it hits or misses. Instead I would prefer you to write your own action. And you have permission to control the NPC in that situation.
So your post may instead look like "The warrior swung his sword at the beasts belly, who dodged just in time to avoid the fatal blow. However, on the backswing, the warrior caught the beast across the face, leaving a gruesome and bloody scar above his eye."
Just PLEASE, no godmoding (be an all powerful badass who always wins) and no metagaming. You can be a bad ass. You should be! But you will also experience loss occasionally, and suffering and your character will not "win" every time because that is not what role playing is about.
And I as the GM will decide when Individual Boss characters and monsters die. But say, you are fighting in a large scale battle and want to chop through a number of grunts or enemy soldiers in your post, go for it.
Post Frequency
I will not be able to post every night. I hope that is something you can understand. I will be on several nights out of the week but there will be a few stretches where I am not able to post for days at a time.
I do not like getting back on to a number of pokes. One poke is enough, and also unnecessary as I will respond as soon as I can. On days when I am able to be on, I will reply multiple times per day.
Adventures
And now for the fun part... Picking Your Story. Below will be several different genres each with their own ideas and plots. Please feel free to ask me about your top favorite genres and fandoms. And I will let you know my thoughts for the plot.
Please be aware that I am also open to input on the plots and you are more than welcome to suggest changes or additions to the story.
I hope you are interested in letting me GM a fun story and build an exciting world for you. Please know that you will be in complete control of your own custom character. Their relations their backgrounds are all totally yours. I may ask questions to find out and help you develop more backstory for your character and possibly bring characters from your past into the roleplay, but I will never control your character or make up lore for them that you haven't yet provided or at least alluded to.
Also, if you are someone who loves to build out the world as well, please don't think that you can't help take part in shaping the story. Because I am a reactive GM who loves to improvise around my partners actions and posts and if you say something or add something to the world then I will fit it into our story and even build it up even more.
