Discussing the vortex and sapphire studies ought to be done out of the earshot of the public and it appeared as though Telio still needed to collect himself. Urkwia was fine with giving him time to eat and settle before they got into the heavy stuff. Telio began to explain this his father wasn't proud of his son, despite the title Telio had earned for himself. And despite the accomplishments and attempts, his father had yet to see the promise of what exploring and stone collecting could do for the faraway kingdom where he came from. Her heart went out to him. Her parents wanted her to be a Queen, not one distracted by her hobby of gems. Even so, she knew her parents were proud of her and did love her. From the sounds of it, Telio wasn't sure he was accepted by his own blood, which was quite sad.

The boy then explained that he wasn't offended easily, which she could envy. His concept of going with the flow was one she had yet to master. She could go out and chat with people but she was usually too wrapped up in her own head to act so casual and relaxed. On top of that, he had the benefit of traveling while she did not. She only traveled between the two major cities and was often polite and tried not to ruffle any feathers. She just gave a bit of a nod and pressed her lips together. Even though he said he wasn't insulted and didn't want her being ashamed of anything, the woman still felt as though she had done something wrong, in attempt to not do anything wrong at all. An unsettled pit hung in the middle of her stomach as she began to eat a bit more bread.

Thankfully, the topic went back to the sapphires and she could start to relax again.

Telio began to recount his side of the story, talking about the stones flickering. And they were dark, like hers. "Yes, that's what happened to me as well." She told him as he hit the stones together. She fetched her bag and gabbed a handful of the stones and found the two she had been using. As he spoke about how the teleportation may have worked, she began to resort the gems, she had been doing it by size but had yet to try color. In her mind, it made sense for magic to dwell in large stones but she didn't think about the color at all. "Hm?" She looked up when he asked about getting a map. That would be a good place to start. "Alright." She got up and left for a few minutes. When she returned, she had a large map rolled up. She looked at the messy table and just decided the floor would have to do.

Bending down, she unraveled the map and looked at the land and water that had been labeled. It was all labeled. Not in great detail but it was enough to guide people to and from one place to another. "This is where we are." She pointed to the marking on the map. "I don't see any place called...what was it? El...dan?" She licked her lips but saw nothing that could be it. She stood up, feeling rather uneasy about the idea. For a moment, she toyed with the notion that this was some big set-up by her parents. That Telio was a clever actor who was paid to run into her and then discount her findings once and for all. Then she'd be forced to give up and move on. But as soon as the nasty notion fell into her head, it wad quickly discarded.

Her parents wouldn't do such a thing.

And the boy seemed honest enough. Even so, she had no idea where he came from and neither of them knew of the other. Sure, the world was big but they should have had some place that they were familiar with. "What about the Falls of Delphun? They're waterfalls that feed into a great big lake." She pointed to it. It seemed Telio hadn't heard of it either. "Or what about Ceegle? It's a really seedy island where a lot of criminals like to hide." She asked him. Nothing. Urkwia walked over and got a drink, trying to figure things out. It was just so unlikely that they'd be so disconnected in terms of geology. What else was there? As she looked over at her books and artifacts, she let her mind wander to some of the stories she had read for fun.

While they were fictional and fun, she did recall some tales telling of other worlds, other places. There was a book talking about a world that was so vastly different, that it was all made of cold stone and had odd devices that let people communicate without needing a pen and parchment. Was it possible that Telio was from another world? Those ideas were only found between the pages of books or told at bedtime to scare children into behaving. "Do you think it's possible...that the reason you know nothing of our world is that..." She chewed on her lower lip, still uneasy. "Could there be another world? Another planet..." Just saying the idea was madness but she set her cup down and shook her head, her heart racing. If it were the case, it meant they had uncovered something so much bigger than what they had ever theorized.
I figure if we put Rose in Amy's place, Eleven would still crash land wherever Rose is, and we could have another "case" or "issue" rather than the crack in the wall, since that ended up spanning a season, if not more. As for what Rose and Eleven would do, is up for discussion. When I do DW roleplays, I tend to pick out episodes that have been done already, and tweak them a bit for a new set of characters. So if we wanted to do "The Doctor and Vincent" for example, we could have Rose and Eleven deal with the monster, rather than the canon characters. That's just an example of course, and when we'd get the hang of it, I have no issues making up our own plots or even planets and aliens but for the most part, it's usually easier to use canon episodes until we're feeling comfortable. I'd say it depends who plays Rose and how they want to kick things off, since Eleven doesn't need much altering at the moment.

For HP, it might be a bit of overkill to use both the TT and the potion. Maybe the order would make it a bit less "creepy" in a sense. I figure a potion would be a decent accident, say if someone botched a potion and it was spilled on or drank by Remus, it could work out alright. Again, it would depend on the timing on how we wanted things to flow. If we do something post-war, we'll still need some kind of conflict to keep things on track, it just depends if we want more war/danger or something less hectic.

I assume we could do both, one doubling as Hermione and Eleven and the other as Remus and Rose?
I have come up with two minimum sheets, I'll probably pick one when I've done more playing around, unless you have one you'd prefer me to play. Both are works in progress, so I'll see how I'm feeling as I make tweaks and such.

I've seen it later than most people so my opinion was probably formed partly due to all of the hype. I didn't think it was great. It was entertaining and beautiful but I don't think it's something people need to be obsessing about so much. The music was decent, but the characters and message(s) that could be derived were a bit...I dunno, it just seemed like Disney tried a little too hard when it came to trying to be cute as well as "smart" with whatever lessons could have been learned from the movie. I didn't care a lot for Olaf much, maybe if I did, I'd find the movie more funny. I didn't care much for the romance in the story, even with the endgame as it was, I didn't really buy into the outcome. While I don't regret watching it and can see some of the appeal, it's not a movie I'd really recommend with as much vigor as everyone else.
I've had enough family time for a while...>___>'

I'm kind of hungry, why would you do that to me? Well, better you eat them than letting them go to waste. Hmmm.

There were roosters and chickens everywhere, it was kind of crazy. So if the birds weren't annoying me, I come home to dogs. I miss having space and peace and quiet. Getting away was good and I do love traveling and talking to other people but I am happy to be in my own bed, shower, etc. I did get a tablet so I can post from my bed now. Heheheh.
Finally back and have thoroughly read the OOC a few times. I did skim it while I was away but the connection (and time) was pretty crap so I decided to just wait so here I am now. I have a question regarding this bit: "The Kayaka River is known for turning brilliant hues of red and orange upon sunset, allowing it to turn almost entirely red at certain parts of the year. This has led to it being called the "Red" or "Bloody" river and as it often leads to Mount Kiroka some even believe it becomes an opening to Hell and releases spirits during those times of year. At its most brilliant, the reflection of the river can even cause the fog of Mount Kiroka to glow an ominous crimson color; making it one of the most beautiful and dread events of the year, so much that even school is canceled."

Maybe it's the wording or something but I'm not sure if the "timing" of the Bloody occurrence is specified. You mentioned it happens at sunset but wouldn't school be already out by nightfall? Or are you assuming it's a year-round school thing where they may be in class when the sun may set early? Or is that winter? I can never remember...anyway, I was just curious as to when it happens and if residents of the town do anything to "appease" any of the spirits which may be upset or haunting the area. I assume due to the location, it would be a nice place for demons or spirits to dwell and play tricks or cause trouble.

Another question was how people would die. I may be assuming here, but due to the school being a little rocky, would there be some sort of school shooting? An incident may be a binding pact for the group who need to come together and become Spirit Detectives.

I have taken six years of Japanese, so if you ever do need help with geography or culture/lore, I'd be happy to help but if you want to keep things a bit fictional on the fly, that's cool as well. I assume we can use whatever format of CS we'd like. I should have time to get something together, probably a female character who is superstitious or one who the exact opposite, a woman of science and fact, who would probably balk at the idea of spirits and the afterlife. So either end of the spectrum is what I'm thinking, to make things less dull/predictable.
I am finally back! I'm a bit sunburn but oh well. Sorry about the delay, I honestly thought I'd have time and decent internet. I was so wrong. Anyway, this needs to get pumping. IC will be up soon, I swear, this time I mean it. (I don't have much else going on now woooo)

@Archangel89: Depends on the character and yourself as a writer. We're about to kick things off (finally amirite) and waiting would have to be worth it, otherwise I'd advise on coming in at a later chapter, but again, CS pending.

Hello I was reading some of these and I would like to do one with you. Either the with Eleven and Rose or the one with Remus and Hermione. Now I have separate questions for both fandoms and I hope you'll be able to answer them :D I see from your signature that you won't be home until the twenty-fourth which won't be much of a problem, however, I'm going to be out with some high school friends of mine so I probably won't be able to answer right away but I will check here every so often that I can.

For Doctor Who, I feel it's good to warn you that I'm now at season 7. Now for the questions: how would Rose have gotten to this universe? What happened to the Meta-crises? Because of will Rose be aging slower or something? What about River, will she continue to be the Doctor's Wife or will the words she said to the Doctor be when she met him at The Library for him to trust her and she and Rose are friends? For HP I watched all eight movies but I couldn't get past I think chapter ten or something in the last book, because I was so angry at JK Rowling for killing off Dumbledore that I just couldn't read it. So here's my questions for the Remus and Hermione pairing: Will this be during the third year of school, or will she have gone to the past during the Marauders era? If it is the first option will the years be similar to those in the book or will the third year be like...sixteen or something? And in the last should she have a time turner that breaks after she winds up in the Marauders era?

I can write a paragraph or more depending on what I get from my partner and I will usually match or exceed expectations especially if my muse is done being lazy :)

Hello there. I've been quite busy (glad you noticed, some don't) but have time to conjure up a reply now. I'll probably answer by fandom:

Doctor Who - I am up to date for DW. I will say that I really don't like Clara or River and would either exclude them or have a slight "AU" where neither has existed within the canon-verse (I think they're too complex and a bit gimmicky anyway). Either way, I don't intend to deal with them. As far as "Ten-too" or whatever people like to call him, he could have either died somehow since he was supposedly human. I was never a big fan of Rose and Ten as I was Rose and Nine so I'm not too attached to them as it is. So I'm up for suggestions regarding his fate with her when they left each other. It could happen in many ways, either Rose could do some growing up and admit that clinging to the past is wrong and whatnot, and let go of the doppelganger, or something could easily happen to Rose.

In my book, she's in a new dimension so it's not uncommon for her to run into another Doctor (sadly not Nine again) and she could easily take the place of Amy (ex: he meets Rose in place of Amy and soon Rory) or something, otherwise she could work with UNIT or something, get her own time travel thing (name escapes me, the one Jack would use) and poke around the universe with either "Ten" or just by herself, since she did become quite independent over time. (though I'd say her change was for the worse when it came to her being more stone faced and military-like)

If we keep Rose's status as Bad Wolf, I don't see why there couldn't be tiny hints of her perhaps knowing the ins and outs of time travel, and depending how AU we wanted to go off the map, she could have just made her own device and done some exploring on her own. So a lot to think about, depending on the tone and development we want because a good amount of time should probably pass before Rose meets Eleven.

Harry Potter - I was actually happy to see old Dumbledore go, I might be the only one but he was kind of a dick in my mind. ^^; But not finishing the last book isn't such a bad thing, the ending was a bit of a letdown. *shrugs*

I would like to start the Remus and Hermione pair in third year, with the use of either the Time Turner or perhaps even some sort of age reversing potion which could have turned Remus into his youth. If we wanted something post-war, I'm fine with Hermione breaking up with Ron, having finished school but still being unsettled. So she could use her Time Turner, assuming she kept it and go back to seek comfort from Remus (who would be dead?) since he could have been some confidant perhaps during his years of Hogwarts or even a bit after, since those are left in the air, I think.

Does that help?
Bump.
