With James' long-winded response as to if he was making a resolution or not, she felt a little silly about giving her response but she didn't see the point in lying to save face or something. "Oh well yeah I think so." She admitted lightly. "But I think I wanna keep it a secret so no one bugs me about it or jinxes it." She told him, leaving it at that. The topic and tone was changed when they were joined by Alex who was also invited. "Laser tag would be a fun change, a lot less mess would be welcomed in my book." Sasha told the boys. She wasn't too sure if she wanted to do the zombie thing, she didn't mind the idea at all but she had hoped she wouldn't be stuck doing too many zany guy fantasies.

"Yeah." She looked back to James. "By then we won't be stuck at the bottom anymore and maybe we'll get some new members." She began to think about the incoming Freshmen and how that would go. It was an odd thought and a very faraway one at that. The girl just looked back at the telly. "Either way, we can talk more with the club and find plenty of ideas and adventures for everyone to enjoy and sign up for. You can't please everyone so it's better to have other ideas and meet-ups for different sorts of interests." She pointed out. "Oh it's almost time, you guys!" She said and scooted to the edge of the couch as the clock began to countdown from the two minute mark. "The last teen year for the 2000s, they grow up so fast."

Sasha was looking forward to 2020 as well but that would be in another year and then some extra minutes.

For now, she was happy to be where she was and around good company. As it began to enter the under-one-minute time, she glanced back to James and the others. She had so much to be grateful for and look forward to. She wasn't sure where she'd be in a year or even five for that matter, but she could enjoy the present and wanted to make the most of it. As the final ten seconds began to countdown, she sat back and grabbed James' hand, holding onto it. "Yeah! Happy New Year!" She cheered and turned to him, kissing him softly which earned a few comments from the others in the room.

She laughed and blushed. "I better go now." She said to James. "I better go relieve the babysitter of duty so she can go have fun ringing in the new year." Sasha sighed and got up. It was fun to spend the once in a lifetime event with James and everyone else but she was a little drained and glad that 2019 was upon them so she could go home. "See you." She waved and headed outside. It was chilly, as to be expected but for now, there wasn't any rain which was a real shocker. Sasha hurried over to her house down the street and took over for the babysitter and called her parents to inform them that she was now home, safe and sound, not blowing up things with fireworks like other kids her age.

February 11'th 2019

There were only three days that separated her and Valentines Day and Sasha couldn't be more excited.

This would be the first time she'd have a date, a real date with a real boyfriend. She wasn't sure what they should plan but she was hoping it would be something amazing. The blond walked around the school, hearing people talk about plans they had for the holiday which would happen on a Friday this year. Some were nervous and talking about asking people out with baked goods, while others were bragging about going someplace in the country and having a romantic night. The girl hadn't really talked about it with James yet but she was planning to over lunch. After the morning classes concluded, she pulled James aside before they met up with their group of friends. "Hey." She smiled. "I thought we should have lunch by ourselves today if that's okay." She suggested, her hand holding onto his still.
Ha I don't watch those, well I've seen bits of One Piece but I've read it more than anything else. I guess all the anime and manga I know are at least ten or five years old by now. Oh well. ^^; I'm happy to be an old far, just sucks I don't have many people to talk with about em.
That was a good episode, I really enjoyed the development and themes it had, made me remember why ALTA was such a hit.
After getting out and watching him drive off, she moved to sit down on the nearby bench, paying no mind to the wetness seeping through her pants. Magic was real. And it was involved in a war in some far away world. Anabelle had no idea what to think, her mind had just stopped working. One of her coworkers found her outside and asked if she was alright. Ana answered honestly and said that she wasn't and that she needed to take a couple days off to feel better. The woman took a cab home and surprised her mother with an early arrival. "Darling, you're wet. What happened?" She asked.

"A boy came to me...and we talked."

"Oh, a boy." Mahea smiled. "What was he like?"

"He can do magic. Like me." Ana said flatly and sat on the couch, pulling a blanket around herself to warm her up and also as a means to feel a bit safe. She was sure a fight would ensue and neither women enjoyed such things. Her mother turned pale and the two then began a back and forth about lies and deception. It grew heated but Ana soon got up to confront her mother who had remained standing during the argument. "I can do things for people, good things, mother. Why can't you let me embrace it?" She glared. Her mother insisted that she was inexperienced and therefore dangerous but Anabelle didn't want to hear about it. "I was terrified of myself for the longest time, you made me feel ashamed and crazy!"

"I did it to protect you and our life here!"

"There's some war going on and I could help!"

"You could die!" Her mother retorted.

"Shut up, just shut up! I'm old enough to make my own choices, I'm tired of being tucked away in the corner, not living a real life!" Ana said and suddenly her mother began to cough violently. Mahea began to shake and she fell to her knees. Suddenly blood burst from the older woman's mouth as she continued to cough up blood. "Mom!" Ana knelt down with her. "I'm so sorry!" She wasn't sure what she did or how to help now. Mahea raised a hand and began to tap her collar bone. Suddenly the pain stopped and she wiped the blood away with the back of her hand. "You can...heal too." Ana got to her feet.

"I can." Mahea said horsey and went into the kitchen to make them some tea to calm the waters. "Call this boy of yours, I need to talk to him and you together." She said. Ana nodded and pulled out the number she had been given. It was a bit late but she figured he'd want a call sooner rather than later from her. She accepted the cup of tea from her mother and waited for Kieran to answer, it seemed he was sleeping since she had to leave a message. The girl gave him her number and address and mentioned her fight with her mother and how something weird happened but that things were okay and that she wanted to talk to them. She then hung up and remained rather quiet as her mother sat beside her in the living room of their small apartment.

He too had fond memories of foraging with family in the past. Of course those days seemed so long ago and people might mistake the faded memories for fantasies but they were real. Devon wasn't about to question the validity of his past. It would not end well for him. "Like hunting for food, gathering simple herbs and berries is a task generations use to bond." He smiled to her. He began to collect a few handfuls of things that caught his own eye. A few herbs and leaves which he knew could be useful for healing or cooking. The dark haired boy sighed as he noticed that Rhys had become rather engrossed in their activity.

Rather than bother her, he went about making sure the area was safe. Even if no humans were around them, animals could still pose a threat. And if caught, they could have a great meal. Sadly, no such luck was granted and they finished and went back on the main road to continue walking through the forest. After several hours of walking, making idle chit chat, they seemed to be approaching a town. He could tell with all the faint thoughts and clamor entering his head. He glanced to Rhys when she asked where they should camp. Where they were, or in the town up ahead.

He had been to it several times and had good fortune there. It was the town he and Kieran had agreed to meet at. It was welcoming to people with magical talents. It was like a cozy second home and a refuge for others like him and Rhys. "Normally I would prefer to camp here like you but this is what we've been looking for. We can stay here for a few days and maybe Kieran will pop up." He told her and continued to walk, rather glad it hadn't taken too long to reach the town. He wasn't sure of Rhys and her abilities but so far she was keeping up and he was impressed with that. "I guess time moves a little faster when you have good company." He smiled to her as they walked.

When they approached the town, there were tall brick walls around it and people were guarding it with torches. "Friends!" He raised an arm at the gate.

"Devon, it's been too long. Who is with you? Is that a girl? I'm not too surprised there." One of the guards joked and opened the gate. Devon shook his head and motioned for Rhys to go ahead of him.

"Have you seen or heard from Kieran?" He asked as they entered the city. It was made of grey stone and had torches lit, lighting many of the streets and alleys. "This is a safe heaven for magicians, we even have a library of information maybe we'll find someone to help you." He mentioned to Rhys.

"I believe we got word from someone in the other world that he had found a healer." An elderly man approached them. "Hello. I'm Edbris, I foresee everything in this, the Town of Yarlow." He said and bowed to Rhys and looked back to Devon who seemed intrigued by the idea of a healer. They were rare. "He may be arriving any day now." Edbris said, stroking his long curly white beard thoughtfully. "The best portal between two worlds is inside our city, at the center. It isn't the only means someone can use but it is quite good." He said to Rhys with a proud nod. "We all take pride in our magical skills and people who don't have them are still welcome to live here in harmony. When everyone works together, the world is a much better place." He said. Devon sensed a long old story coming on and put an arm around Rhys' shoulders.

"We'll just go get something to eat, it's been a long day for us." Devon said and bowed his head before quickly leading her down another street towards a selection of taverns and other restaurants.
Just about done with my post. :3
Hey you have a job (which might be your demise) so you're still lucky. Some old folks are getting fired (totally uncool). Eh well enough about the shitty economy...unless we're gonna have an OLD OFF, where we see who is the oldest person IN THE WORLD!

But it's almost time to go eat dinner you know, it being almost 3PM and all...
Any injuries sustained on the job were covered by their top notch insurance. Though Mima had hoped everything done by the troublesome duo could be patched up with some simple measures. Anything major would be needed to be taken care of at the nearest hospital and reports would then be made to the Gvn regarding the issues that had taken place. For now, the girl wasn't too worried about the group but she did notice that Satoru seemed more quiet and uncomfortable than after a usual jaunt into the DgtWld. 'Of course this time, things didn't go so well.' She considered, trying to taste anything besides bitterness in her mouth. Turning back to the others, Satoru made a small joke which earned a roll of the eyes from Soshi and a snort.

Soshi decided to take Satoru's next remarks more seriously, "They picked us because we know very little about computers which means they can better control us and our avatars. They also selected us because of our moral values and that we're pretty neutral in society. I don't think we're idiots by a long shot, and I don't think the Gvn does either...of course they still keep us at arm's length." He shrugged a little. "Ow, shit that burns." He waved a hand at Mimamoru who had finished patching up his face. She looked around to find her next target but it seemed that Sarah quickly found something else to do. "Whatever their issue is, we can't do much about it now." Soshi said with a sigh. It was hard to walk away when they hadn't made a positive difference. "We can't win em all."

Everyone was trying to give their two cents. It made Mimamoru quite proud to see the team still able to rally together after what happened. If was her younger self, just a beginning Corrector, she would have blamed herself for the faulty defensive spells she had used. But now that she had years of experiences, having dealt with both loss and victory, she was able to see a big picture. In reality she had done the best she could given the sudden attack and it made her smarter for the fights to come. Her knowledge would help the Gvn collect better data and the team as whole would be able to fight better next time. She gave Sarah a nod as she set the kit aside for the time being.

"Oh!" She blushed and waved a hand at Yasukazu. "Too bad I left my nurse outfit at home!" She joked and grabbed the kit to see if he needed any assistance. Soshi headed over to where Sarah was, helping himself to some chocolates too.

"The intermission is over, let's get things back on track!" He grinned and looked to his cell phone on his wrist. He pressed two buttons and some music started to play, a nice upbeat pop song by the artist XY3. It was all the rage around the world and even he couldn't deny it had some crazy charm to it. As the night continued to roll onward, no new information or alerts came to them so they were free to enjoy themselves without any further trips into the DgtWld. As things began to wind down and more drinks consumed, Soshi was settled on the couch with Yasukazu. "You know, you and I could do some more digging into these two weirdos." He expressed.

Mimamoru, on the other hand was off playing video games with the others, it was a cool racing game. Any fighting games in her mind were ruined thanks to their job. So she was happy to stick to puzzles or racing games to get her mind away from the black hole which was work. She paused the game and glanced over her shoulder. She thought she saw something out the window. It was probably a bird. Mima went back to playing and after the race was over, she coming in dead last as usual, she still managed to wear a red faced smile. "I think that was my new personal best!" She said as she took another shot. "You know if we keep this up...we all might have a big giant awesome sleep over at Soshi's house."

Just as she clumsily put down the empty shot glass, the door opened. It wasn't anyone she recognized. Soshi stood up and six people in black suits walked in with black shades. At first glance one would mistake them for the typical JPN Gvn but instead of the nation's flag pinned to their suit, it was instead a Romanian flag. "What's going on?" He asked but the men and women in suits simply threw out small gas grenades and slipped on gas masks in a very fluid but calm manner. "Everyone get down!" Soshi said and ran towards the back of the suit. Mimamoru stumbled backwards and put a hand over her mouth while trying to shield her friends with her body though it didn't help much as the small round balls began to emit a green fog.

His vision began to fade as Soshi stumbled to the floor and everyone else quickly lost consciousness.

The six people, two women and four men, began to pick up the bodies of the friends and collected their circular tools. They headed outside to the elevator after locking up and ensuring everything looked as it should. Once in the elevator, they removed their masks and made a call to the crew waiting in the street. It was dark enough and still private due to the holiday celebrations, that they could move people without anyone noticing. Of course the security cameras had already been toyed with, to ensure no one saw what was happening in the future or by accident. Once the Correctors were deposited into the silver van, it sped off to a small airport.

The gas was odorless and tasteless, it would subdue them for several hours while being taken back to Romania. And hours later, after the quick jet ride across the world, the Correctors were now situated in a large room. It was decorated with red velvet carpet and had pictures of the country's history displayed in gold frames around the room. There were plush beds and couches where the Correctors had been laid out. The room had a globe, a desk, an old record player, and one door in the northeast corner. It blended with everything and the only hint that there was a door, was a small gold keypad. Soshi slowly sat up as he finally regained consciousness. "What the hell..." He licked his dry lips and say on the mahogany desk, a tray of tea and cookies. He didn't move from the couch.

"Guys, get up." He said quickly. He didn't see any windows but he was sure they were being watched.

"Whaaaat?" Mimamoru moaned and rolled on her side, in bed with Sarah. But a few seconds later, it all came flooding back to long haired blond. "Oh!" She then pushed herself out of bed and ended up rolling off it entirely. She quickly got up and looked around. The dark green walls and red carpeting were a bit odd and dated but she didn't sense danger. But at the same time, she didn't sense safety either. "We were kidnapped? Please tell me this is a really complicated joke. Haha." She walked around but didn't get any new clues. "Soshi, your phone is gone." She said, panicking. That wasn't good, they couldn't lose their cell phones or anything could happen to them with the MChip link-up and syncing process. "Mine's gone too!" She checked herself.

"Shit." Soshi rubbed his forehead. "Someone brought us here...but why?" He looked back at the tea, his mouth dry. It was tempting but he was still worried. But if tea would kill them, he didn't see the point in them being taken somewhere and then killed. He decided it would be a safe bet to make. "I think we can eat and drink until someone tells us what's going on." Soshi walked over and poured a few small cups of tea for everyone.

"It's not Japanese tea, that's for sure." Mima pouted and took a sip after sniffing it.
I went to a big JPop Fest this weekend, let's just say I recognized maybe one fandom out of the thousands of crap they were selling. I felt old as dirt. But I felt smarter because not all of my money was wasted. Muahaha! Eh kids these days, no respect. XP
I just had a great idea for my post, thanks .Hack and G.I.T.S!
