I don't know if her parents seem like the type to suggest arranged marriage or dating, with Hermione being independent as she is.

I figure returning home would need to be a generally unanimous choice, should one or two not care and stay on the ship, the others would be free to go check on loved ones, buy lotto tickets they knew would be winners, etc. I assume you also meant "present" or slightly distant future, since they're length away can be as short or as long as we'd like.

Perhaps we may start a few months after the final battle and have Hermione convince Harry to clean up his remaining link with his relatives after he's been feeling lost as to where his life should go? And since both of their relationship with the two youngest Weasley didn't work and they grey close to Luna, the two blonds could meet that way later on.

We could suggest that Luna wants more independence from her father and may consider getting a room someplace with Hermione while they consider what to do after the war. Harry reconciling with Dudley and everyone would be good too, Dudley needs that development. In terms of post-war, we'll need some kind of conflict or glue to keep them together. I'm not sure if we want to focus on personal bonds between the various characters or cook up another enemy, be it someone evil or possibly some kind of external threat to the wizarding world like someone threatening to reveal everything to muggles, or something.

In terms of what Harry would do after the war, I see him wanting to teach more than become an Auror. And I could see Luna wanting to continue the Quibbler but also find her own voice through either art or prose.

I think we'd have to start in the muggle world, either before the big battle or make some tweaks and make Dudley a possible wizard who was some sort of late bloomer...

Magic in the Space Between

His company was welcomed, though she would have understood if he had work to do or felt like having another night in. Having been outside for a while, she was remembering how nice sunsets could be. On the run with Harry and Ron made her overlook such things. And with the war over, having swallowed its casualties, she needed to get back to enjoying life. It would take time but Hermione knew she couldn't stay in the dark forever. The deaths she had witnessed didn't mean she had to resign herself to her own early grave after all.

"Alright." Hermione responded. "I'll go get ready then." She said and set her tea aside and headed back up to her room.She changed out of her usual clothes and slipped on some jeans and a simple gray long sleeve shirt. She brushed her hair out and tucked her wand in her boot, under her jeans, just in case. She wasn't sure if they would be dining in the muggle world or not but she wanted to take precautions either way. She glanced at the work she had left to and figured it wouldn't be too bad if she went out and enjoyed herself. It had been so long since she had even considered such a thing. Hermione headed back down and pulled on a scarf and waited for Remus.

It was very interesting. The Doctor looked around and smelled the air. It seemed a little off but it was that typical smell that came along with Earth itself. He leaned over to Rose and smelled her too. Just checking. He listened to the woman talk about the weight and how it was gone every morning. On top of that, there was a noise too? He held back a grin as it didn't seem professional to grin at the notion of a clue. "I see. I see." He nodded and glanced to his blond partner in crime. In his mind, he was already thinking about how something could be making noise at night which also related to weight just falling away so fast. It didn't make sense.

And that excited him. He decided the best way to figure it out, would be to witness it first hand. He was fine with that, even if waiting could be boring. Having time pass as it usually did wasn't the most fun thing in the entire universe. The Doctor folded his arms. "Well thank you." He told her. "You shouldn't worry about anything, it's perfectly normal." He assured her, not wanting to alarm her. "We best be off now, plenty to talk to and all that, come along!" He waved to Rose and headed for the door. "I think we better return later and see this for ourselves." He muttered into her ear. The brown haired alien stepped outside and looked around. What to do until then? Grab some tea perhaps?

Beyond a Fire's Embers

If we wanted the arena to be big, we could have a small desolate town, a marsh/swamp, a rocky cavern and a maybe some sort of grassy field with some trees. So maybe the town could have snowfall, the marsh/swamp could be rainy and muddy, the rocky area could be dry and hot and the meadow could have beasts and bugs? A bit of a mix of challenges? I figure maybe the town in the middle with a cornucopia and the other stuff around it in thirds?

I think if Haymitch got picked, he might have to change strategies, if he knew about the plot, it might tip off Snow when they're watching, he may need to trust Peeta or someone like Finnick or Johanna to handle things? I think a lot of time should be spent in the arena before the breakout happens. Even then, I'm not glued to district 13, we could always have some interception happen where the four (or any others we want) end up someplace else entirely? We'd still need Peeta to get snagged by Snow I think, perhaps Effie and Cinna too?

Yeah, I'm hoping I'll have time this week to poke around the Old Who. I'll be house sitting and pet sitting for some friends so getting out of the house and having time to write will be nice. I've been entering a few writing contests and getting ready for my winter semester. I still need to watch the last two episodes of DW. >__> I better do that before I leave this week. I just haven't been thrilled to get back to Clara...

I think a new arena would be cool. The idea of the clock was cool. I think we could some up with something on our own. Do we want something sort of sci-fi city or rustic with woods?

In terms of them escaping, we can probably edit when it happens or if it needs to be prolonged. Considering Haymitch was in on it and now he's in the games, it might need to be pushed back a little? Do you think Snow would brief district 1/2 on maybe trying to befriend "Team District 12" and maybe try to infiltrate their circle? Maybe?
