Eagle? Oh no, hopefully it doesn't hint at Gale getting bald. ^^;

And yes, fuck death, er...well do anything to forget about being a pretty corpse. ^^;

Sorry for the lack of posting. Its just a long work week. 13 out 14 days. Ugh.

It's okay, hopefully you also find time to rest/take a load off. ^^;
Gale nodded to Amethyst and returned the handshake though its possible undertones failed to connect with the handsome tribute as he soon dropped his hand to his side only after giving the woman a handshake too. "It's nice to meet you both." He said. It was an honest statement. He wasn't too tense when it came to making light idle chit chat with the pair known as Amethyst and Lilas. He let go of Prim's hand and used it to ran hand through his hair, not sure what to say next. He felt as though things had run their course. They had made a somewhat decent, almost good, impression on the two and he felt pretty pleased with himself.

Still he figured he should try and get to know the pair a bit better to help ensure their support was appreciated, as it would be. "So um...what do you do around the Capitol?" He hadn't found much fun beyond the lights so he was needless to say, unimpressed but from the look of things, Amethyst and Lilas enjoyed their lush lifestyle in their bustling city of fortune and glamour. It was a bit sickening to think that one place could be doing so well when everyone else was suffering and the Capitol had no one fighting on its behalf for a tireless, pointless tradition which had no real value or use. "We're not allowed to leave so it's hard to imagine." He added, trying not sound too bitter as he pocketed his hands in his pockets.

Lilas looked to her friend and let out a small giggle. "There is so much to do, it's a shame you two can't enjoy the city for all it's worth."

Which was a lot, too much even, in Gale's mind.

"Yes, it's quite the shame that I cannot show you around myself, an eagle such as yourself shouldn't be confined in such a gilded cage." Amethyst sympathized. "I do hope you are still enjoying yourselves though."

Gale glanced to Prim, not sure what to say to any of that. He missed home and he hated pretending to be happy where he was, when some much could go wrong for those he knew and cared about. The plan and Prim were the only things keeping him from snapping like Johanna. He gave a small shrug, trying to still be polite to the two. He knew they couldn't be blamed for the situation which he had willingly walked into. "I have been able to find some enjoyment if I look hard enough." Gale smiled slightly. He knew when he'd be in the middle of the arena, the shared moments with his friends would help push him through whatever hell he may find himself in. Gale was sure any help for their four tributes would be wonderful. "Thank you for your support though, it means a lot to us." He said, his tone warming up a bit more.

Before she could realize it, Haymitch had wandered off and Katniss couldn't really do much except for head off on her own to figure out what she was supposed to do. Interviewing gave her more than enough anxiety but speaking one on one to real people made it almost as daunting as if she had cameras and lights on her. Still, she was sure it wouldn't take long for her to convince people that she was the same person as she was before, even if that was a dirty lie. She saw someone staring at her and she figured she might as well engage them so their eyes would stop bugging her. "Hi." Katniss said and immediately wished she had something else, anything else that didn't make her sound like a child. "I'm Katniss Everdeen from District 12."

Of course they knew that.

"I know exactly who you are!" The female said. She had a pink wig on which had a large hair bow on top of her head. Her eye lashes were also pink and she had on a big white and pink ball gown. "My name is Jenella and I was such a fan last year, I can't wait to see what you do this year!" She exclaimed and reached out to shake Katniss' hand. Jenella had on white lace gloves with the ends cut off to reveal her aqua painted finger nails which almost cut Katniss' hand. Katniss looked down and quickly pulled her arm back. "Oh sorry, I forgot how long I had these down, they make me feel so fierce!" She laughed and held up her two inch nails as if they were claws. "I must say, Katniss, you ended up breaking up things with my boyfriend last year, he was nuts about you." She said.

"Oh...I'm sorry...?" Katniss wasn't sure what to say.

"Oh, I forgive him now, when I saw you with Peeta in that cave, you totally won me over and I wish I had been able to help but now I should be able to give you something." Jenella assured her. "You two were so cute together! I'm really disappointed I won't get to see him in the Games." She admitted and pressed her pink lips together. "I bet you're happy he's not though...I do hope you or your sister make it out, it would break my heart to see either beautiful girl exit before the show was truly over." She reached out and cupped Katniss' face who used all of her will power not to back away or hit Jenella for invading her personal space. "I hope if you are killed, it is a truly beautiful and deserving death. Everyone loves you and no one wants to see you leave us." She said sweetly.

Katniss had heard enough about her own mortality and tried to gather herself but found it hard when she was getting choked up. Now she was torn between crying and yelling but thankfully she heard Haymitch calling out to her. "I won't die, not if I get help." Katniss just said before she headed off to see what Haymitch wanted. She was then introduced to someone who she assumed was a friend of Haymitch's but Katniss wasn't in a talkative mood anymore. She knew she'd probably die but now the thought seemed more heartbreaking since she had someone to lose, someone to leave behind who wasn't blood. "Thanks." Katniss just said, trying to push those grim visions away that depicted her death or someone else's like Prim or Haymitch or Gale.

She shook Bea's hand and then she finally registered what Haymitch had said moments before Bea had spoken. "12 is pretty strong, I'm glad I was able to finally prove that to everyone else." She said. They may not be the best looking or smartest but they worked hard and never gave up, not after all the accidents and harsh winters, 12 was still moving forward however it could. "I'm sure we'll do well this year." She flashed a quick smile though she felt like she needed another drink. "My sister and Gale are wonderful though, you should see the things they do during training, there's no doubt they'll continue to fight the way I did last year." Katniss assured Bea. As much as she didn't want to die, as much as Katniss wanted to fight for the others, Jenella's words ha rattled her as she made it sound as though their lives were something so fleeting and meaningless if it didn't have blood and other effects and music.

"You're so welcome, Gale." Amethyst said and leaned in to give him a hug and kiss on the cheek. "Now off with you before I try and sneak you out of here myself." He said, waving a hand to Prim and Gale.

"Oh, thank you...it was nice to meet you two." Gale looked to Prim and headed off with her, not sure what had really happened but it seemed better than their first attempt. "I guess that wasn't so bad." Gale said to Prim, not sure whether or not Amethyst had indeed been hitting on him or not.
Oh no it didn't suck lol

I'll get something up before I go to bed, hopefully. Late night tv is keeping me pretty entertained tonight, gotta love Christoph Waltz.

EDIT - I did it. Gale really is a bit clueless and Jenella just dumped on Katniss' parade. Hah. ^^; Off to bed with me now~
We shall see how tempted I am lol
Nuuu~ I've gotten my face talked off with enough hockey to last five lifetimes. -___-'

And sweeet~

I'm taking my pill so we'll see how long it gives me tonight, I sorta feel like tackling another post though, maybe one more group...I dunno. >__>
Though Hermione had heard bits about Luna Lovegood, she really wasn't sure what she ought to expect.

Hermione liked to reckon she wasn't very judgmental or fell into pitfalls of gossip. Even so, she found herself very impressed with the thought Luna had put into the newsletter. Considering her classmates weren't very studious, she had nearly assumed that she would be shouldering the bulk of the newsletter. She had thought perhaps Luna had suggested it on a whim but that wasn't the case at all. Luna had a considerable amount of effort into the newsletter and Hermione was beside herself with excitement. It was unlike anyone she knew, to tackle a new project with so much gusto and vigor. So the more Luna explained her thought processes, the more Hermione was nodding with interest and encouragement, as well as mutual understanding and agreement.

Harry and Luna began an exchange which had also surprised Hermione. She didn't think Harry would have gotten so engrossed in the idea of simple interviewing. While they exchanged thoughts as well as ideas, Hermione had begun to make mental notes as to what she felt she could add to the conversation though it was a while before she was able to get a word in edgewise. To provide comfort, though not much, it seemed Malfoy was also feeling a bit left out but he appeared to not have as much valued input as the others. Hermione just listened intently and when Harry nudged her, she looked to him. "Oh...yes, right." Hermione glanced down and collected herself and looked back to the others who were waiting for her own additional input.

"I think we should also focus on aesthetics too." Since Luna had covered the direction and tone for the first edition of the newsletter, Hermione decided to weigh her ideas and fill in the gaps. "Since you have the content squared away," She began to explain. "and since we want to educate and reach out to as many students as possible, regardless of their school, we need to ensure the newsletter is eye catching and appealing." She said. "I can read up on what colors stand out and have the most positive influence on people. I know colors may sway people, depending on their House or school but since want to be inclusive to everyone, as opposed to exclusive, we should make a note to not favor one color scheme over another, for example." Hermione said. "Layout is also important and while I think interviews and history will be useful, we should also have other areas of interest to attract as many readers as possible."

Draco was an observer.

He watched as Potter and Luna spoke about the intricacies the paper. He wasn't paying much attention. He was doing his best not to give Granger and Potter looks of annoyance and aggravation.which took up a good deal of his focus. He was still torn between being positive and negative in regards to his new circumstances. This would surely test him in ways he hadn't yet imagined or comprehended. If Potter was going to involve himself in the paper, he knew he needed to brace himself for some arguments but he also considered this may be some sort of way to give himself more value, more merit when it came to having an advantage when it came to dealing with his father.

The details of what went on behind closed doors were slowly being revealed to Draco and he was sure his father was expecting his son to not only participate but also prove his own worth beyond the recognition of a last name. Draco was determined to reclaim the attention he knew he could earn and he had to put some faith in the ridiculous notion of a Hogwarts newsletter. It was somewhere to start, even if it meant pushing himself far beyond his comfort zone. "What about a name?" Draco found himself speaking up when Hermione had stopped adding her thoughts into the matter. "Hogwarts Newsletter doesn't really strike excitement." He pointed out as he slipped his hands into the pockets of his robe. "Have you thought about anything more...appealing?" He swiveled to Luna. "If you haven't, we could try to come up with some."

If his name was going to be attached to the letter, he wanted to make sure it wasn't done poorly. "Granger has a point though, the layout needs to help push content forward." He said. "You've clearly put some consideration into everything and I'm fine with whatever you want to do." He didn't really have any thoughts as it was, this was something that was just thrust upon him. At least the others had a bit more time to think about it. Draco felt a bit out of the loop but he refused to drag the group down, as he also refused to not contribute. His family was not one who freeloaded or tagged along with others. The Malfoy name was known to be strong, a family that paved a road and made sure it was a very striking road at that. The blond wanted to make his own mark and maybe the newsletter would help him gain his own recognition.

Hermione glanced to Draco, he had given her credit which was the most impressive thing she heard him say in quite some time. And she now had to also concede that he had a point as well. He caught her eyeing him and he gave her a look which caused her to look off, back to Luna. "I think we're making wonderful progress brainstorming." Hermione smiled slightly. "I'm looking forward to what we can create."

"How soon are you hoping to get this into peoples hands?" Draco asked Luna, a deadline was surely the first thing they should have brought up.
I doubt they'll look up my butt so if I try, who knows what can happen! Erm...>__> I'll try and do some digging but I'm not too worried or thinking about the game right now, I have other things to look forward to before that happens.
Hello & welcome to the Guild.

If you need anything, just ask, we're all friendly sorts around here.
Ewww no Starbucks please. *hisses* There's so many in our town, like fuuuuck no one needs to have 3 starbucks within five blocks of each other. A metal detector? I should ask my hockey friend who goes to games all the time and figure out what to expect but I don't want her to know I'm going since I foresee spending the game with her to be pretty tiring. We might get a snack there but it may be cheaper to eat after, providing the game doesn't run too long...hmmm.

*gasp*

Oh dear...well hopefully he didn't smell too bad and washed that turban of his every once in a while.

And hey, my HP post is almost done~ *dances*
