Thanks, budget is slightly adjustable but personally, I'd rather not push it too far.

I enjoyed Mockingjay but it gave me some Haymitch x Katniss moments and you got more Gale and Effie too. Prim was a little grating but hey, she was that way in the books too but it was nice to see Katniss be a sister to her and have some support for that grade A PTSD. ^^;

Haymitch is a boss, nothing much seems to rattle him at this point but probably once in the arena and being in danger with Katniss, we'll see. And crowds are awful, I feel yo pain baby duck. <3
The first place was super upscale (I guess the realtor finally got the message that we're willing to pay for a bit more space or two parking spots etc) but since our house hasn't sold just yet, we don't have all cash like most offers being made so we'd have to go at least 200k over which my mom is okay with, my dad, not so much. I really liked it but it needed to be tweaked in 1-2 spots which again, we wouldn't have money for that. The second place had less of a nice view but it was still nice, in the same complex. The issue is the balcony being so close to the other neighbor and it's by a busy street. Lastly, we saw a place with a good view, two parking spots and it had gas (most places have ya know, electric stoves) which is a big plus for us since we're not fans of electric. We were about to put an offer in the last one but then someone got back to us that another offer in all cash was made above asking...

So it's pretty much, we either have to shell out more than we should, or wait until we have actual cash on us. It's really annoying since we always find one or two we like but in the end, someone ends up giving a better deal. I can tell my mom is getting impatient because they spent a good half hour planning the layout of the last house. I thought it was "okay" but it would need a lot more work since it was pretty dated but so far, no luck just yet but we move out in about 10 days so something should come along, homes go on the market pretty frequently.

Sorry for the ramble. :/

I really commend people who buy and sell a house will staying sane.

And that's good, Caesar should be a fun role to the play with. His actor is often pretty cool, it's a shame we won't see him in the final film. I'm excited to see how things go for Prim and Haymitch. I'm sure Caesar would love her, I have no doubt she'll also enjoy his charms and see it's not all so bad. :3
Both is fine with me. :3

Hello hello. *wave*
Having felt Haymitch surround her, the mockingjay let out a soft sigh and welcomed night once more. Her dreams were of many things. She saw Finnick but when she tried to talk to him about staying alive, he simply turned into some kind of horse with wings and flew away. Other snippets of the girl's dream included being back home and smelling roses everywhere she went. When she finally did arrive back home, where she and her family had struggled to make a home for years, she found Gale a Prim holding a child and telling Katniss they would go somewhere else since the wars were now fought and won. Katniss felt a flurry of confusion as she woke up but quickly fell back into dreamland. She then dreamed about being in an arena filled with ice and snow and the cold would have reached her, had it not been for Haymitch holding her hand and talking with her as they wandered around, wondering where the other tributes were.

For Gale Hawthorne, his own dreams weren't as scattered and sewn together as Katniss'. He couldn't remember what he saw or did but he remembered that what he felt was either joy or distrust. The latter was surely worrisome but for the man who liked to make plans and see the big picture, he wasn't much for reading too much into dreams. The man kept hold of Prim as the night wore on, his mind swaying from one emotion to the next as various abstract images flashed in his head. Gale often thought very little of his dreams but he noticed that the more he stayed inside the Capitol's grasp, the more peculiar his dreams were becoming. He shifted a little and took a deep breath, unable to figure out what time it was without opening eyes, a task that seemed too daunting at the moment, given how warm and comfortable he felt with Prim.

When Haymitch awoke, the woman beside him was still deep in a dream where she happened to be flying across the world, seeing so many new people and places and yet their faces and other details were a blur to her. Katniss felt the bed shift and she knew deep down that it was morning and which meant it was time to go back to solid ground. She was curled up in bed, her back turned to the wall as she clutched part of her pillow to her chest, enjoying the feel of something close to her. His voice penetrated her dream and she let out a small noise, hoping to get back to her dream, just for a little while longer. Fingers moved through her hair briefly before Haymitch moved once more and she felt his lips against her bare skin. Those tiny sensations would also make her smile and that's exactly what she did as the door close after Haymitch. Katniss squeezed her eyes closed but felt it impossible sleep any longer than she had.

Katniss pushed herself up and looked around, her vision still a little blurry as she adjusted to where she was, having been someplace very magical. She got dressed in some casual wear and headed out to the others, feeling ready to take on the day, even if it meant putting on a dress and some heels and pretending that she wasn't mad at everyone for where she and her loved ones now were. Breakfast went by smoothly enough. Katniss felt well rested enough but she couldn't shake the fact that she was still restless about something. The Game began the next day but that wasn't what was gnawing at her insides, no...it was something else. She wished she knew what was troubling her but she also knew that remaining focused on the unknown was a waste of time, as well as energy. When everyone was seated for breakfast, she made sure she contributed to the conversations as everyone was speaking about the interviews which had just begun, starting with the first district.

Waking for Gale wasn't too hard, nor was he plagued with his own doubt in regards to keeping secrets. His mind could stay focused on the big picture and he knew their alliances with Finnick, Beetee and the others would be very valuable. Gale also knew that keeping Katniss and Haymitch in the dark was also for the best, it was as if Gale could feel Snow's leer deepening as the Games were less than a day away now. It was true that the head Gamemaker was on their side and that they had plenty of sponsors to act as connections for special supplies. Everything was lining up and he knew that the next week would test more than their skills to survive and mental capacity to kill, it would also test their own relationships and he had faith that Katniss and Haymitch would be able to help, rather than get bogged down with hidden truths when they were out of the arena. Gale also knew the other districts were going to play a big role in getting them help. The Games were no longer about just themselves, but the entire world watching them.

By the time the morning meal had been over, Gale had gone off to do some light working out while he noticed Peeta and Prim head off. While he would have liked to be part of their conversation, he didn't want to tip Katniss or Haymitch off to anything, not when they had done so much work up to this point. The swordsman knew Prim had more concerns about the issue of making them public or not if the interview asked for some kind of statement, so he figured he'd like her talk to their mentor and see what he said, since Gale could go either way and knew the risks and rewards that came with being tight lipped or open and blunt about their feelings. Clearly the interviews weren't about the Tributes, as much as they were about making a statement and getting people excited for the Hunger Games, as the more excited they were, the more gifts they could get once things started.

Sitting beside Haymitch, Katniss heard the elevator door [i]woosh[i] open and turned to see the stylists had finally arrived. The tv was on but it was on a low volume since it was just background noise at this point. Still, Katniss had been picking up on what things the Careers were saying, hoping that any insight could provide with a weakness to exploit like family or something but they were careful, easily answering the questions which were probably told to them in advance. Seeing Cinna and the teams refueled the anxiety which had settled down momentarily. Giving the man next to her a look, she got up and knew the next few hours were going to be some kind of Hell. "Wish me luck." She told Haymitch before they were taken away to another part of the penthouse suite. Katniss spent the next couple of hours filling in Cinna in what she and Haymitch had been up to. Cinna didn't censor his surprise and amusement as he began to braid her hair which was wavy and rested casually behind her as he created a tight braid around her head. It would be different than her usual kind of braids but it would still be comfortable and remind people who she was.

Part of Gale was a little saddened by the fact he hadn't been able to see Prim or say anything before the night fell and it would then be their turn to step on stage and dazzle everyone who was watching and waiting for something fantastic to happen. He was able to take a shower before getting ready though. The boys wouldn't take nearly as long as the ladies which meant he had gotten an extra ten minutes in with the weights before he finally admitted that there was nothing else to be done before the Games began. As the hour turned, the terror began to slowly creep up on him. There was nothing else to do, no other hoops to jump through. Now everything was up to Peeta, just as long as he and Prim and the others made sure to meet where they needed to, when they needed to it. Such a delicate plan had plenty of room for disruption or deception. He just hoped the four of them could make it out a alive, at the very least.

Though his worrying was interrupted as he was finally beckoned off to get ready. Snacks were provided as a late lunch while they got read. In the back of his mind, he tried to focus on Prim and what she'd look like. What she said would change what he said but he knew he couldn't worry about it. Prim would make the right choice and he would follow her lead. Whether she mentioned him, kept it vague or did something else altogether, Gale was just happy to have her in his life, as it was uncertain how long air would continue to fill his lungs. As the hours ticked by, Gale was finally done. He had been given a rather casual look compared to Haymitch though he figured their different appearances may have something to do with their experience and what kind of "image" Peeta was going for when it came to consulting the stylists. As he adjusted his heavy brown blazer, he made his way out to the living room to see District 10 wrapping things up. "As long as we don't need to dance, I'll be happy." Gale smiled at Haymitch.

His thoughts of Prim were back as he knew it was only a matter of time before Katniss and Prim made their own appearance so they could all get down to the large hall where the interviews were being given and broadcast. For a moment, he wondered what those back home would think of him. He wasn't one for flair or neat clean wrinkle-free clothes. The Ball had been private and for that he was thankful. But now with everyone showing off, and in front of everyone, Gale began to feel a little uncertain which wasn't like him at all. Before he could voice his displeasure, someone came out and he turned to see Primrose in a very light colored dress. His worries were gone and he found himself grinning ear to ear. Prim looked amazing. "You look even better." Gale told Prim and took her hand, kissing the back of her hand, not caring anymore if Effie wanted to make a fuss. She was too busy gushing over everyone to scold the two lovebirds. His stomach was in knots but he wasn't complaining, not when Prim was so pretty and perfect. "They captured you...very well." Gale tried to speak but found his mouth suddenly dry.

t wasn't much of a shock that Katniss was taking the longest to get ready. She was fighting the issue of the heels. They weren't high but she just hated them. "No one is going to even see my shoes, why can't I wear my boots?" She protested as Cinna just slipped on the gold one inch heels, telling her they could have been higher if he wanted them to be and that the only reason they weren't is because he liked her so much. Katniss got up and steadied herself as she pushed the red dress down. It was meant to make a statement, catch eyes and all that. Cinna said if she spun, there would be the usual flames but that there would be another surprise too, which meant she had to wait until the very end to get up and show off. That was weird for the girl but she shrugged it off and headed for the door. She had on her mockingjay pin and paused before looking back to her faithful friend and stylist. "Thank you." Katniss said. He waved her off and she went out to see how the others had turned out.

When she made her appearance, Gale quickly said she looked amazing though he was also drinking some bottled water, trying to regain the ability to actually form words. Her sister seemed happy too though Haymitch had turned rather quiet as they headed down together. Katniss hoped that was a good thing, as opposed to him just being cold or stuffy when things got serious. The girl's dress made sure to show off her waist and hips and of course her other assets as well. She was just thankful that the dress wasn't as skimpy as the black one she wore at the Ball, but then again, it did lead to some very very good things so Katniss couldn't discount the dress entirely. While Effie and Peeta were taking quickly, Haymitch finally seemed to pull himself together. "Thanks." She smiled to him. Her makeup had been modest, red lipstick, mascara, light fiery eye shadow and that was it. Katniss had to decline to the long nails and other tricks Cinna had up his sleeves. "You look pretty damn good yourself." She smirked. The color went well with his eyes but to her, they didn't need any help shining. "If I wasn't already in love with you-"

She was cut off by Effie calling for everyone's attention.

Gale looked to Prim who was about ready to go on as the last person for the eleventh district was wrapping things up.

"As ready as I'll ever be." He told Prim confidentially with a nod.

It would have been nice to go out with her but he knew she didn't need his support, that she would be incredible and blow everyone out of the water.

"Show them how easy it is to love you, you'll win them over in no time." Gale whispered to her softly.

Katniss didn't mind going last, it would give her time to collect herself.

The interviews were just another silly thing but at least thing time, she knew she didn't have to be afraid. She had Cinna and Peeta and everyone else and she wouldn't anyone down.

"You'll be good Prim, I promise!" Katniss leaned down and hugged her briefly before the cue was given for the girl to come out. As she did, the crowd seemed to get even louder, everyone eager to hear from Primrose Everdeen who was proving to be more than Katniss's little sister, that she was also a solid competitor who could stand on her own.
Really? Damn.

Well if she needs to drop, I need to hear it from her and I'd prefer to hear it sooner, than later so we can adjust now. ^^

But thanks for tipping us off.
Bump.
Have fun, and don't be shy about asking for discounts. They're often not much but hey, discounts are nice. I think many hotels offer them, etc etc.

As long as James' online persona isn't too grating or too much of an ass, after all, I can't give Sasha a reason to stick around with a jerk online when she could easily just find someone else to do the quest with. But I do think we could skip to them in London, after being away for several years. It would be nice for them to know each other in real life before they uncover their online selves also know one another. What if we had them interact a bit online prior to the big quest? Or we could say those who signed up were randomly generated to have their opposite partner be assigned to them. Would that work for you?

Also, I'm assuming James and Sasha would sort of stay together the rest of freshmen year and probably sophomore? Do you think they'd take a break during junior year only to get back together for senior and then break up for Sasha's college overseas?
We're just looking for @Hella Cute to post and we can keep going~
Note:

I am doing this in a small group format in the Advanced section, if you're looking to that instead, please apply over there.

Important Notes:

I am seeking someone who will double with me, that means not to favor a role or gender, but to play them both fairly. The four roles and plot are outlined below but remember I am seeking a partner who can post three to four paragraphs per role which means I'm looking for at least six to eight paragraphs per post, because of the length I will not expect a post every day, or even every other day. I will try and post one to three times a week (usually on the weekends). It's rare I'll get you something during the week, but it can happen. Lastly, I'm looking for someone who can plot with me and suggest ideas and directions. I'm not here to GM a story, I'm here to tell it with someone.

Tone:

This will be a heavy duty slice of life adventure. This means to me, that there will be a huge focus on travel and doing side jobs for money and board. If you get bored by quest stories that are a slow burn, this won't be your kind of thing. This will also have romance if it develops down the line. This will also have some fun/cute moments but not without some serious issues we will need to develop. There will be danger and the stakes will be raised fairly high. I need you to understand this fantasy RP should be balanced in every aspect. There may be mild action scenes but for the most part, I expect a lot of development with detail, world building and discovery.

The Big Picture:

Our heroes have been traveling for a month together. They have seen humble villages that farm and bustling towns filled with polished stone and silver. They have helped an elderly couple mend their home after bandits have attacked, and the heroes have also saved two twins who wound up being the children of a powerful wizard who then bestowed upon the heroes, great items of wonder. The heroes have also endured days without food and nights without shelter from the rain. Throughout their triumphs and suffering, they have stayed together in order to do one thing, and that is to track down the Stone of Selection. In their world, Kings and Queens do not come from blood or birthright or decree, but are picked by a stone that has been with the world's history since creation.

The Stone of Selection is moved from shrine to shrine to ensure it travels the globe constantly, as it needs to feed off the aura of the people and animals living everywhere. The stone is found every fifteen years and new roles are given as it dictates who may be the best to rule the various kingdoms across the land. The heroes have been tasked with tracking down the Stone of Selection as the fifteenth year of ruling had just begun, giving them just under a year to find it and track down its new candidates for councils and throne rooms. The group is brought together from each of the kingdoms in order to bring knowledge and consideration as they traverse the world, following whispers and helping those in need. The stone is difficult to track as it cannot have a pattern or pre-set journey, as if it falls in the wrong hands, it could bring upon chaos, as opposed to righteous order.

These tired travelers are not without their own faults however, as when the sun fades and the moon shows its face, the four change from their normal selves, into different folks with their own goals and needs. This curse has been fallen select people across the world and its these people who are always tasked with the tracking down the stone to begin with, as their bodies and minds are working harder, not wasting a single minute of daylight nor nightlight. By now, our heroes are well aware of their companions' change but as the fifteenth year has begun, the world's cycle between day and night have now begun to behave erratically. A day could last for a mere hour while night could last weeks. Our heroes must hurry to find the stone while managing their own dual identities, hoping their quest can be finished in time.

Our Cast:

The Princess

- By day, she is a dutiful princess who carries herself and her responsibilities with pride. But by night she turns into a skilled assassin who makes money by taking on any job that falls into her lap. The princess isn't fond of her other identity but as it's becoming harder to manage, given the jittery day/night cycle, she's beginning to think it could help them make more money to fund their travels.

The Prince

- No relation to the princess, as he is from a different kingdom. By day, he is a friendly sort who is happy to help most people and see the world around him. Yet by night, he is a he is a wizard. Being that magic is uncommon and often met with fear or confusion, wizards and witches usually prowl around at night, this knight happy to let his magic out without judgement.

The Knight

- This knight is male, and comes from yet another different kingdom than the prince or princess. He is able to give wise consideration to the others in the group by day, but during the moon's view, he's a shapeshifter. He is able to turn into any animal, be it fable or real. His shapeshifting ability can get him into trouble but it can also lend itself well to scouting out landscapes and looking after the others come nightfall.

The Knight

- This knight is female and like the others, is from her own kingdom elsewhere. She is more skilled with hunting and gathering, while the other knight is knee to make plans and give history lessons. Yet by night, she like the other knight, is a shapeshifter.

Final Details:

Magic will only be used by the prince, as the princess is a killer in knives only.

If you're interested, you'll either be the male knight and princess OR the prince and the female knight.

I want us to make small sized character sheets with anime appearances for both day and night. I foresee the ages of our heroes to be in their mid to last twenties, possibly early thirties if you wish.

This won't take place in PMs or anywhere off-site. Should adult content ever happen, it goes to skype or PMs briefly.

Lastly, we will play minor NPCs so also be able to do so, this is an equal story.
Desire and Disclaimer:

The intent of this roleplay is to form a group of 3-4 people (myself included) who are very close-knit (the players as well as the characters). The cap is four, the minimum is three (if only two people show interest, I will double as the remaining two characters). The small group size is meant to keep things moving but to also keep plotting and ideas circulating. Even though I will be marked a GM, I will expect the other two or three players to give equal consideration and effort, as the small size means we can all be leaders, as opposed to followers. If you're not interested in contributing to plots or quests or world building in a fantasy setting, this isn't going to work out for you. I expect players to have a say in what we all do with side quests, as well as our main (overarching) one.

Due to the small size of the group, I am then expecting frequent posts which should be longer than the usual three paragraph mantra around here. We will be playing very minor NPCs as we move throughout the world but overall, we will be focusing on our main group of four companions and as such, development is expected to happen. Development cannot happen if you're posting to get by. If you need us to wait a few days, that's fine but this RP is about discovery, be it in the world or inside the minds and hearts of our characters. I know it's cheesy, but this is a classic quest RP and we've got to have some fun too!

I have a life, I am a full time college student in one History class and two English classes, the best time for me to ever post is Friday through Monday, any other time and I'm usually at school or doing something else. I also have another group but as it's more large, it moves a little slower. I also have 2-3 one on ones but only one moves regularly, the other two are pretty low key. I am laying my cards on the table and I expect that if you join, you will do the same. A RP needs people to communicate in order for it to keep moving and to keep everyone entertained enough to want to post, as opposed to "need" to post. There will be a posting order, depending on how many of us there are. If only two people are interested, a posting order pretty much needs to happen, but if it's a group of four, then it can be tweaked a little.

So those are the terms but if you're looking for quick information...

- Only three to four players may apply.

- You must be active in the OOC and IC, as well as prepared to be a leader in the RP.

- Posts should be somewhere in the four to five paragraph range, at least.

- We all have lives and other things to do but that doesn't mean this should drag its ass along at a snail's pace.

- This is a quest/slice of life/world building/adventure sort of RP, if you don't like traveling and mild action, this isn't for you.

- Lastly, be open to talking and mixing things up, this is our story, not just mine.

Different Directions:

Rather than have players submit their own ideas and characters, I have a jumping off point I plan for us to use. This takes away some of the fluff that OOCs can be bogged down with. If you're not comfortable with the outlined roles, you may need to keep on walking because I'd rather not change something for someone, because then it just opens the floodgates. Other than the outlined traits and skills, the other information is really up to you, though this won't be a first come first serve ordeal. You will still submit me an appearance and writing sample for the role you're applying for. When approved, we'll move our information over to the IC/OOC/CS area. I will give this several days to settle and let people mull over the idea, below outlines our starting point, should you want to apply:

Now I've left out one important bit of information and that is that these heroes, while noble and trustworthy, have different personalities when it comes to the dawn and dusk of the world. These heroes take on very different tones when night falls. This plight befalls only certain people in the world, and these people are thought to be the only ones to find the Stone of Selection, as their minds are able to work twice as hard, compared to the typical merchant or maid. These people remain themselves to the core when the sun falls and the moon rises, but a slightly more dominant darkness comes out. Normally it is easier to control but the world's moon and sun cycles fluctuate just as it's time to find the stone, making it harder (or easier) for the chosen group to do their duty. Days could last for hundreds of hours but then nights could pass in the blink of an eye, it's up to the heroes to track down the stone will keeping their own dual selves in check.

Now the heroes are as follows...

Yet by night, he is a shapeshifter. He is able to turn into any animal, be it fable or real. His shapeshifting ability can get him into trouble but it can also lend itself well to scouting out landscapes and looking after the others come nightfall.

The Knight

- This knight is male, and comes from yet another different kingdom than the prince or princess. He is able to give wise consideration to the others in the group by day, but during the moon's view, he is a wizard. Being that magic is uncommon and often met with fear or confusion, wizards and witches usually prowl around at night, this knight happy to let his magic out without judgement.

The Knight

- This knight is female and like the others, is from her own kingdom elsewhere. She is more skilled with hunting and gathering, while the other knight is knee to make plans and give history lessons. Yet by night, she like the prince, is a shapeshifter but her forms are limited to the real, as opposed to the mythical.

Decide and Direct:

So the cards are on the table, it's a lot to take in.

You've got a group of strangers who by now, should be friends. They're looking for a stone that picks out who will soon be a ruler. They are aware of each other's nightly change though it is up to the player, if the characters band together at night or break up into pairs, either way they should be safe though.

And then the day/night cycle is unpredictable which also adds to the danger. Not to mention, there are surely other powerful groups after the heroes, as well as the Stone of Selection.

If you're interested, raise a hand, ask questions, etc. An OOC can be made fairly quickly, as I'm not going to bother with naming locations or anything like that, after all we're creating this together. The appearance needs to be anime and it needs to be a good quality picture that should highlight the character's day-time appearance. When night falls, they will also change appearances so keep that in mind when you're hunting for pictures too. If you're taking a shapeshifter, pick a form they commonly take, as opposed to one they rarely take (ex: often being a dragon or a wolf would say, get them hunted, kind of stupid on their part). Again, if only two others are interested, I may omit a role are take it on with my other one. Right now I am not claiming one outright but I will say I am eyeing the princess or the male knight.
