Sakura did find them a challenge back in the forst during the exams (Shikamaru had to convince Ino to save Sakura <3). I think since she's not as tired now, it might not be such a one sided fight if there's 1-2 Sound Nin? I don't see her pulling a victory but I don't see them steam rolling her either. I'd say one fleeing and one trying to trap or kidnap her would be likely since it could give them some kind of tool to use against Kakashi? The Sound Nin would be low level Jounin I'm guessing, so a good challenge but I'd also assume they'd underestimate Sakura and not take her that seriously.
I assume the first night will be spent camping in the woods, of the side from the road. They'd be training, doing basic work for now. Are you thinking the end of the next day, they'd arrive in Tanzaku and start gathering information that night? Be it canvasing the streets, looking where kids may be, talking to those who lost their child? Pakkun would be needed, maybe once a mother gives him something to smell? I do like the idea of Sakura running into a Sound Nin first and holding him off or trying to get info out of him?
I know, I'm not a fan of her but if we do get to re-do things, I might as well polish her up. ^^;

Yeah, they were in different gangs. I think Kuwabara's friends saw Kuwabara as more of the softie while they knew Yusuke was a bit more hardcore with the fighting, where as they already knew about Kuwabara's cat and such. I do like the idea of them being rivals/friends but at the same time, it will need to depend how we assume the "afterlife" bit was handled.

And I have studied Japanese (took 5 years) though they never touched too much on school systems but you can learn a lot from watching movies or anime, in terms of their classes and workload there. I would say summer may have a longer break but I know it's not nearly like the US in which they get like 2-3 months or something.

In terms of Yusuke coming back, that is the real pickle here. We could have his mother do it, if he's older and helping out more, their relationship can be rocky still, but maybe have more points of stability? We do need to give Yusuke someone on the outside, if it's not Keiko (unless they're reconnecting after years of not being close) then it has to be someone else. I doubt Kuwabara would even give the dream a second thought. We could also give Yusuke another way out...he's given the egg, that will hatch Puu later...ya know we could do a cop out way (since it doesn't really matter how he got back) and assume his badboy nature has resulted in some "fangirls" or someone into the danger (either to piss off her parents or something) and that could be who he uses to kiss him?
I could do Dragon Age or Doctor Who, I favor the use of canons over OCs but I may be open to including them, providing the plot and characters seem to fit the setting. There's nothing more annoying than forcing OCs to fit where they don't belong. I'm an advanced writer, I play either gender and enjoy doubling (equal writing for all both roles). I do have some conditions for the fandoms I listed...

With Doctor Who, I really dislike Clara and River and prefer not to have them involved at all.

And with Dragon Age, I'm only halfway through Origins but I've met all companions, except the male dwarf the Grey Warden recruits in Orzammar. Here, I wouldn't mind more OCs or all OCs, granted their origins aren't too cliche or copy the game.
Agreed, glad to see posts filtering in. :3

It feels good for everyone I'm sure~
I'll work on a post now, I don't have much else to do. Should I take us to the road as they walk and talk?
It does sound like something I'd find around me. ^^; I hope it's something you can get into though, maybe you can find an easier way to get it?

They'll make it work, never really ones to make a fuss about what others think. Peeta will still have to try hard to make sure people/supporters don't balk too much at it. Oh well, fuck em~

I'm really sorry you're not feeling well. Your comfort and health is more important, I'm here if you wanna talk or text, I thought you might be dealing with the heat over there. I hope the painkillers are helping at least. *hugs* If there's anything I can do, let me know! You're not a bad partner at all, I understand and I know you would too if it was me. <3

And I did get to whip up your pasta and loved it, I should have added more spices but overall, it was pretty easy to make and we didn't have any leftovers that night cause we ended up eating it all XD
Congrats, hope that helps you somewhat. ^^;
I've thought about it and that I could go either way since I'll be able to develop her better. What do you think?

I'm fine with Yusuke and Botan handling the first case for the most part. And I do consider Kuwabara and Yusuke rivals but I also consider them friends, considering how much Yusuke helped Kuwabara with his test, when he was still dead. They still get to insult each other though I see it more as something between friends, as opposed to real rivals. Hiei and Yusuke, seem more like true rivals, at least power wise. But I'm fine with them starting off with some misunderstood animosity though I'd like to explain it a bit since the context prior to the series, to me felt unclear. I know Yusuke and Kuwabara were bullies of sorts, or thought as such but I never did understand why they were so against one another. Did you know? And I would say it's logical to assume Keiko and Yusuke did grow apart since the high school years would the ones where you branch out, meet new people, discover what you like and what you might want to do after high school.

Middle/winter sounds fine to me. I think most schools are "year round" in Japan so they have a lot of breaks but nothing as extended as America's summer vacation. Though I do think they would have maybe 1-2 weeks off for the new year and other holidays so that would give them some good time to either finish the case or subdue it. We could start with a few days before the break with Botan seeking Yusuke out at school so we're not having a case starting "right" when he's off of school, but leading into it?
Part of her had worried that her honesty hadn't done much good in order to resolve Lady Tsunade's worries but soon it became clear that the more pressing matter was something else. She felt her teacher place a hand upon her shoulder and step closer to the desk, insisting they be sent. Another exchange was noted between the two adults about the recent events, as well as the risks. Sakura knew the risks, everyone did. She wasn't a child, she had seen suffering and felt it herself. She wasn't going to turn a blind eye if people were in danger who she could help. And after hearing more about this ninja in question, Sakura even more determined to do something about him. When Lady Tsunade then brought up Naruto and looked to Sakura, Sakura had to resist the strong urge to look away.

The past couldn't painful if you put enough distance between yourself.

Sakura felt her teacher squeeze her shoulder a little and she forced herself back to the present.

"Thank you." She said before she headed out with Kakashi, trying to wrap her head around everything. It was an honor to be considered and even though she was only going because of the lack of aid in Konoha and Kakashi's persistence, she was still thankful for the chance, no matter the risk. She then began to think more about what Tsunade had been saying and she wondered if she doubting Kakashi's judgement because of the reports made when they went to the Land of Waves. That had been a tough mission for Team 7 but they did make it through together. From then on, they were a better team and their adventures began to bring them closer. Those shiny memories were dim now, as she remembered the Chunin Exams and how that changed things with Sasuke, and how cruel life could be.

By the time Kakashi went back to speaking, it took her a while to notice what exactly he was saying to her. "Sure." Was all she said as they headed for her house. Her mother was home but she wasn't sure about her father. When they arrived, Sakura broke the silence, knowing they both had things that were weighing heavily on their minds. "Why don't you come inside? My mother always had such nice things to say about you. I tell her, it's because she's not the one training all day." She joked before letting him inside first. She walked in after him and closed the door. "Mom? Mom?" She called out and motioned for the man to sit on the couch if he liked. "I'll be right back." She said and jogged up the stairs to pack and to see where her mother was.

If her mother wasn't home, that would be for the best since she didn't want her mother embarrassing her. They needed to leave soon, not get bogged down by gossip and stories. She found her mother in her room, working on some stitching, new clothes for her, given she was growing out of her current ones. "Mom, Kakashi is here. I got a mission, an A-Rank. We need to leave soon so I'm gonna go pack. Please don't embarrass me." She pleaded before heading back into her room. She had a pack mostly packed but she needed to add some things. Her mother meanwhile, headed down to offer their guest some tea. While she'd love to dig out the album, she knew such a mission was an honor and that now was not the time for idle conversations.

Five minutes later, Sakura was heading down the stairs. Much to her relief, her mother wasn't doing anything questionable. Sakura had double checked her bag to make sure she had medical supplies, weapons, some food and clothes. "Let's go." She smiled to Kakashi and went over to hug her mother tightly. Her mother wished her good luck and said she knew she'd do Konoha proud. Sakura let go and headed to where Kakashi was, now by the door. She pulled on her tan colored backpack over her shoulders and they headed out the door. Even though she wasn't sure what her mother had said to Kakashi, she knew it wasn't the time to ask about the five minutes of danger. "It should only take about two days to get to Tanzaku Town right? I hope nothing happens to the children between now and then." She could only imagine what those kids were being forced to do. Many of her ideas were dismal and degrading. "Do we have a list of those who are missing or maybe where Taro was last seen?" It would be hard to hide those were kidnapped so there had to be a large base where he was laying low.

There was also the matter of feeding and transport.

She also wondered if Taro had buyers or if he was using the kids for something else.

In her mind, they had to be young, unable to defend themselves and that made her sick.

Preying on the weak was something she could never condone or let someone get away with, not with her own history.
