Man, I had a crazy weekend. It's good to be back online though. :3

I think either way could work out well for us. I think we could have the group wait to attack and make their move come sunrise which may give Prim and Gale a very small window to get out without being seen/triggering traps. But as you suggested they could have to leave during the night, I think either way, there could be a lot of tension and danger to play with. If they did leave during the night, would they relocate in the ruins or want to go out into the woods/field area? If they do leave in the middle of the night and don't deal with traps and manage to avoid the group, we could easily introduce some of the icky bugs and stuff XD
Thanks for the heads up, I hope things aren't too rocky for you when that happens.

I'm hoping Neo and Vie can post within the next couple days which would at least give us a round to work on before I go and maybe when I get back, it'll be done.

Summary: Set in the near year of 2022, our technology has drastically changed. Now no one gets by without a cell phone. It is their link to everything in their life. Everything is digital and writing by hand has been outdated. Everyone not only has a cell phone, but it's also linked to world wide wi-fi. People use their cell phones to pick outfits, purchase clothes, food, and the like. And with a touch of a button, they have anything they want. They also use their cell phones to communicate with friends, listen to music and find an escape. Those are things we're familiar with right now in 2015. The big difference between now and then is that without a cell phone, a person will die.

Think of the cell phone as a containment for your soul. It's charged by your own life force.

Another thing that is different about the cell phones of 2022 is that they play music but this music is different, it can take people into a digital realm called the DgtWld. (Short for Digital World) You can travel across the world and go shopping, or be taken to a sunset overlooking the Caribbean. The way this is done, is by extracting your mental awareness and relocating it elsewhere while still keeping your body bound to your current relation. Music plays a big part in everyone's life and almost everyone is immersed in it when not working or going to school.

Now with such technological advances, hackers have more opportunities to attack people aince everyone on one massive network. Because of this, the government has passed a secret underground project and has developed an application downloadable to certain people. This application allows the user to go completely into the DgtWld: mind, body and soul. These people are called Correctors who fend off the hackers and viruses that plague the DgtWld and threaten people's lives and well being. Correctors are hand selected by the government in their region, of course each country has only a select amount of Correctors who all fight for one cause and work together when necessary. The Gvn (Government) keeps everything tightly woven together so the public don't worry, so the Correctors are of course kept secret and only exist online.

While Correctors are hired because of their morals, they are also hired because of their lack of coding and computer knowledge. If the Gvn hired people who could do their own work on the side, it would only create more problems. Hackers on the other hand, are very skilled in making viruses and other malicious digital entities. Hackers are in it for themselves, they go after people for their money, health and even lives. Many hackers keep tabs on Correctors and work together to make sure the pesky Gvn watchdogs stay out of their affairs. And yet another strain of hackers have emerged known as New Age Hackers. These computer savvy people are on a mission to bring society back from the future and remind it of the past.

After Unification Day in 2015, the world has begin a bright new era of sleek harmony. Buildings are built in old national parks and other natural habitats. The homeless need places to live so of course places like China, Egypt, Africa and America were targeted and landmarks were destroyed to make room for companies, apartments, schools and other necessary structures to ensure that humanity's focus was on moving forward for the future. While this was happening, certain people took it upon themselves to buy up land in order to conserve the beauty and richness of the planet while everyone else excitedly looked forward to the innovation of MChips and other scientific advances.

Taking place in London, our story will depict the lives of NHax who have formed their own underground group of New Age Hackers who are determined to fight against both hackers and correctors alike to prove to them that they're on the wrong side, that the world wide Gvn that supposedly saved the world from itself, is really evil and selfish and plans to profit from the rapid urbanization it's worked hard to propel. Our characters will be people who can physically entered the DgtWld (unlike normal people and Correctors) with the help of their own technology they've made. Our characters will be active online as well as offline with protests and sneaky attacks to infiltrate the LND Gvn which has been helped by Japan and America, ever since Unification Day back in 2015, when behind the scenes genocide and buyouts began.

RP Timeline:

2015 - Japanese scientists unveil a new model of cell phones which link to the user's life force via microchip implanted in the back of their neck. This begins the boom in new cell phone design and soon a world wide wi-fi network is put in place.

2016 - Over 50% of the entire population now are using the new cell phone models which are very affordable. New applications are being released and sold through Apple and other major companies around the world. The general public is beginning to move over to a sleeker, more timely lifestyle of instant gratification.

2017 - The US and the Japanese Governments are the first to pass a secret bill that would allow the country to hire select people to help defend people from the onslaught of recent cyber crimes. Now 75% of the population is linked to the global network which is now giving people in rural areas new job opportunities.

2018 - Now everyone in the world is linked to the DgtWld and every major country is using secret Correctors to help protect their citizens.

2020 - Worldwide utopia seemed to have been reached. Life now centers around one's cell phone and music and most jobs cater to computers and security even though just years ago the world was in chaos with war and economic strife. With the entire world prospering, there is no little to no reported crime, hunger and famine are abolished and everyone seems happy with the progress made with technology for science and medicine.

2022 - Currently there are no signs of unrest, however in the DgtWld, a new era of terrorism is starting to rage against the Correctors and their scrutiny.

RP Starting Point and Closing Comments:

If you are interested, you are making a commitment to being active and communicative in the OOC, not just the IC.

If you'd like a bit more information, you can look at the general interest check I made where I decided to go through with this, which is located: [url=roleplayerguild.com/topics/83912-three..

I am seeking a co-GM, though they don't have to have been with the old crew, they just need to be able to talk offline through Facebook, G+ or possibly Twitter if need be. A co-GM will have a bit more freedom when they make their character, to give some kind of thanks for keeping things in order, should I become busy or go MIA due to school.

We will start with our characters already knowing one another, as well as preparing for a mission to scope out the newest addition to the London Headquarters where our NHax know that Correctors report to. There, NHax hope to find new information on the mysterious events that happened back in 2015. Our characters will need to have a thirst for justice, protecting nature, and for doing whatever it takes to prove to people that being tricked into comfort, is no way to live. I am not looking for paranoid techie loners with parental issues and other crap. Our characters will be in their mid 20s to 30s, so they should have a good grasp on life with your typical career or family. These aren't starry eyed teens who probably don't remember life before Unification Day, these are people with goals and passion and skills to see things through until the end.

If you're interested, let me know here and we can discuss possible character ideas, expectations and other stuff.
Will do. I will be busy tomorrow most of the day so there better be a post when I get online Sunday. XD

As a heads up guys, I will be away in Ireland from Aug 15-25 or so, I won't be able to check from my phone nor do I want to bother bringing and worrying, about my laptop or tablet. I hope by then we'll have a round or two ahead of us but I'm relying on Vietmyke to keep you guys going so I don't come back and see us stalling again. ^^;
Initially, Bolin had considered Mako more of the police chief type but he didn't mind playing into the warm fuzzy fantasy now that Korra and Mako had brought it up. When they parted ways, he waved to Korra and said he'd see her back at the island for dinner. He had figured by then, she might be more willing to show her face around Tenzin. For now though, Bolin shifted his attention to police business, as there was always something that needed their attention around headquarters.

Lin Beifong was well aware of how hard it could be to own up to mistakes which is why she knew not to always yell at people and instead, let them have some kind of positive reinforcement so when they did make a mistake, they would be more inclined to admit it than to lie about it. As hard as she was on those who worked under her, she knew ruling with an iron fist wasn't the way to go all the time. Tenzin had moved over to her and put his hands on her shoulders, a thinly veiled attempt to soothe her though he knew her moods better than anyone else. She slowly looked to Tenzin, pressing her lips tightly together, though not due to annoyance but to amusement. She was already planning on forgiving Korra but Tenzin's additional assistance only made the woman want to have some fun, in her own way. "Oh yes, Tenzin I remember our many mischief filled nights very well." She said, tone dripping in amused sarcasm. "My mind isn't failing me." She looked to Korra now. "You shouldn't be out at night, even though Amon is no longer a threat, you still need to exercise caution." Lin wouldn't elaborate further until more proof was in her possession so for now she carried on, "You're forgiven Avatar Korra, we only want you kept safe."

With that out of the way, Lin was hoping to get back to her day. Though it was early in the morning, she had a lot to do. There were leads to follow up on and she needed to ensure that information regarding the mysterious illness was kept under lock and key. "Now if you two will excuse me, I have actual work to get done." She said and reached around to remove Tenzin's hands from her. All of the reminiscing was making her feel rather raw and wounded and she'd rather not fall into a trap of depression. She had other men in her life though, ones she could go out drinking who had also picked a career over a family. Nothing was too personal with any of them but it was nice to be able to blow off steam and not have to worry about idle conversation after a long shift at the station. If she wasn't going to canvas the city tonight with Tenzin, she would have pulled one of her comrades aside to plan to meet after work because she already needed a drink. "Thank you for stopping by Tenzin." She mentioned as he and Korra left her office.

The rest of the day went by fine, with her gathering information on the others who were falling ill just as Pema was.

When the sun had just finished setting, she was getting ready to go when Tenzin showed up again. She finished packing up and picked up her black leather and metal messenger bag which Katara had gotten her when she became Police Chief ages ago. Lin was ready to fill Tenzin in the information she had been busy gathering since he had left. It wasn't until the pair had exited the station and had put a few blocks between them before she pulled out the files she had complied which listed the other victims who were all benders of some element. "I don't understand why Pema is so sick, I hate to consider this but...her illness could be an accident." She said as they slowed their pace down so Tenzin could look over those who were sick. Two earth benders, three fire benders and two water benders, all of different genders and ages and backgrounds. "The only reason could have to do with her connection to you and the air benders." She finally stopped and looked to him, not wanting to give him such a bleak opinion but she had always been candid regarding her suspicions. After she took the files back from him, she put them back away, not wanting any of the public to panic over the issue until more information was under their belt.

"It doesn't seem infectious so that leads me to think that these attacks are the work of someone with some kind of agenda." Lin went back to walking with Tenzin by her side, flashbacks of their youth didn't cloud her vision thankfully but they did linger around the edges of her eyes, threatening to remind her of what once was, and what wasn't. "Because we can't find a real connection yet, there's no way we can predict where the next attack will happen. Three of the victims have already died...and based on interviews I've conducted, their bending seemed to be drained from their bodies which left them without the ability as they fell ill. I know this sounds like the work of Amon's supporters but this technology and skill is not something they could have come up with. Amon's supporters were glorified protesters and wannabe losers, whoever is behind this is more skilled and planning something more questionable." She said. The rest of the night was spent checking out the homes of those attacked. They spoke to the family and friends in the area of the attacks. It was around eight thirty when they decided to call it a night, as Tenzin needed to go back to Pema.

As much as Lin wanted to keep Tenzin longer, she knew she couldn't.

His place was by his wife's side, who surely had very little time left.

"Let me buy us some dinner at least." She said as she motioned him over to a food stand which was selling skewered meat and vegetables. She bought a pork one for herself, and a squash and carrot one for Tenzin. Walking back over to him, she handed him his and frowned. "It isn't really dinner, I know..." It sort of was for her, when she spent all night roaming the streets, she often relied on the fast food of the city to keep her going. Part of her wondered if she was getting too close to Tenzin again. The more she did, the more it hurt. But she also had grown oddly fond of his children, despite their mother. And deep down, Lin did want to find a way to help the woman but she also knew it wasn't very likely, not at the rate the others were dying. If she couldn't help Pema now, she at least would vow to find the woman, and the family, justice. Lin knew this was hard on her old friend and she wished she could be more emotionally supportive. She thanked her mother for those valuable life lessons of sincerity and kindness. "I don't mind checking up on your family." She suddenly said, starting the conversation they had begn back in her office that morning. "They're the closest thing to a family I have...with my sister in Zaofu and my mother hiding from everyone...I'm glad I at least have you and yours." She said as she began eat.

When the car came to a stop, Asami was helped outside and taken down into a compound which was located under a series of mountains behind Republic City. Already red flags were going off but Asami kept her cool and continued to follow the man leading her down a long hallway. Asami made notes of where she was and what things could be used a weapons, just in case. Unlike Mako or even Jinora, Asami felt absolutely useless in such vulnerable situations. A knot tightened in her chest and she quickly thought of Mako and how worried he might be if she just vanished without a trace. She also wondered if these people had been the ones to capture her father. The more Asami thought about it, the more uneasy she felt. By the time the pair made it to the end of the dark hallway, the woman had already accepted her fate and was ready to fight anyone she needed to, in order to escape with her life. The door opened and Asami tensed and found herself reaching out to punch whoever was behind the door. "Ow!" A woman's voice spoke out and Asami opened her eyes, and saw a woman with black hair looking at her and trying to pry Asami's hand off of her face.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." Asami's face turned red and the woman gave her a timid smile before gesturing for Asami to step inside. Once Asami did, the large metal door behind her closed and she found herself in a cozy room decorated with velvet, wood and slate. There were two other doors, as well as a loft above them with two beds. "You must be Xana. I'm Asami, it's good to finally meet you face to face, I didn't mean to hit your face..." She rubbed her arm sheepishly. So far, she had been working at her own company's compound and any interaction with Xano and Xana had been done over the phone or by their other associates. Asami was nervous, these people were willing to help her and she would be happy to make things work. Xana gestured for them to sit down at the black wooden table which had round backless velvet chairs. Once they sat down, one of the other doors opens and revealed a similar looking man with the same long black sleek hair.

"Asami Sato, we finally meet. There is much to discuss. My name is Xano and you've met my sister, she isn't very talkative so I hope you forgive her." He said and shook Asami's hand before he sat down at the table. "We are so excited to be working with you and your company. The technological advances we can make together could be astounding. We have been working on an experiment that we'd love to show you, it's very exciting and there's no one we could think of that could use it to its truest potential." Xano said and got up and an assistant walked over and opened a box with a needle. "This is an injection that will unlock your fire bending."

"Fire bending? I'm not a fire bender..." Asami frowned.

"We looked into your lineage and your mother was a fire bender. It's very possible that you just haven't been able to tap into it yet. We want to help you." He smiled and took out the sleek object filled with orange liquid. "We would like to inject you with this and help you unlock your buried abilities, consider it our thanks for us being able to form a union and work together." He stepped back and moved behind Asami and handed her the injection to look at. Asami took it and looked at it, not too convinced that this was a good idea. The man could sense her hesitation. "Your friends can bend, can do extraordinary things...leaving you on the sidelines for too long hmm? You're not just a clever woman, Asami, you're also a strong one. Prove the world wrong and show them your strength that you'll use to restore your family's name. Show them that fire buried deep inside you." Xano whispered and put a hand on her shoulder. "Let us show you a bright future, Asami. What do you say?"

Her eyes looked at the sleek thin cylinder and she wasn't sure what she was feeling. Asami felt nerves, excitement and dread. Could she really be a bender, a fire bender no less? Her father's animosity towards them only made her more confused and she wondered if her mother's death had been aginst a fellow friend, a fellow fire bender. Maybe his vision of his wife had been sullied and he never wanted to think of her as a fire bender, but a victim of one? "I'll...I'll do it." If she was a bender and hadn't shown any signs, maybe this extra push was what she needed all along. Asami would kick herself if she missed such an opportunity. Xano took the injection from her and took hold of her hand. He then guided her to a couch behind them and Xana helped roll up Asami's sleeve as she sat by the CEO. Xano reached down and injected her with the serum and for the next three hours, Asami struggled to remain conscious. All while she struggled to adjust and accept the medicine, Xana held her hand and stroked her hair, though nothing was uttered from the water bender's lips.

When Asami finally calmed down, the shaking and headache having finally subsided, it was decided that Xano would train Asami to do some basic bending. Asami was eager to get to work and by the time they took a break, it was evening. Asami checked the time and knew Mako would have to be back by now, or soon. She told the siblings she needed to go back home and they complied. She gave a wave to the reserved woman before Xano hugged her and congratulated her on her progress. Finally, he assured her they'd meet to do more training in the next day or two, but to call if the company or her, needed immediate attention, and for now to take things easy to be safe. The same car that picked her up in the morning, had dropped her off and she saw no sign of Mako outside, so she hoped he hadn't worried about her. After thanking the driver, she jogged up to the door and let herself in. She was too excited to stand still and went to find Mako. "Mako! I have something amazing to show to you!" She called out and finally found where he was. Unable to contain her delight, she ran over and hugged him tightly, finally feeling like she was actually whole, like she had a real connection to her mother again. "Come on, come on." Asami grabbed his hand and dragged him outside to the front yard.

"Okay now stand back." She laughed softly and waved her hands at him.

"Are you watching?" She asked him, feeling the way a child was when they wanted to show someone a simple magic trick they had painstakingly learned. Of course there had been plenty of pain for Asami today but after just a few hours, she had the basics down and she didn't regret her decision one bit. Now she wanted to share her new talent with Mako. The woman went into her fighting stance and threw a punch with her right hand and then her left, which emitted a long burst of feathery flames. Then Asami unclenched her left fist and a flame formed from her palm and she used her fingers to form the flame into a shape of a ring, then a heart and finally into an even higher and hotter flame. Suddenly it vanished and she turned to Mako. It wasn't much but considered she had just learned to fire bend, it was more than enough to her. "You'll have to teach me some of your smooth moves, Mako." She laughed. She would have asked Korra but she wasn't sure if Korra could rightly bend fire at the moment, and she didn't want to start a fight because of something petty like bending. Her heart was racing and she couldn't be happier. "We should go out and celebrate and go grocery shopping after." She then stopped herself. "I'm sorry...I didn't even ask how your day went at the station." She felt a little silly now and a little selfish.

After work, Bolin headed back toward the pier and took a ferry back toward the island.

He was pretty hungry but hoping to help around the house as needed. He felt bad for Tenzin and Pema and wanted to do whatever he could to help. Once he got up to the family's estate, he found out Tenzin was out for the night which was a little weird. He remembered what Korra had mentioned to him though he didn't want to get involved so he decided to see if he was needed to make dinner. He found Jinora trying to cook in the kitchen with Korra. Bolin washed up and joined them. "Ya know it's a guy's dream to come home to two pretty ladies." He grinned and looked at the soup and bread they were making. Just then, Ikki and Meelo ran in and he turned around. "I'm sorry, three pretty ladies." He laughed a little as he got Meelo to set the table. "So what were you up to today?" He asked Korra as he made a bowl of food to take to the lady of the house. "Meelo, stop trying to stick the spoon up your nose, trust me I've tried and it does not fit." For now, he figured he and Korra had to make sure things went alright while Tenzin was off doing whatever. Bolin was sure he needed his own space too, that as strong as the air bending master was, he needed support too.
Oh splendid, that seems to the be the most promising one!
Although his tone was gentle, Sakura didn't take his comment that lightly. She didn't want to seem like she didn't agree with what he was doing, nor did she want seem ungrateful but still, she didn't enjoy the comment and decided to just hold her tongue. There was a shift in tone as he got his own pack on and motioned for her to follow along. For a moment she was rather ticked off at him but she was sure, he was mad too, though right now, she couldn't easily step back and figure out why a comment about wanting to hone her other areas, could cause some sort of disagreement between them, even an unspoken on. Sakura breathed in slowly and decided to not bring it up, not wanting to appear as though she were looking a gift horse in the mouth. She was glad to have Kakashi Sensei teaching her and she knew he had ever right to turn her away and yet here they were; together on a tough mission trying to adjust to one another's needs and desires.

For about ten minutes, they walked through the greenery while Sakura tried to figure out how to get herself out of this sudden mess. She honestly didn't mean to offend him if she had. But she knew right now, certain personal qualms weren't easily discussed, even between a teacher and his student. Looking off, she tried to refocus her determination though it was difficult to do, given the mood around her. She began to wonder what Sasuke and Naruto were doing and what sort of things were being taught to them and if they ever had any conflicts with their teachers. Before she could soak too long in a pool of contemplation, they had arrived at their destination. She caught his eye for a moment and then nodded to the lake itself. He had already set his pack aside and so she did the same, assuming she didn't need anything from it for their next step in whatever it was, he wanted her to master. She trusted his judgement, even if he may not believe that at the moment.

She walked out along towards the center of the lake and Kakashi was soon behind her, this time with his Sharingan revealed.

There had only been one time, possibly two, where she had witnessed him use his Sharingan.

Was now the time?

He soon proposed a question to her and she was sure the answer went without saying. It seemed Kakashi felt the same way too. In her mind though, his weakness would clearly be where he had gotten wet. His hand then went to her shoulder briefly, to signal her to stop, which she did and looked back to him. He then formed the same hand for the jutsu she had been starting to work on. He then told her to do as he was, and so she did. SHe used her right hand to form the same gesture. Looking down at the small trickle of water collecting, she began to use her chakra to do the same as her counterpart. A small orb of water eventually formed where the chakra was. It had taken considerable concentration but she did manage it without taking an embarrassing amount of time. When she had done as he asked her to do, he then continued with the demonstration. Kakashi took aim at the trees on the other side of the expanse of water and then fired off his round. It flew across and connected with the tree of his choosing before breaking through to the one behind it, only to leave a dent if one could squint and see so far. "Wow." It was very impressive and she was already eager to begin working on it.

More history of the technique was presented to her and she turned to listen, rather interested in hearing more about such a simple but strangely beautiful jutsu. He told her how the creators of it had been wiped out. That was very unfortunate but she wanted to do them justice by ensuring the jutsu wasn't lost to time. "I'll honor those who once used it." Sakura told him quietly. It was hard to think think that in so many years from now, she would be gone too, all of her knowledge lost to the world. It made her want to give a real tangible contribution to the world around, rather than just exist without giving anything back at all. Kakashi then softened his expression and mentioned how it was best used for assassinations, which she could understand. She wondered if some ANBU nin had used it decades ago. He continued and expressed a great concern and cautionary warning if she were to want to use in battle. It seemed so easy but she knew the simple jutsu could be done importantly, even with years of experience. Accidents happened in battle and those with great focus could falter.

"I understand. I won't be irrational with it." She tried to assure him as he lowered his arm and began to work on something else now. The man ended up conjuring up two water clones of himself and she wondered if she had to hit them before she worked on a target further away. She wasn't sure if he wanted her to go back to using the Water Dragon Jutsu or if he wanted her to try her hand, or finger as it were, at the Water Gun Jutsu. Sakura decided that either of the skills would need more work so she raised her arm to use the energy and water she had been told to collect just as Kakashi had done minutes ago. Behind her, the man now stood to surely observe her own actions. Sakura closed her eyes for a moment and took everything she had within her and channeled it into her right pointer fingertip. Exhaling, she let her shot go off and hit the tree Kakashi had though it had just grazed the left of it, as opposed to above where his hole was, where she had actually aimed.

Her green eyes squinted, for a moment not even sure if she had hit the damn tree. She knew not to get annoyed with herself again. As simple as it seemed, she knew it was tricky to master. And on top of that, she wasn't used to expelling energy and water in a contained manner away from her. The recoil was mild but still something to also adjust to. "So...the Hozuki Clan is famous for this technique," She commented as she raised her arm back up, using her left hand to hold onto her wrist to give her better stability this time around. "does that mean that they were hired for assassinations because of the stealth and speed of this attack?" She asked him. Him mentioned they invented it had planted a seed of interest in her head. She wondered if she'd ever be able to build upon it the same way Kakashi had done. "Is there any other similar attack, even non-water relater?" She asked, curious as to anything related to the long range burst of chakra paired with an element. "I think using fire would get tricky but perhaps a rock or something solid..." She stopped her vocal musings, sure they were useless at the moment.

"Here it goes." Sakura said as she finished gathering the chakra along with the water as she had been speaking. She took aim once more and fired it again. The shot was visibly shaky but it made more of an impact on the tree than her first attempt. This second, Sakura managed to hit above where Kakashi had, though her burst of water hadn't gone through like his. Sakura made a slight face but gave herself a shrug, seeing it as progress at least. "Do you think it would be possible for someone to use both water and say...ice or something along with the Water Gun?" She asked him, already getting a picture in her head of the jutsu being able to fire off liquid as well as a solid, which could make it pretty powerful as well as more versatile when it came to the need of the one firing it. Of course just hearing, it sounded impossible, or at the very least difficult beyond her years. Regardless of what he thought though, Sakura had already latched onto the idea of taking something and making it her own, to sort of pay homage to those no longer able to enjoy the world she was living, despite its flaws.

"If I can do something more with it someday, I'd love to show you. It's the closest to the Hozuki Clan I can get." She smiled a little and started to go back to getting ready for her next shot. Regardless of the Hozuki Clan's positive or negative impact, Sakura respected the history of shinobi who contributed by giving the world new jutsu, tactics or techniques. It was only right.
At least you're working and making cash. >__<

But urgh, school doesn't start for a month for me and I have a night class which puts me in really late coming off the train. Hopefully you'llbe close to your campus and figuring out times to post will be less of a bitch haha.
I got something up, I hope it's alright. I think it could be fun to have some traps triggered for Prim and Gale, maybe tonight or when they try to leave come morning? I'm sure the game makers could make some appear even though she checked the area. Evil fuckers ya know?
Haymitch's comment about everything already being ruined made her raise a brow slightly.

It was ruined but in her mind, things could always get worse. Being in a world with good fortune all around them, was just s demented fairy tale to Katniss. Even so, she hoped Haymitch had understood what she was struggling to put into words, even more so when those of Panem could be watching but she told herself this wasn't interesting enough to bother broadcasting. He pulled her closer and that gave her assurance that he did understand. His words were another layer of reassurance and she knew that even though the past year felt like it had been a giant mistake, when she was with Haymitch, it felt more right.

He then mentioned they could go for the parameter of the arena. That was a good idea but it would take a lot more time to do so, as opposed to plowing straight through. Then again, going straight was a terrible strategy and she was sure it would only give them more obstacles and dangers to deal with. "My sister and Gale are alive and I know they'll be smart." She said, mostly for herself. "We'll find them soon." She said, though once the first night was out of the way, it would be easier to believe. Gale and Prim were smart of course, and skilled, but the arena was filled with trained killers and things designed to do them harm.

The only way Katniss would find real comfort, was when she could hold her sister in her arms.

"I think we should go through with your plan." It was unlikely they would run into Prim and Gale by doing that, but she hoped maybe Johanna or even Beetee could find them and make sure they were kept safe. What good were alliances if they couldn't be used right anyway? "I'm going to try and get some sleep, I'm not crossing my fingers through." Katniss said and looked around before deciding that she wouldn't be comfortable if she moved away from Haymitch so she just wiggled and got comfortable.

Around them, there was a group of three tributes observing and figuring out the best means to strike. It was generally agreed that they needed to wait a few more hours and give the two more of a false sense of security, before they made their move. Katniss closed her eyes and sighed, trying to forget about the stress and worry that were crawling all over her skin like tiny evil insects. She squeezed her eyes tighter, no longer able to use the pills the Capitol provided them for restful nights. "Wake me up if something exciting happens." Katniss muttered as she felt her body's strain finally catching up to her brain.

Knowing that Prim was okay, made the deaths somewhat worth it.

Somewhat; in his mind, these deaths were all pointless thanks to Snow's insanity.

Gale was happy to hear that she had found some things. It meant that their plan had been successful. It also proved to them that some risks were worth the reward if things worked out well enough. Gale leaned down to see what she have been able to collect in the quick search around the area. He was surprised to hear about the beds but as attractive as they sounded, he knew it wouldn't be worth the risk to go and find them and bring them back. He also was pretty sure they would be filled with some kind bugs or something.

If he had known about who she ran into, he would have wanted to move their camp a bit further away if possible. He also would have been a lot more inclined to leave as promptly as she mentioned. But he was still thinking about the merits of staying in the ruins a bit longer, not much longer, but it clearly had a lot of value and he wondered if they could try going back to the Cornucopia. It was worth a shot but at the same time, they had been lucky so far and he was sure it could run out whenever those watching over them saw fit.

Prim then moved and kissed his cheek. It made him feel a lot less vile. He grinned and put an arm around her to keep them close together. "Oh, Peeta sent it." He said, not wanting to say too much about the plan they had. "It could help us build something useful I bet." Gale told her and took another bit of meat, wishing they had more than one squirrel to share between them. The constant fighting and running required a lot of energy and one puny animal couldn't cut it. "I suppose we should be up first thing though I would like to check out the area some more." He was sure there had been areas Prim couldn't have inspected.

"But if you don't think we should, I'm happy to get moving again. It feels like we didn't make progress, being back where we started." Gale smiled a little more and gave a shrug, knowing that wasn't really true. "I know this isn't a good date but we can make the best of it." He joked a little. He really wished that he and Primrose could have enjoyed each other back home but any time they had now, he'd savor. "Tomorrow I'll be sure to get us a lot more food, maybe enough for two courses." He joked again, knowing their mental health was just as vital as their physical health.
