I keep forgetting online videos are also good to turn to instead of just looking at endless recipes online. I'm sure our grandparents would have loved the tech we've got now, cat videos aside maybe. XP

Oh right, so many things going on with the ground haha, from sinkholes to flash floods...but yeah that could work, I'm sure ants and scorpions could be lurking in the dry area. And I'm gonna get started on a post now, should have it done by tonight, as it's not my turn to make dinner.
The information he had given her had been helpful. Unlike Naruto or possibly Sasuke, Sakura actually enjoyed leaning which was why being in the top tier of the class wasn't too difficult for Sakura. Sasuke was also in the top but she would wager his desire to learn wasn't fueled by genuine curiosity, but something darker. Shikamaru was also pretty smart when he applied himself, as was Shino. But Sakura still liked to think the enjoyment she got from reading about other clans, jutsu and history, was something most, if not all, of her fellow graduates didn't share. It was a shame really, because to Sakura you could learn so much by just opening your eyes to other people instead of focusing solely on Konoha and it's own history. It was impressive to know that their Second Hokage was someone who was very familiar with the jutsu she was learning, as well as its origins.

Though the idea of making her own jutsu or at the least building atop one already well practiced and honed, came up and Sakura really did like the idea of adding to the history books somehow. Kakashi noted that some jutsu were typically made by those with a kekki genkai, which she was aware of it. Her family wasn't steeped in ninja experience and that was likely due to not having their own trademark kekki genkai. Perhaps if they did have one from years ago, her family's life would be very different but it wasn't the case and this was hardly the time for daydreaming. Not that she didn't pine after having a kekki genkai, they were tricky and imposed a great deal of weight on someone's shoulders. People like Sasuke, Hinata and even Kakashi had different burdens to carry around with them, compared to everyone else.

Kakashi mentioned it may be possible for some sort of breakthrough to occur but she wasn't so sure.

The work would be grueling.

Not that that was what was stopping her, but it just felt too soon to be getting her hopes raised beyond her reach.

Now though, her teacher brought up the topic of facing overwhelming odds. Sakura gave him a slightly worried look. It was important to handle yourself well when overpowered, outnumbered or worse, but the idea itself still didn't sound very appealing to her, even if she knew it was a good thing to train for. She remained silent as he continued to speak, but soon stopped as he tossed the clone a kunai and it went for her. Even though his words should have been enough of a tip, Sakura was certainly caught off guard. "What?" She took a few steps back as the water clone went after her, using its kunai to try and land any cut or slash. Once Sakura regained her footing, she was trying hard to focus on where the attacks were coming from and how to avoid them. Jumping away, she had just enough time to grab her own kunai from her leg pouch as it pursued her, their metal weapons clashing. The clone's force was much stronger than her own, making it a challenge to hold onto her own weapon without sinking into the water underneath them.

Her teeth were gritted as it used many kicks, as well as punches with the free hand. Sakura moved to her left to dodge a punch to her head but in another fluid motion, the clone's other arm swept around and sliced through the air. It took a split second for her adjust her head before a bit of her hair had been taken off. That was a very close call. If she had been positioned differently, even slightly she would have surely gotten her face cut up. Sakura used her own kunai to try and block the next attack but it ended up flying from her hand and sank down into the bottom of the lake bed. There was no way she would bother to retrieve it. The clone slashed at her again when her guard was done. Sakura let out a gasp and had no other choice but to release the chakra holding her up, in order to dodge the quick attack. With a splash, she fell under the water and stayed under it as she swam to another area. Thankfully the water wasn't too clear but she also knew her chakra could give her position away.

When her feet finally hit the bottom of the soil under her, she pushed herself up and flew up through the water and used her chakra to get her up to its surface, pushing it to her knees and then she got to her feed and the chakra settled there. With enough distance, she threw a kunai at the clones and then sped forward, not wanting the clone to be the one to close the gap between them. It deflected the kunai and Sakura threw a punch at the clone, it grabbed her arm, twisted her around and threw her away. She applied more chakra to her feet to stabilize her as it lunged for her again. The two went back to it on the offensive with her trying to dodge, with little time to even counter. It landed a few hits as well as managing to cut her upper left arm. After another two minutes, the clone slowed down its chaotic pace and Sakura knew this was a blatant window for her to use.

Even so, she wasn't about to let it slip away.

She let out a cry as she twisted her body back and then threw a large kick at its chest and while it flew back, she jumped forward and used her opposite fist to land a punch to the side of its face, causing it to fly back and hit the water, and also reduce itself to water. Sakura panted heavily and looked back over to where Kakashi and the other clone were. That had been a very difficult task and she knew the training session could only get tougher. His goal was to make her try to keep her wits about her when faced with an impossible opponent but even so, she wasn't sure this was going to help their traveling the rest of the day if she was worn out. Still, she wasn't going to complain when she had just voiced a desire to do more close combat. "He's not as friendly as you." She said as she started to catch her breath. Her right hand went to her cut on the left upper outer arm. It was bleeding but not horribly so. While she caught her breath, she used her medic training to heal up the wound, not wanting it to get infected.
Bump.
Thanks for the heads up, I hope things aren't too bad for you but it is a busy time of year for people.

I will be away next week as I'm taking a trip over to Ireland with the family so I won't be able to check the Guild until a day or two after I get back so that might give you some more time, if you need it.
I hope you'll be able to find the peppers, though I never bother with those so maybe they won't be hard to find in the store. I hope it turns out good, getting that balance can be hard but let me know if it worked out for you. Food puns can be awesome or awful but even when they're awful, they can be a little awesome. *laughs*

You mean instead of water in the marsh area? Some could be bugs or bugs in the water which could be like drowning but also being bitten like crazy. Yikes.
Heya @NeoAC would it be possible for you to get something up within a day or two (at the most)? I'm really hoping I can get a finished round done before I go but if you can't we'll just skip you but if you miss the next round too, we may need to discuss other options for your character since we can't keep puppeting around the gap, ya know?
Well if Tenzin isn't leaving, that makes things easier. That means Korra can work on her air bending as well as earth, which I think may be the tougher ones, compared to fire and water.

I do think keeping the council but perhaps adding more non-benders maybe based on the city's districts would be good to have. The major was kind of an ass anyway and we don't really need to deal with the fallout from season two and three since we're not dealing with those issues anyway so I think that works in our favor.

Suyin should have been a disappointment but all they said is they patched things up and expected Lin to roll over the same way which isn't fair at all. I never saw Toph as a parent to begin with...if anything I would have considered her the adoptive type or just the rebel aunt figure type. I never thought she'd be touchy feely and it's even worse that she had two daughters, maybe a son would have been easier for her to care for...I dunno. Toph is stubborn, so is Lin, I never expected real progress there which was saddening. Toph did mention why Katara didn't join the fight though, she's old, everyone's fucking old at this point and can't be the old Team Avatar. It would have been nice for Katara to be more present in the lives of the air benders, we only briefly saw Zuko's daughter as the fire lord (who did she marry? I'd like to see the balls on the guy who had to had zuko as a father in law).

I will say I was unhappy with the "flash back recap episode" because Mako's story owned up to his mistakes with Korra and Asami which I liked BUT he didn't mention how he hurt Bolin by coming onto Korra. He mentioned he turned her away but then the kiss happened and that was that. I will say it was nice to have them call Mako out on his BS but they didn't call him out enough...and then Korra's recap didn't have as much as I was hoping for either. And then with Bolin, stupid Varrik just adding a whole bunch of crap instead of letting Bolin voice how painful things have been with mistakes he made with Kuvia, being away from Mako and the others, never being accepted, having his BROTHER kiss the girl he thought he might be dating/into. It was a waste of an episode...I wish it just had the old cast summing things up like a parody or something...
Makes sense, how does it feel to be out of the loop Korra??? XP

I still think Bolin and Korra won't be easy to mend like Asami and Mako, Bolin and Korra haven't really had "alone time" together to really hash out their feelings all the way, they had a bit of a chance at Asami's place but it was mostly him trying to help Korra step back and see the bigger picture with herself, as opposed to dealing with them. Bolin doesn't want to bring up his feelings so soon, not when he's not sure if Korra's feelings have changed or if it's even the right time. I think if we give them some actual time together without anyone else, it may be easier to find the spark they had back in season one. Was it water? I dunno, I'm fine with whichever. It may make more sense for Korra to get used to water first since that is her original element.

By decision (season two is eons ago) you mean what? I know in season one we had benders from each nation/element represent on the council and I recall that being put in place still, come season four. But it did mention some kind of change made to sort of give non-benders some say in everything too...was that what you were talking about?

*facepalm* Oh shit you're right, Katara is already here. I totally forgot but yeah, no I remember reading that. But then Tenzin is leaving for what then? I had assumed he was leaving to get her but since she's here already, was he leaving for another reason because now I don't remember and I feel old. :/ Stupid brain...

We COULD have Pema, Lin and Tenzin have their talk "tonight" we might as well. It could then give Tenzin and Pema a day or two with their family to enjoy one another without some cloud hanging over them...well ya know...slightly smaller cloud. I just know her death needs to happen so, as horrible as that sounds. >___> I actually do feel fyi. So if we wanted Lin to go back with Tenzin, that could be an excuse for her to stay the night (and by that, I mean weep for her mistakes because everything hurts).

Toph and Lin didn't really resolve anything. I need to watch ep 12+13 but they kind of patched things up in 10-11 I think. Lin tried to tell Toph how hard it was never knowing about her dad and Toph didn't say much and said if Lin wanted to cut her off it was fine. Ouch. And then near the end when she came back to help against Kuvia, Toph then said it would be nice if Lin found a way to not hate her so much. Toph didn't really accept responsibility for being a questionable mother but she did admit she had some good kids. I didn't expect Toph to really apologize since I know back in ALTA with Katara and Toph at each other's throats about Toph never helping around camp and being nice to everyone, it was the same indifference. I didn't see them find closure which was a shame. I feel like Lin really got the short end of the stick, despite trying to make Toph proud/love her. Lin needed to let go of her anger and Toph didn't seem to really really understand it, which is a shame because the whole mess could be dealt with I think. Where is Tenzin when ya need him?
Bolins knows about what? About what Lin and Tenzin are up to with their digging around? I doubt he'd wanna tell Korra in case they told him NOT to tell Korra because this isn't really her fight (yet). Though it would also put a test to how much Bolin trusts Lin and Tenzin and how much he trusts Korra. Unless of course you mean something else heh.

If anything, Lin could stay for tea and then head back. I just don't see her staying the night since she feels she's already said too much and is acting quite unlike herself enough as it is. She is slowly trying not to push people away but it's a habit that is going to be tough to break because she probably accepts shes like her mother in the sense that getting close to people doesn't work out for her. </3

With the skip, I'd say it would happen after the funeral for Pema. We could then have Korra finally earth bending the way she was or close to it. (no metal bending yet or lava, whichever) And then we'd have Bolin and Mako still cops (maybe full fledged now?) and close again. Bolin and Korra have also gotten close again but not TOO much. Mako and Asami are back together again, her company is unveiling some new thing for the city and repairs on Republic City itself are mostly done. Asami is about to get earth bending and Xano and Xana could begin sending out trouble to test Asami's skills in both bending styles. Lin is making progress with her investigation, Tenzin is getting back to work?

Before the skip Asami will notify Korra she can fire bend now and leading up to it, we can have Korra, Mako and Asami fire bending together (Korra and Asami starting out slow probably). Though I also wanted to ask when we're offing Pema. I kind of want to do it soon. I know we planned to have Tenzin bring Katara back and have it not work but I do feel as though it should happen maybe the morning he's about to leave? I assume he's leaving in a day, maybe two? Which would put the funeral itself in 5-6 days? I think we could get Korra, Mako and Asami together during that span of time if you wanted...not that I'm trying to rush Pema out the door haha, but Lin and Pema did have a talk already and we want them to talk once more with Tenzin in the room so there's some kind of hint toward him being allowed to move on and be happy and for Lin to learn from the past instead of stay stuck in it?

Otherwise I assume (word of the night? lol) she dies when Tenzin returns in a couple days but I'm just trying to see what they really gives us in terms of the others roles.

Korra and Zaheer could date in the spirit world and it would be awesome. And then she tells Tenzin and he freaks out and gets jealous. And Korra decides Zaheer was just trying to make her a better Avatar in the end, even if his dream had to die, people can change. But alas...I also gotta give it to LoK for perfectly capturing Toph, every time she's on screen, it's very well done.
Huh, sweet and spicy, that does look really interesting. I'm sure you could use macadamia or almonds or cashews since they have the same taste as peanuts. He seems like a nice guy, easy to see what's he doing. I'm sure the flavors would be a good change from the typical.

Spiders, ants, centipedes, flies. Though I'm not grossed out by snakes...we'll probably add them into our pit of doom though.
