Genkai's Characters:

Name: Gabe Dystell (insists to be called Nah)

Age: 35

Race: Human

Class: Rouge, Archer/Ranger

Appearance: Link

History: Gabe was born in Highever to an upperclass family and is the younger of their sons. His older brother went on to become a Knight, leaving Gabe to deal with his own mediocrity. Despite the bond he and his brother formed over their youth and adolescence, Gabe was jealous of the talents his brother possessed. When his brother left to follow his dream, Gabe tried to continue his studies but found that his own practical skills were lacking. At the age of 17, he left home to travel the lands and discover what made him special. When he left home, he gave himself a new name, Nah.

As he traveled and lived off the land, he ran into dwarves, elves, mages, assassins and merchants. While his life in Highever had been rich and scholarly, Nah found being in the real world without worrying about unspoken boundries, to be very thrilling. At the age of 25, he came across an elderly man who taught him the skills of being a Ranger as well an Archer. After seven years of training, his teacher died of old age and Nah resumed his wandering but found himself less and less adventurous and more unsettled by the changing world around him. The beauty he once knew was steadily fading as more Darkspawn emerged, prompting the 35 year old to emerge from his shell and figure out if he could help.

Name: Mela Accon

Age: 22

Race: (Dalish) Elf

Class: Mage, Spirit Healer

Appearance: Link

History: Once part of a Dalish camp that roamed the countryside, Mela wandered off when she was four and it was then, that Flemeth kidnapped her, seeing her as a suitable vassal in due time. As she grew up, her elf heritage began to fade from her memory and Flemeth continued to teach her various spells. While Flemeth had an affinity for shapeshifting and tough spells, Mela found herself more inclined to learn healing spells and ones that would only paralyze a foe or aid an ally. At first Flemeth chastised the girl for being so weak willed but eventually approved as long as she mastered the very basics of fire, ice and arcane magic. When Mela reached the age of 15, she started to wander off in the Korcari Wilds and aid those who were lost.

From time to time, she'd come across a new soon-to-be pack of Grey Wardens fighting Darkspawn and it intrigued her. By the time she reached the age of 22, she had developed the nasty habit of leaving for days at a time to ensure there weren't any lost people in the woods and other surrounding areas. During such an outing, she wandered into Ostagar and heard they needed more people to join and help defeat the Blight. Mela happily raised her hand and said that while she wasn't a big fighter, she was great at healing and wanted to see the world. Something deep inside of her prompted her to take the plunge and she couldn't ignore it any longer, despite the firm warning Flemeth always fed her.
Kingdom of Ferelden: Somewhere in the south...

Julien's preference towards fishing was mighty unfortunate but right now, it was a matter she didn't want to argue.

They had nastier problems to deal with.

Despite the rocky start, their battle was finally taking a positive turn as Julien managed to duke it out with the final spider. Wystellia stood back and raised her staff toward him, having a better shot as she sent a mild healing spell his way, just in case he needed it. From the look of things however, he was going to win the battle which meant they had a few more hours of promised life before some nasty creatures tried to attack them again, if they were lucky of course. And so far, their luck had been pretty good. Both of them could have easily been killed in the confusion by either the enemy or a frightened solider.

Either way, Wystellia was happy that they could continue onward, no matter the futility.

"Very good." She praised Julien as he finally landed a finishing blow to the spider. Stepping forward to inspect their damage, Julien asked whether or not they were edible. She gave him a scowl, not finding the joke amusing. Spiders were gross, crude, vicious and overall awful things that often plagued her dreams when she was in the Fade. "I'll pass." She pouted and tapped the spider with the bottom of her staff, just double checking that it was indeed, dead. "If you'd like to try, I suspect the vile taste would compliment its potent venom." She mentioned. "And...suddenly eating fish sounds like a great plan." Wystellia admitted as the thought of taking a mouthful of a spider's roasted leg made her nauseous.

As much as she wanted to eat game, she knew she could be picky when they weren't so close to a massive gathering of Darkspawn. Looking around, she motioned for Julien to follow her as she led them off the dusty path and further into the woods. Birds flew overhead and rays of sunlight managed to hit them as they kept bumbling around. They went over a rocky hill and then made their way down. The sound of quick flowing water could be heard faintly and Wystellia looked to her right and jogged over to another, more steep hill and looked down to see a river down below. They weren't too high above it but if they wanted to get to lower ground, it would be another couple of minutes. And since neither of them knew where they were in regards to Ostagar, they didn't know how close they were to another town.

They would either need to keep moving or accept that taking a longer time to keep moving, meant having to make camp in the woods, and given their lack of supplies, it would be a very difficult night. Her mind was also considering that if Darkspawn appeared, she and Julien could easily be outnumbered and overwhelmed if they were careless. "Do you think you'd be able to fish here or should we look for a better spot?" She asked him. She could probably help with her magic but she didn't think it would do much good if she tried freezing the river or firing flames at it. If anything, she figured that would ensure that there would be no fish to reel in. If they get something, she'd be able to fry it up nicely and thankfully she didn't require tinder or anything like that.
It's a short post guys but as soon as everyone's put down their stuff, my next post will be the consequences of that action so I don't need your posts to be long winded if you want to give something a little skimpy for this round.
Everyone was reunited. It was an oddly smooth process so Crystal wasn't about to lower her guard and expect more luck in their favor. The woman listened as Apex then began to explain what the book wanted. Simple and strange. She had a bad feeling about it but regardless of how she felt, she knew that was the only way they were going to find any answers. Part of her wished they could just duke it out in combat but she didn't like the fact that they were also stranded in someone else's world, someone else's playgrounds. Cypher was the first brave one to get the deed over with. Crystal watched, trying to contain her amusement. Her friend was always a great source of entertainment and right now, it was like the sun was slowly peaking through the dark abysmal clouds over head.

"Alright then, let's see..." She caught the book, barely, and looked at what Cypher had jotted down.

What could she not be happy without?

"Respect." She quietly said as she wrote it down. Her determination wasn't a big secret and the others would soon see what she had written anyway. Crystal looked around and handed it to Atomik. "Your turn." She offered up a small smile. Crystal wanted to keep things moving along more quickly now. Because they were all back together, she saw no reason to drag their heels and worry. They were together, a team, as they were meant to b. Crystal looked around the room and then turned her attention upwards at the intricate design under the curved ceiling. The woman let out a sigh, still annoyed by the effort made to construct such a place and yet it still lacked hospitality. If she was going to kidnap someone important, she would have done her best to at least make them feel welcomed and not like second hand trash.

She walked over to where Apex was, wondering if he had found anything that could give him a push in the direction of why they were where they were. "Did you find anything of interest?" She asked. Of course she knew she'd be informed if there had been something but still, she wanted to ask, if only to quell her own impatience. Crystal wondered if the Gvn had any indication of what was going on. She also started to wonder if there was some kind of trouble going on that they couldn't be taking care of. To her, the sooner they got through the stupid requirements, the sooner they could get out and do their jobs. As soon as Atomik finished, Crystal looked over, wondering if BreGle or Apex would have the honors of being fourth or last.
I'll probably get my sheets up tonight or tomorrow. I have to dog sit for a friend and I had expected to go tomorrow afternoon but I'm being picked up tonight which puts a damper on me staying up late. At any rate, I'm excited to get going as well, it'll be nice to have a good supply of RPs before classes begin.
This is a DAO RP between me and @El Taco Taco and we'll be using the Dragon Age Origins plot with out own set of colorful characters.

We will begin in the Korcari Wilds with Mela (a Dalish Elf) who had been kidnapped by Flemeth and taken under her wing. She, along with two other new Grey Warden recruits, plus a senior Warden named Ingvar Hjortursen O Stone-Bearhold (an Avvar) have been tasked to find the Treaties as well as retrieve their Darkspawn blood prior to finishing The Joining. Ingvar and the others come across Flemeth and get the needed documents. After returning to Ostagar, only Mela has survived and the two Grey Wardens are tasked with lighting a beacon to signal Loghain down below. The battle goes horribly wrong and when Mela and Ingvar awaken, they discover that Flemeth has saved them. From there, they travel toward Lothering but in doing so, meet a human named Gabe who calls himself Nah. The three continue through Lothering toward Redcliffe where they come across a female (a Rivaini City Elf) who has been helping the poor souls survive the nightly attacks of the undead. The four band together to finally get to the bottom of everything, which means sneaking into the castle.

So that's our rough outline once all four main roles meet up.

From there we'll be able to roam as we like, visiting new locations, getting alliances, helping people, and kicking Darkspawn ass.
Oh. Of course...

He had a point.

Sakura and the boys hadn't considered he had been actually doing something important related to his ninja duties.

It made sense now and she felt stupid for nothing thinking of it earlier. She gave him two understanding nods as he then went on to say how he wouldn't be late for her unless it was for a good reason. Sakura had already set her menu down by now, having only glanced over it before she decided their conversation was worth her full attention. Kakashi went on to say that she was his legacy. Her face became more serious at that comment. No...she hadn't considered that either. His words held weight and she wondered if she'd be capable enough of carrying them with her as she grew. Sakura had fire in her, there was no doubt there but Kakashi was putting not just his time and energy into her, but also his trust and that was truly priceless. She didn't want to let him down.

The man also brought up how people had different ideas when it came to leaving a mark on the world. She thought of her old teammates and what they believed in. She then thought back to her need to make her own jutsu but also a need to heal people and use the knowledge she was gaining, for the greater good. The serious discussion was wrapping up as the man admitted she would be Tsunade's legacy as well but that he didn't mind sharing. This caused the girl to smile nervously. There was no excuse for her to fail at becoming a powerful kunnoichi, not when she had two terrific teachers backing her up and supporting her. It was an honor to be able to call both Kakashi Hatake and Lady Tsunade her mentors. She had been jealous of Naruto and even of Sasuke, at certain moments, but now she really had no more jealously or envy to hold on to.

"Oh," Her heart was actually racing a little. "I'm sure I'll have plenty of fond words regarding you." She assured Kakashi with a small sweet laugh.

Just then a woman approached their table and Sakura found herself thinking back to what the menu had to offer. Meanwhile, the women kept talking and Sakura found herself only half-listening until she mentioned the way she and Kakashi were looking at each other. If Sakura had been eating or drinking, she would have certainly choked and died. Sakura looked from the waitress back to Kakashi, not sure if she heard correctly or not. What way were they looking at each other exactly? Before she could inquire further, the woman kept speaking rather quickly and by the time she was finished, Sakura's brain was still struggling to process such a misunderstanding. It appeared Kakashi was unsure of what to do as well. Sakura slowly looked back to the woman who seemed oddly excited about them being a couple.

75% off?

Dessert?

What...?

Her mind was still twitching in panic as well as embarrassment. Kakashi was her teacher. Did they look closer than that? Sakura was beyond baffled and felt her jaw starting to drop in befuddlement. Her lips pursed outwards in a stumped manner as the woman looked them, expecting her assumptions to have been valid and correct. "A-a...actually, we..." Sakura started to stammer but the woman looked so happy. It was weird and Sakura knew it would be made worse if she tried to tell the woman the truth. As awkward as it felt, Sakura didn't have it in her to pop whatever bubbling fantasy the kind woman had created. "I um...well...we..." Sakura looked to Kakashi and gave a pained shrug, thinking they didn't have a choice in the matter. What harm could it do, really? Sakura put on a smile and reached over for Kakashi's hand, in the process she almost slapped a napkin off the table. "To be honest, we uh just started dating a few weeks ago." She lied, trying to think of something believable.

"This is new to us but...you know, when it's right, it's right..." She said nervously and squeezed Kakashi's hand a little, trying to tell herself this was better than explaining that they were actually teacher and student and not at all romantically involved. She even doubted she was Kakashi's type, not that it mattered. "We'll just have the uh beef curry and jasmine rice please." She then said quickly, wanting the lady to quickly be on her way.

"Of course, something a little hot for the two lovers." The woman smiled and took their menus and then looked between the pair. "And you two shouldn't be sitting across from each other." She gasped and motioned for Sakura to get up. "I know you two could get lost in each other's eyes but sitting next to each other is much cozier, go on." She waved her hands at Sakura until she got up and slid in next to Kakashi. "There, isn't that better? You two shouldn't be so nervous, I have a feeling you're both going to make each other happy for quite a while." A man called her from the kitchen and she sighed and apologized before she left them alone finally. Before, Sakura had thought playing along wouldn't be a big deal but now she was beginning to reconsider. There was no way out though, so she hoped Kakashi wasn't too uncomfortable.

At least they had that in common at the moment.

Looking to him, she sighed and smiled a little, mostly at the situation they were in. "I think this is something we leave out of our report, if Lady Tsunade found out we were in love, we wouldn't be able to train together." Sakura playfully pointed out.
That poor Random Dude...the owner can surely go find Professor Oak in the Brecilian Forest and get another companion, of course after providing their own gender for the millionth time ahaha.
Oh thank you, @Aphelion. ^^ I think it can be something fun and different, while also keeping with the darker tone of seriousness given the situation everyone will be placed in. I'm trying to see what type of pokemon (grass, fire, water, flying, poison, fairy etc) people may be considering since I'd only want to make an OOC if I have players who are certain they're on board. Did you have a specific type or even pokemon you were thinking of using?
I know I know lol

It's called the seasoning house and I was hoping for supernatural ghost horror but...yeah it's more of a thriller if nothing else. :/ I wanna finish it but it just...it kills me inside to watch that kind of stuff. Porn is different, we all know it isn't real but this movie is pretty brutal and I'm sure in some parts of the world, shit like that happens, which is terrible.

At least she won't have shotgun or something like that. I could see Sakura bringing her new Genin some cookies or cupcakes while they talk and get to know each other, then she'd assign them the bell test using the bell Kakashi gave her when she became a Chunin finally.
