OCs can be good, or at least 'not bad' but it's pretty rare these days. I'd rather have a canon poorly written than an OC badly written because to me, OCs don't belong in fandoms, I like to keep original work and fandoms separate. I have had good instances with doubling for one or two people in the past but for the most part, those who make an OC just wanting a good time and to be romanced, are painful to work with.

Universes like Naruto or Avatar or HP can give birth to some of the worst OCs, so only certain fandoms to me, can house OCs alongside canons without screwing things up.

So you want cases to pop up in my skip about new benders? I think there would be one or two (Asami's isn't known...yet) but I don't think it would be too notable yet unless maybe one of them was an air bender (since they got the bending DNA from Pema yes?).

I still think if more people tried to play canons, they'd find out it's not hard and (for me) more fun to play with what we know about them and then to develop them differently. I roll my eyes when I see people always asking for canons to go alongside their OCs. Save that shit for fanfics in my mind, or at least offer to double and do it fairly. I like how canons are something everyone knows, often times OCs are either over complicated with a stubborn writer, or OCs are made by people who don't consider a concept or plot and just know they want a certain canon without making a decent character.

So for our next skip (after the one I am making) it will be two or three weeks (three weeks from Pema dying or a month, from the night we're on right now)? I think by now, there will be a lot more cases popping up but we also mentioned in the next skip (however long it was) there would be cases of people now getting bending.

It was horrifying. Never again will I use someone else's device for late night shanangins. I'm glad she could connect to it, it's not easy with a fandom, a lot of people give it a bad name because of "canon characters" and stuff but when a fandom is done well, it becomes almost an 'original' style and situation which is awesome. :3

If the teacher was some Gordon Ramsay type, it would be pretty funny to have Asami and Korra mocking him behind his back while Bolin gets a knack for baking or something and then Bolin gets into his prissy mood and channels Ramsay when he is out with Korra. Bolin will deny it of course lol

I never considered the kids leaving but if they left with Katara (for like a week?) it could give Tenzin and Lin some time to clean up the house, maybe while doing so, Lin makes sure there's some kind of place to remember Pema (I still think I wanna have her bend some kind of statue to honor the woman) in the house or on the island. I was gonna suggest them going into the spirit world to come across Pema, but it feels too soon for that.

I'll try and get an intro up today. I no longer have a class on Monday nights so that takes some stress off my shoulders. I'm glad you've got your man for a good amount of time though. ^^

Hey I just swapped the class today, I couldn't have gone to it beforehand lol

Well my dad once found a smut based IM thing on his laptop because I guess I didn't know it saved (this was about....5-6 years ago I think) and he just asked me what it was, I muttered something and ran off. We never spoke of it again lol It wasn't my best stuff so I had no reason to defend it haha. But sharing writing can be good, then again some parents don't care or encourage their kids, it's hard for me to believe though. :/ I'm glad your aunt still got what you were going for though, that's impressive on both your parts.
