The Mauve Warden, a dwarf named Berick Hazentall, scoured the region of Ferelden for the next generation of Wardens. Berick was part of the Warrior Caste and had been a Warden for nearly five decades, taking it upon himself to patrol The Deep Roads during the peace between the last Blight and the one now upon them once again. Berick was given an exemption due to his high standing as a decorated Mauve Warden which allowed him to travel on the surface while maintaining his family's status. When the nightmares began to get worse and he saw visions of dragons attacking the countryside with bloodied shreds of body parts littering the ground, he was determined to increase the numbers of the Wardens.
He also put a notice for the other regions to send help if they could.
In the meantime, Berick Hazentall went across the region to keep an eye out for those who exhibited the strength as well as morals which embodied a defender of the innocent, as well as slayer of the Darkspawn. Having found four Wardens, each unique in their own skills, he took them all back to his kingdom, Fuchsia so they could complete The Joining. The Joining is now a two-part ritual which included a Warden's Companion. The first part for the Pokemon is a battle like the Warden's. It's to demonstrate itself in combat against a horde of ten Darkspawn ranging from Hurlocks to Pokemon which had turned into demonic creatures filled with rage. The Companion would need to defend itself and prove that is has the capacity to either outwit the collection, beat them or evade them.
Once that was over, they undergo a two day session which they are chained in place, unable to sleep, starved, exposed to extreme conditions such as injury, cold, heights and other instances to provoke stress. Should the pokemon survive, they are given the blood of a Darkspawn that has been mixed with their Master's blood. This cements the bonding between a Companion and its Master and it fortifies the bond and determination the pokemon shares with the Warden. At the same time, the potential Warden is tasked to go into The Deep Roads to fight Darkspawn head on while under the supervision of a Senior Warden.
After they have slain enough to gather vials of Darkspawn blood, they retreat to the surface and travel to the Lost Tower where their pokemon are undergoing their second test. As they all stand in a circle on top of the tower to remember the fallen Wardens, victims of previous Blights, and those who aided them, the Senior Warden must recite the following:
"Join us, brothers and sisters. Join us in the shadows where we stand vigilant. Join us as we carry the duty that can not be forsworn. And should you perish, know that your sacrifice will not be forgotten. And that one day we shall join you."
The Wardens would then drink the blood they gathered, along with that of their pokemon. While this would only cause a mild reaction from the pokemon, this could be much more harmful to the Wardens. They have a 50% survival rate or become corrupted and die from exposure to the blood. Pokemon, on the other hand won't show signs for a few days. Should both make it a week without showing signs of rejecting the rituals, they will become full fledged Wardens. Both the Master and its Companion will gather with the other select few recite the following oath:
"In war, victory. In peace, vigilance. In death, sacrifice."
Our tale of struggle begins in Redcliffe Village only two weeks after The Joining. The Mauve Warden has left the four newest recruits while he goes to Viridian City to appeal to the King and Queen and ask for more people to help in the fight against the Blight. So far everyone has waved him off but he is determined to continue recruiting and talking about the dangers until his final breath. For now, the four new Wardens and their Companions must decide what to do now. They've been tasked to spread the word of the newest Blight but also to help people in need and to not turn a blind eye or cold shoulder to anyone, no matter their circumstances. Berick Hazentall made sure the four had ample supplies and knew how to contact him if any of them saw the Archdemon. For now, they would have only had dreams with the dragons. Sadly, those dreams were a warning, a view into the future of Ferelden if they didn't act quick enough.
Chapter One: The Beginning of the End
As the four watched the Senior Mauve Warden leave with his Xatu beside him, the sun was slowly climbing above the mountains, finally shedding some light on the humble town. Sasha Estute let out a sigh and removed her glasses. Without them, she could still see but couldn't read anything. She pulled out a cloth from her leather messenger bag and quickly cleaned her glasses. "This place is filthy." She muttered, disapproving of the dust everywhere and lack of real roads or pavement. Of course the only places that put in the time to make a place hospital were those like her hometown of Highever. The silver haired scholar tilted her head back and looked at the glasses in the coy sunlight before putting them back on. Her Onix was behind the group but knew that in such a tight village, it would be better if it stayed out or went underground and just kept an eye on his Master.
Thanks to The Joining, the blood both parties drank made it possible to sense where each other were, but also where gatherings of Darkspawn were as well. But it also meant they knew where the Wardens were, it was indeed a double edged sword. While the woman in lace placed her hands on her hips, Jennifer raised her arms above her head and stretched. "Man, being back here brings back memories." She said. They had just arrived and Berick Hazentall had shown them around before quickly leaving but Jen felt like she was back home. If her home stole her beloved boots. "Watch your gold, silver and copper coins guys." She warned. "This place is full of sticky fingers. If I ever find out who nicked my boots, I'd offer to buy the guy a drink." She laughed and put her arms behind his head, her fingers lacing together. "Something might slip into said drink, I have sticky fingers myself." Jennifer chuckled and gave a smirk.
Sasha looked over at the purple haired potion maker and then at the others, not sure if she approved them getting side-tracked by a petty event. Even so, they needed to figure out what to do. They had been told to warn people of the Blight, fight enemies and help people. It was all a little vague. And while she had read about the Wardens of the past, it was still hard to picture herself someday in a history book doing good deeds and saving the day. Sasha knew the real chance of her making a difference was slim though. Only a few people did good, most others died a painful death with no one even remembering their name, let alone face and cause. "We should probably check the local Request Wall." She told them. "It's something many cities and landmarks set up to list the help people need in the area. It lists the general description and any needed details can be found with the requester." She explained.
A mild growl from Jen's stomach could be heard. They had been traveling from The Kingdom of Fuchsia to the Kingdom of Olivine while trying to shake off the effects of the blood they had to drink during The Joining. She was hungry and tired and couldn't thinking about do anything except getting something to eat. "I think I saw that last time I was here, it was in the Tavern." She said and looked to the others. Since no one seemed to object, the party of four turned and walked back through the village, kicking up small clouds of dust as they walked. They came to a steep hill and Jennifer pointed to the wooden building built into the mountain above the village. "There it is..." She said darkly. "Watch out. Their ale may be good but it's not worth it when it's served by thieves." She pouted as they kept climbing up. When they finally got to the top and headed inside, they were welcomed by the smell of fresh bread, grilled fish and beer.
The tavern was small and located above it was a inn where people could rent rooms. There was also another inn down in the center of the village but it was newer and cost more. It was near the shops as well as the blacksmith. There were long wooden tables and stools inside and off to the left across from the bar, there was a stone wall with papers nailed to it. The group went over and saw four requests for aid. Jen looked over them and figured the most interesting one was from the local blacksmith who needed some things from Granite Cave and the Korcari Wilds. Sasha on the other hand, found her heart set on the chef who wanted to cook with better ingredients. Of course The Mauve Warden had made it clear to not break up into small groups but to stick together if possible. Sasha stepped back and looked around. "Why don't we get something to eat and discuss our options?" She suggested.
"Sounds good to me." Jen said and sat down at the nearest table, bringing her backpack around to her lap so she could quickly check her inventory as it had been four minutes since they entered the tavern and inn and she wanted to make sure no one was targeting her goods again.
Your Frequency: Fridays-Sundays should be doable. I like to snag days when I can stay online for several hours and work on posts without dealing with other obligations.
Your Real Life Obligations:
I have college Tuesday and and Thursday afternoons and evenings. My three English classes require a TON of reading so I'm often stuck doing that. When I need to do the occasional write up, it's easier to find time for online stuff. I don't work but I am looking to get a possible part-time job or take on little jobs in the area like pet sitting or plant watering.
Your Favorite tv show or book series:
I've been watching a lot of Law and Order SVU. I'm also watching The Last Man on Earth and Blunt Talk. Other favorites include Orphan Black, BoJack Horseman, Mr.Robot, Game of Thrones, Top Gear (UK) and Doctor Who. Daredevil, Fruits Basket, Yu Yu Hakusho and The Slayers are also pretty awesome.

To create her very own potion.
And to explore more forests and woods.
History:
Under the tutelage of her parents, from a young age, Jennifer quickly grasped the complexity of potion making as well as bartering. She was born and raised in the Brecilian Forest in a small village which was shared with a colony of Dalish Elves. Jennifer learned to work alongside the folk and in turn, they taught her how to create more potent concoctions. Jen's parents were active people who hunted for the village while Devon ran errands for the older people who weren't as active.
Her mubari hound was a gift for her when she turned 15 and was told to leave home to see more of the Olivine Kingdom and its offerings. Jennifer parted ways with her family and friends and traveled with her dog. For over a year, the pair stayed safe while expanding their horizons. One night a pack of wild pokemon attacked the pair and killed the dog. Jen survived the fight and made her way to Redcliffe Village and that's when she lost her beloved boots. For the next month, she did little travel and stayed in the "Thieving Town" to make enough money to buy new shoes. Finally able to leave, the 17 year old went back to making potions for all sorts of folks, both good and bad alike.
While romping around the Korcari Wilds, the 18 year old came across a unique pokemon helping others. Jen, rather curious and impressed, approached the Vileplume. She was unsettled by the human's presence but Jennifer then showed her that she too, liked looking after others. The pair eventually grew to trust one another and she became her new companion for travel. She went back home for the first time since leaving, and her parents were proud of the skills she had honed. She stayed for a long time but then went back to traveling after a year. Just after she turned the age of 24, while in Floaroma Town, she went to a show and there, he met a Mauve Warden who said they were recruiting.
Jen happily offered her services and was eager to see even more of Ferelden, as well as use her talents, as amazing as they had become.
She is able to help Devon with poisonous potions and other damaging liquids that can harm an enemy. She is also able to put close range targets to sleep if they're in pain and need to be healed. Vileplume is also able to help collect leaves in order to hide a party of people from approaching enemies, as well as use a special aroma to throw people off their track. Sadly, she is a little weak and sensitive and often needs to look to her Master for approval. She is fond of tranquility and trusts the judgement of Devon.
A faded tan leather bound journal. Inside were sketches of the rock pokemon she observed when she was looking for her partner. It was the first documentation of her meeting her Onix, it was last seen in Haven.
Fears:
Darkness.
Deep water.
Dreams:
To preserve history and ensure their future is not a copy of itself.
History:
Having been born in to an upperclass family with distant ties to the throne, Sasha's upbringing was delightful. She was able to get a formal education and develop a thirst for knowledge. She has a twin brother who went on to become a Knight while she decided to travel to other libraries in the Goldenrod Kingdom. The teenager was escorted when she went from city to city and found it rather tiring and unnecessary. To her, the men could be better spent doing something more noble and so she decided to find a Pokemon that could take the place of a protective guardian which would suit her family's wishes but also enable the youth to have some freedom.
After doing ample research, the girl decided a rock Pokemon would provide her with enough safety but it would also be useful in the years to come. She visited a rock quarry where many lived and she began to study them, trying to pick out the best one to befriend. A male Onix seemed the most social and she ended up cleaning its body since it had become dirty and littered with moss and twigs. This act, she knew would show the wild Pokemon that she was a friend. They became quick companions and with his height, she found she could reach higher bookshelves and trees with fruit.
Sasha continued to travel and record historic information and interview people, as well as document where certain pokemon could be found. When she reached the age of 21, she was told she needed to consider marrying soon. Not being very outgoing, Sasha resisted and said when she visited the other Kingdoms, she would settle down. Her family wasn't happy with her stubbornness but didn't wish to force an arranged marriage. For the next seven years, she taught the children in Highever while writing her own research books. When a Mauve Warden came into town and spoke of needing more help for the Blight, most people brushed claims aside but Sasha knew the truth couldn't be ignored.
The Warden noticed her passion for knowledge and extended an invitation, which she only needed an hour to accept, leaving her home behind with her Onix.
Encountered: On the road between Haven and Highever.
Disposition:
+ Playful
- Rebellious
+ Outgoing
Assistance:
Due to his stature and durability, he's able to shield the party from projectiles. He is also able to help people reach things high up. But due to his size and weight, he is rather slow and hard to conceal during travels. Onix isn't subtle nor delicate and he sometimes has to dig underground in order to later meet up with his Master, Sasha. Onix is prone to getting distracted at times and not watching out where its long tail is, sometimes knocking things or people over and causing injury.
I've added your character's personal quests, BW. I'm also going to change my male to a female to balance things out a little more. For now I will post both characters but will hold off on reposting my introduction until I've edited the sheet to accommodate the gender swap. You two should feel free to subscribe and discuss the direction, as well as repost your own characters if no changes are being made.
This is an Advanced 1x1x1 between me and @sMoKe and @Bad Weather which merges Pokemon and Dragon Age Origins together. The following is taken from the Group RP I had going with them and a few others who fled.
Fans of either game should note that these settings will be edited for the sake of the RP. Whether you're knowledgeable in either, you should still take the time to read these locations because things will have changed. If you have any questions and need things further clarified, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them. Due to this being a hybrid, there will be things I haven't yet considered so be patient.
Region:
A terrible Map I made for guidance, without my beloved Photoshop.
The region we're in is known as Ferelden. It is a large continent with three different Kingdoms ruling over its entirety. The Great Ferelden River runs right down the middle.
Olivine Kingdom is a very lush, grassy Kingdom with plentiful livestock, produce, leather goods and handcrafted medicine. The King and Queen who rule over it are known to be passive. Due to the wooded areas, small towns and farms, many people turn out to be Bards, Assassins, Farmers, Potion Makers and/or Archers. There is also a large population of elves that are known to flee to Olivine and take shelter in its many lush endless mazes of trees and boulders.
Redcliffe Village
In the northwest, a small town in a mountainous region. It's a dusty town with some crime. The homes are made of wooden and clay. The people who live there tend to be merchants, smiths and farmers.
Brecilian Forest
In the southeast, a large forest which connects to the Korcari Wilds and Petalburg Woods. The Brecillian Forest is home to many small villages of elves, humans and a mixture. It is less dense than most and is very bright, bathed in sunlight.
Viridian City
The Capitol of the Kingdom, located at the center. It is a large city with stones littering the ground. The buildings are sturdy and its home to a large library, school, and even a marketplace. It's surrounded by green trees and bushes.
Viridian Forest
To the west of Viridian City, a thick forest that reaches to the end of the kingdom's territory. It contains a lot of wild pokemon and touches The Great Ferelden River.
Korcari Wilds
South of Viridian Forest, it also follows the river. It's smaller but more complex. The Korcari Wilds are filled with more marshy areas and ruins of civilization's past.
Petalburg Woods
Located east of Viridian City, Petalburg Woods is a cozy area of forestation that very little light can reach. There are myths circulating around the dead that haunt the area, as well as the criminals who hide out.
Floaroma Town
The second largest urbanization in the kingdom. It's located on the northeast coast and is home to many jovial activities. The town is known for its fishing exports as well as its nightlife and friendly folk.
Lake Calenhad
It's located north of Floaroma Town and is a lush place for people to fish and camp. It is quite deep and has a small tavern on the north side.
Oldale Town
In the northern part of Olivine, it's a small village that claims it was the first ever established in the area and is thus the oldest. It is peaceful and filled with plenty of elderly folk looking for help in exchange to tell stories of baffling historic significance.
Goldenrod Kingdom is an upscale Kingdom embellished with castles made up stone, gems and bricks. It produces strong armor made of silver and metal. It is home to sprawling libraries, manors, bridges and well paved roads. The King and Queen who rule over their land are known to be passionate and protective of its citizens. People often become Scholars, Knights, Warriors, Duelists and/or Thieves. Seeing dwarves or elves is uncommon in the area.
Highever
The Capitol of Goldenrod Kingdom, located in the south on the coast. It's a majestic city with stone and gems everywhere. It has a great view of the ocean and a massive fortress for the King and Queen. It has libraries, a dock, and many other districts.
Denerim
The second largest city, in the northeast area along the coast. It's less policed than Highever and so it's more prone to criminal activity in certain parts.
Lumiose City
The third largest city, but still expanding. It's located in the center of the kingdom.
Anistar City
Located on The Great Ferelden River and known for it's sophisticated design and quaint style. They are also known to have Pokemon Competitions every couple of months because of its prime location.
Lothering

Haven
Another small village between Highever and Denerim. It's where some refuges take shelter. There isn't a lot of activity there and those who linger are usually elves or dwarfs.

A large glittering cave where a lot of mining takes places. It's located in the south and can be a labyrinth if people aren't careful.
Mt. Chimney
A volcanic area which is near the top of the border.

Fuchsia Kingdom is a modest Kingdom shrouded in a magical purple mist, preventing those will ill intent upon entering the area. It is well known that its exports are mystical items and well crafted weapons ranging from blades to staffs. They also produce clothes, jewelry and other light armor. The land is home to an underground city where most dwarves dwell because they are unaffected by magic. The King and Queen are kind but at the same time, uncertain of outsides. Popular lifestyle choices will include Spirit Healers, Shapeshifters, Mages, Fortune Tellers and/or a Shadow.
Frostback Mountains
The chilly range that leads travelers to Orzammar. It's rocky and steep and sometimes merchants can be found in the area, to take advantage of tired or lost travelers.
Orzammar
An underground city of massive proportions which houses the vast majority of dwarves. It is broken into varous sections, depending on the caste someone is in. Humans and elves are allowed inside but it's not common that they stay too long.
Deep Roads
A maze of tunnels around and under Orzamaar which darkspawn frolic. It is a confusing area for even the most skills of warriors. Rumor has it, there a secret room in the Deep Roads where old inventions used to go on, supposedly using sacrifice.
Circle Tower
Located in the middle of the kingdom, it's home to the region's mages and scholars. The tower is located in the middle of Lyrium Lake. It's made of stone and reaches several stories up. It's guarded by Templars and other mages to keep people out.

Laverre City
The second largest city, located north of the Circle Tower. It's in a wooded area with lots of rainfall. It is still a friendly place for any visitor. There are fountains and ponds scattered around the area.
Dark Cave
A spooky cave in the south which has been generally unexplored.
Icirrus City
In the northeast, a city that sits by the river and takes things slow. Most of the people who live there have families and there's even a bird sanctuary for flying Pokemon.
Key Terms:
A Bard is someone who uses music and dance, as well as mild magic to entrance their victims into a sedate state. An Assassin is someone who uses small throwing blades to attack their enemy from afar, sometimes laced with poison. A Farmer is someone who produces food through livestock, pokemon and cultivating the land. A Potion Maker is someone who is skilled to make healing potions, as well as harmful ones. An Archer uses a bow and arrow to attack long distances.
A Scholar is someone who relies on a powerless staff to defend themselves in dire situations. A Knight uses a sword and shield, often wearing heavy armor. A Warrior uses a large weapon requiring the use of both hands. A Duelist uses two light blades in combat, one in each hand. A Thief is someone who has quick hands and agility, capable of quick combat.
A Spirit Healer is someone who has healing magic as well as spells to ward off enemies and boost allies. A Shapeshifter is capable of turning into various pokemon and animals for limit amounts of time. Mages use basic magic (fire, ice, lightening) to attack. Fortune Tellers use tarot cards to see in the near future as well as far away lands. And a Shadower is someone who uses magic to conceal themselves in a shadow briefly, to distract opponents and stab them in the back literally.
There are two different types of Elves, Dalish and City. Dalish elves are free to roam and mostly reside in Olivine or Fuchsia. Dalish elves balk at the idea of city life and prefer to live off the land. City elves on the other hand, aren't forced against their will to reside in any sort of prison or Alienage, but they are still discriminated against in Goldenrod and some parts of Fuchsia. City elves embrace the city life and have cut off ties with their own kind to live a richer life among humans or sometimes dwarves.
And dwarves aren't very fond of being Topside (being above ground) and liked to stay underground in Orzammar and the Deep Roads. They are a blunt folk who still use a caste system, despite some wanting to do away with it since their history is become difficult to collect given the Blights unleashing more Darkspawn than usual which ruin stashed documents and other artifacts important to the dwarves.
The region has been plagued by four previous Blights. A Blight is defined by the presence of an Archdemon, a powerful transformation of an old Pokemon nearing its end. Normally Darkspawn reside in the Deep Roads but when there is a Blight, they're more powerful and able to further penetrate the other Kingdoms. Darkspawn blood is notably very dangerous and infects anything living creature it comes across. Darkspwan can either be corrupted Pokemon or demonic creatures such as Hurlocks or Genlocks. While Darkspawn are deadly and quick, they can be killed but the average person would struggle with their reckless tactics.
In order to combat an Archdemon and it's army of amped up Darkspawn, a group of people stepped forward and formed The Wardens. These people took it upon themselves to travel Ferelden and battle against the hordes of enemies, forsaking their families and homes. Little is known about The Wardens to outsiders except that they accept any and all who have a desire to put an end to the Blight, no matter the cost. They accept those with magic, those with pointed ears, those with royal blood and those with sticky fingers. They go through The Joining and should they and their chosen Pokemon survive, they are forever a Warden, under their practice of choice.
After the end of the third Blight, The Wardens discovered that they had an affinity to communicate with Pokemon. Each Warden found that they had a specific type, native to their region. From then on, The Joining also required the selection of a Companion Pokemon which would also undergo a serious task to join its Master as a Warden. By this point, texts and mentors had emerged that could teach new Wardens and their Companions how to properly fight. For the most part, the Pokemon were to remain as aid, as opposed to directly battling with Darkspawn. When the fourth Blight was over, many of the Wardens had been killed or died of old age and a new generation had to quickly be formed. In the past, there would be at least 80 years before a Blight began but the last one had only 30 years of peace and people were wondering if the next Blight would come sooner than expected as well.
It did.
One of the last remaining Wardens, a Mauve Warden, recruited a new band of Wardens to travel the lands, help people and of curse defeat the fifth Blight infecting the region after just fifteen years of peace since the fourth Blight.
Pokemon:
A Mauve Warden's Companion is psychic. An Ivory Warden's Companions is flying. A Sepia Warden's Companion is rock. A Crimson Warden's Companion is fire. An Azure Warden's Companions is water. An Emerald Warden's Companion is grass.
In Ferelden, Pokemon are common to tame as pets, eat, use for labor and compete in judged battles for prize money. For the most part, they remain wild though, with only 30% of Ferelden's population being able to tame Pokemon to be pets, labor or competitors. The majority of people see Pokemon was either mystical, dangerous or just another way to get food in their belly. By that logic, the types of pokemon are very natural and based off of animals, as opposed to objects or technical devices.
In The Kingdom of Olivine, grass and water Pokemon can be found. In The Kingdom of Goldenrod, fire and rock Pokemon can be found. And in The Kingdom of Fuchsia, flying and psychic Pokemon can be found.

Rules and Submitting a CS:
Be active in the OOC, have discussions, brainstorm, debate shit. I don't care as long as we can all be active and know we're alive and posting eventually. I believe an active OOC leads to an equally active IC. We're here to have fun, develop characters and romp around some woods right?
Your character will be recruited by my NPC named Nelwa. Nelwa will be in the area and witness your character and its pokemon doing something heroic/brave. Nelwa will mention that she's been looking for more recruits and offers your character the chance to join. The only other way is that your character seeks out Nelwa and insists they have what it takes to be a Warden.
Be aware a good chunk of the story will be traveling and doing side quests. If you get bored easily, this may not be for you. There will be action and combat but this is more about development than always finding a battle to win.
Your Pokemon shouldn't take the majority of your post. This is about your Warden, the Pokemon are minor but still important.
If you're busy or need to drop, tell us. If you need to drop or take an extended leave, write your character to the side so we can move on smoothly.
This RP takes the form of Rounds. When I post, one begins and everyone is free to post whenever they want but only once. As soon as everyone else has posted, I will post and a new Round begins. This ensures people don't fall behind or get ignored. It does mean a slower pace usually but if a player ends up missing more than two Rounds, they will be asked to write their character to the side because we can't keep waiting on one person constantly, if it hurts the group's progress.
You're expected to submit a logical character meaning their backstory is realistic (not too perfect or too depressing) which takes into account their age, skills and personality. I don't want to see loners who joined to just kill things because that's not going to get accepted. Nor am I going to accept characters who clearly have questionable morals. I'm not saying that every Warden must have a heart of gold but if someone might sellout a fellow friend in a dire situation, I'll voice my concern right away. If your character is into stealing or a killer for hire, make sure it's not to the point that trust and respect can't be given to them. Be smart.
Also, be smart about your Pokemon choice. No legendaries or rare ones, none with silly names or questionable purpose. The point of the Companion is help its Master either be healing, making fire for camp, producing water for drinking, using leaves or rocks to camouflage the group when in danger, etc. I'm not requiring us to keep track of move sets, levels or stats but you should give an overview of their capabilities and when they met, etc.
Finally, no one is going to be the same type of Warden but if two submit under the same, I'll pick whichever will work for the RP and the one who doesn't get picked is more than welcome to change their CS and ask me to look it over again. Also, I would love it to be a balance of male and female Wardens if possible. At any rate, I'll be busy fleshing out the region and setting up different quests so feel free to submit a CS in the meantime. If you need information about a location I haven't gotten to yet, just post here!

I've been binge watching LAO SVU for quite some time and I finally managed to get (mostly, as I'm sure there are older episodes I've missed on tv reruns) caught up this weekend. Procedural shows have been a guilty pleasure for me. From CSI Miami to Criminal Minds, these sorts of shows have been interesting as well as engaging. I even took a Criminology class three years back in college and even interviewed an FBI agent who worked with gangs in the state where I live (CA). Even so, I'm not trying to make this RP all about the paperwork or accuracy of terminology/ Frankly, I have better things to do than make sure my character's dialogue or jargon is correct and it takes the fun out of the RP itself. Be that as it may, I expect my partner to have seen the show enough to feel comfortable with the basic premise, practices and themes.
In the OOC, we'll be able to discuss things like interviews, trials, etc. We should both be contributing to the story as well as its progress.
For me, this boils down to the characters, more than the political/justice system.
There will be serious themes and situations. Since this is the SVU crime division, there will be rape, underage involvement, drug use, domestic abuse etc. Let me make this clear: we will not depict these actual events in the IC. We will not show someone under the legal age having sex. We will not break the rules of the Guild or whatever law that states we cannot show even an underage character doing illegal things. Even so, they will be discussed in the IC through our characters. And if for some reason mature themes need to be explored in depth, discussion will be moved to PMs. If a Mod at any point asks us to move off-site or to PM, we should comply.
Now enough of that, I'm sure some of you are wondering about the plots and characters. Thanks to its procedural element, each case could be used as a chapter/part of the RP. We don't need to do consecutive cases, we can focus on work outside the office with suspects, victims, police, etc. I would like us to stick to the main cast of canon characters but there will be OC roles we'll also need to take care of. These OCs can be other officers but for the majority, they will be involved in the cases as victims/suspects/parents/friends/teachers/etc. This RP will call for a lot of juggling in terms of characters, if you wish to do that. Otherwise we can focus on only 2-4 characters and have minor OCs fill in gaps for the plots.
And because this is our own project, we should feel free to bring back old characters or even do a crossover every once in a while (though I am not really caught up on anything else nor am I am a fan of Chicago PD or anything else the show worked with).
Roles are totally negotiable. as we should both be happy with who we're playing or sharing.
Below are the roles I can play or share with someone:
Olivia Benson John Munch Odafin Tutuola Casey Novak Melinda Warner Amanda Rollins Nicholas Amaro Dominick Carisi, Jr George Huang
And below are the roles I'd love my partner to be able to handle:
Rafael Barba Amanda Rollins Elliot Stabler Donald Cragen Alexandra Cabot George Huang Odafin Tutuola Dominick Carisi, Jr Casey Novak
Like I mentioned above, if my partner is interested in a smaller focus I have listed some pairs I'd be interested in focusing on with romantic themes along with the plots we make for cases. I am open to suggestion as well as doubling, of course.
Rafael Barba x Olivia Benson
Dominick Carisi, Jr x Rafael Barba
Odafin Tutuola x Amanda Rollins
Nicholas Amaro x Olivia Benson
John Munch x Amanda Rollins
Elliot Stabler x Olivia Benson
George Huang x Melinda Warner
Olivia Benson x Amanda Rollins
Whoever offers to do either a large scale RP with multiple characters we share/write as or a smaller, more focused story about two or four main characters, they should be able to contribute to ideas and direction. The bad guy doesn't always get put in jail, just like justice isn't also served for the victims. For anyone worried about a lack of ideas, let me remind you there's undercover work, cyber crimes, family affairs, etc. I'm sure there will be plenty of ways for us to develop characters while also having fun (even with our heavy topics).
If you are interested and want to talk more, post here or PM me. I am less likely to be prompt with PMs though. I am also busy with three English classes which are all requiring a lot more reading, than writing (if I could do more writing, I'd be online more often).
That's good, better to get away from stress and all kinds of negativity. I hope you find another job but it's good you have people who look out for you. Sadly not everyone is as lucky.
Awesome, I'll quickly set up a 1x1x1 thread for us and we can all just repost what we have with some edits (in regards to there being less Wardens). I may still stick to the two I have but if you guys want to add another or even tweak what your guy OCs, that's fine. I'll be sure to tag you both in the OOC.
