Demon Daydreams and Schemes

Don't worry, it looks good to me.

My semester kicks back up Monday so let's try to get the other posts up before then. While I'd like to wait until then to post, I think I'll get something up this afternoon to answer the questions. If the others just vanish, so be it but if they have questions, they can still be addressed another time but this is kind the 'grace period' for a back and forth with questions and answers with everyone around. If people don't take advantage of it, I'm not gonna hound em about it.

So yeah, expect a post from me soon, it won't be much but we probably won't do much else tonight so if you're going to post after me, keep in mind we'll be moving to the next morning soon and will be heading over to look at the requests posted.

i think either one could be applied to someone of royalty. I do think the first might be the easiest way for us to play two royal siblings, and the second could be our commoner duo who could still be in close ties with the royalty on that side? What do you think?

I think it takes effect when spoken or written down so pretty much any attempt at communicating. They can speak of the demon in the first world but once you leave, you can't. So there are ways to get to it in this world but no one really knows about the hidden portals. But I think the game's point of the curse was to signify that it was hard to trust someone labeled as a traitor when they're claiming there's a different evil afoot when they don't have proof nor can really outright explain themselves. So I think that was meant to add to the tension and overall commanding power of the demon.

So I guess to explain it somewhat better...the twins (who are working apart from one another on opposite sides) would need to first take your characters to the other world in order to fully explain what's going on. Once they know and go back to the present world, none of them would be able to speak directly about the demon, other world, curse, etc. But going back, you're free to talk, etc. Does that help? So when recruiting new people, it might not always be possible to go to the world if a portal isn't close by, so some trust or lack there of, would be playing into some dynamics.

We'll probably have to see how the group goes but this is my only week off between my semesters, so I'd rather keep things moving now than in a few weeks. But Yokai Watch is on tv right now...it's tempting. I'll probably have to get back to you next week to see how we're handling things. :3

The four of us wouldn't be siblings, but the first too would be, like the last two would be.

Okay so this is gonna be loosely inspiring by Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation.

We've got two kingdoms who were once living side by side in peace, but have sunk into a seven year war. Pride has taken the lives of many across the land as both sides fight, but fail to recall as to how or why the war even started. Unbeknownst to the fighters on both sides, the rulers are being controlled by a demon from another world who travels from world to world, raining destruction upon its lands in order to fuel its own life force. The two kingdoms continue to fight as innocent people are left to fend for themselves. Two siblings have traveled from another world where the demon has already conquered, to try and save this world from the demonic fate that oppresses and deceives.

We will take the form of a small sized group of fighters who have put aside their personal differences in order to try and fight both sides of the war in order to reveal the true enemy, the demon. I will be playing both twins and probably 1-2 side roles when I want to give one or two twins a rest. I'd rather us mix things up than get too comfortable with our in-character dynamics and I think carefully managing the posts so they don't get out of hand, will be a good way to ensure we don't get bored or tired of writing.

So we've got magic, certain characters who can turn into beasts with the use of a rune, we've got characters who can ride stuff and characters who can slice through bone.

So my two twins will be established in each side of the kingdoms (Nohr and Hoshido, think of Hoshido like feudal Japan and Norh a bit more British ish in style). But you can google to see what I mean there. So I have some ideas as to how best integrate my characters with yours. And if something looks good to you, great, otherwise, we can keep brainstorming. And I'm keeping gender out of the ideas, to keep things more simple but they'll be one of each so whichever we decide goes where, is fine with me. I'm not picky.

- One of the twins is one of your character's servants or retainers. The twin was selected by your character at a young age, thanks to my character's skill in...whatever they do.

- One of the twins is younger sibling to one of yours, peppy and encouraging.

- One of the twins is a childhood friend of yours but instead of being a retainer of sorts, they joined the army to become a knight (or something) and have recently reunited to bring the issue to light.

- One of the twins is maid/butler who serves an NPC sibling who refuses to listen to my character's warning. But when they don't listen, your character does and mine leaves with them to gather more people.

I'm not sure if I should bring this up since I feel like I'm throwing information at you and we're not sure which we're keeping and discarding but...why not? The world the twins come from has a curse and if you speak of the demon, say it's name or anything relating to the lost world, you vanish forever. So we could have the twins take the group there (or have taken them there prior to use starting) to reveal the truth. I think the point of that is to make it hard to convince others since 'proof' isn't easy to have when you're just being vague about some other enemy. So we can use that or not but I thought I'd mention it to see what you thought.

I'm done rambling.

But hey, it's great we're getting the old band back together! I still have better hopes for our Yokai Watch thing, I'd almost rather do a 1z1 out of that but hey, fantasy is our thing. And this should be fun too. XD

While it was evident that she and her partner had differing ideas when it came to new members, Fracture tried not to let that dissuade her from working with the guy. She wanted to be able to rely on his support and knew getting into a debate over how you could enjoy the game would be futile, if not counter productive. She glanced to where Spectre was as he brought up what they could do now. He mentioned how his schedule looked with work and how his weekend seemed to be pretty clear, all things considered.

When he was finished filling her in, she gave him a nod of acknowledgement.

"Well I don't have a lot on my plate, I just moved back to town so there is an adjustment period and all." She mentioned to him as it seemed like he was reading something. A message or flash mail perhaps. She shrugged, not sure what else to say. "I may log off tonight, I am a bit tired..." She thought back to her own plans with James and knew she was looking forward to that. She was determined to keep her online life and her offline one separate. The last thing Sasha wanted to do was become a zombie who sacrificed her life for some virtual one, as fun as it was.

So for now, Fracture wanted to keep things pretty vague and she had a feeling her partner wouldn't mind one way or another. "Why don't we meet up tomorrow night? I have plans with a friend tomorrow afternoon but it shouldn't dip into the evening too much." She mentioned to him. She and James were going to meet up for lunch and just hang out. Since they were still trying to get used to one another again, she figured it was best to keep things pretty casual between them.

"Maybe we can show one another around our respective haunts? You'll have to see my hideaway." She smiled a little to him, her pink hair brushing against her cheek as she tilted her head back a little. Normally only certain players could go in certain designated areas which corresponded with their class and level but thanks to the new Quest in place, players can now have more freedom thanks to their new teammate. And since she now had Spectre's information, she and him could pair up and have a lot more access to places otherwise sectioned off to Mythics or Mechanics. It was an interesting experiment, that was for sure.

Since it seemed like Spectre was on board with the plan of sorts, she gave a wave before she logged out, her slender avatar evaporating into tiny golden pixels. Sasha got up from her desk and grabbed her planner. Now that she was thinking of it, she wrote down her plans for tomorrow night and just put 'Meet up with S.' While she could easily keep track of dates and events in her phone, she liked holding something in her hands better. The weight of a planner was something classic and irreplaceable.

The next morning came and Sasha had the rare pleasure in getting to sleep in. She woke up around 9:30 and made herself some toast and tea for breakfast. She didn't want to eat too much since she and James were going to try a ramen place that had been getting great reviews in the city. Sasha took a shower and changed into a pair of back jeans a long navy blue sweater which reached her thighs. She slipped on some sneakers and headed out the door and headed off to meet James, not sure why she still felt a little nervous.
