Aww you're too sweet. Though I have come across a lot of HP fans recently who are all about the canon romances. It boggles my mind...urgh.

The SasuHina was done before the events of Shippuden. Hell, I was going to back and refresh myself with Naruto's events up to when Sasuke left since that's still all a huge blur. Was there an incident in Shippuden that allowed Sasuke and Hinata to cross paths? And a lot of folks in my workshop class were talking about how lame Naruto ended and how the ending sucked ass. I tried to tune it out as best I could. NaruIno would be nice, plus they could all go on fun double dates I don't see Sasuke going on double dates, even with Naruto and Ino. Though the images are enough to make me audibly chuckle. XD I'd be happy to try either pair down the line though, you know I can't stray from a challenge...aka all the pairs!

And glad you liked my plan, I played off some some of your suggestions too. :3 Sakura and Shikamaru will surely be put on spot quickly. Ino is gonna ask them all sorts of questions like how long they've been dating, etc. Hopefully not long so Sakura can quickly say they're not comfortable showing PDA. Ino is gonna be pretty interested in the sudden romance and I'm sure that's what Shikamasu is after...for the time being. XD
No no it's fine. And yes, I'd like to think we are. Still this I'm thinking yes? We may need to rehash some details, I still need my sheets...
Tsubaki had flipped the question around after she addressed with sweet simplicity. "Ahh well I wanted to be more social for my last year. I spent the last two years working part-time so I thought I should use this last year to have some fun and maybe provide a bit of musical inspiration to the drama club." He smiled to her. Kosuke was hoping this final year of high school would be a smooth one, but would also be his year to shine as a violinist. He was ready for more responsibilities and to juggle them all with ease. He couldn't help but want to stretch his ambitious reach a little further each day.

Mina gave a loud laugh as Sho gave a heavy sigh to her assumption. "Oh come on!" Mina shouted extra loud to draw the gaze a few people around them. "Be a gentleman for once!" She teased him. Kosuke shook his head at the pair and gave a sympathetic look to Tsubaki who also had to endure the loud company of the group. "Don't be mean. Be niiiiice." Mina laughed and nudged Sho, trying to egg him on. Of course she would love him to treat her but she could also pay for herself if need be. She just wanted to see if she could get Sho to treat the gang. "How 'bout this Sho-Sho, each outing one of us picks a place to check out and treats the gang? That's right, this has gotta be a tradition now." She said.

"A tradition?" Kosuke tilted his head, not sure if he followed her enthusiastic logic. If he could consider it logic. Still, he sounded like a fun way to get them to hang out, outside of school and the club. "I suppose I could get behind that idea..." Of course he was sure they would end up finding a lot of cheap places to eat but it could be fun seeing more of the area with folks his own age, instead of other violinists who happened to be a bit younger than him, as he was on the outer edge of musicians in his age bracket. "What about you?" He was about to see what Tsubaki thought when they finally arrived at the shop in question.

Without waiting, Mina hurried inside and looked at the handwritten menu. There were specials and the option to create your own rice ball. She licked her lips and swung her head back over her shoulder, giving Sho a doe eyed look. If he didn't want to pay for all of them, she understood, she had put him on the spot and she had honestly been joking. But then a sudden idea had struck her and she wondered if that would be something he might be interested in doing. "I could pick the next spot." She offered, further implying she'd like him to treat the group. Mina thought the ramen onigiri looked good while Kosuke was eyeing one with picked plums, carrots and ginger. It looked refreshing.
Making her way back towards the hospital, she didn't get very far before someone called out to her.

"Huh?" Sakura turned around and saw Shikammaru hurry towards her. "Shikamaru...?" The ninja wasn't sure what he wanted with her. She gave him a sideways look, not sure if she was really who he was looking for. Not to mention he seemed a little stressed or even in a hurry, which wasn't like him at all. She began to worry about his health be it mental or physical. Was he okay? Was he in trouble? Was there some kind of emergency? Shikamaru went on to ask if he could walk with her. She gave a stiff nod, still not sure what his intentions were but she told herself if it was something urgent, he would have already gotten to the point. "Sure, I'd enjoy the company." Ever since Naruto and Sasuke parted ways with the village, she had missed being a team, had missed her friends dearly so even a small visit with Shikamaru would be very much welcomed.

The pair began to walk a slightly slower pace than Sakura was used to. She glanced to Shikamaru, her hands clasped behind her back, her right hand lightly grasping her left wrist. "What's on your mind?" The genius was clearly consumed with some kind of issue and if he sought her out she would do whatever she could to help. Sure, they weren't exactly friends but she didn't think they were strangers either. When Shikamaru began to say he had been thinking about a girl, a slight dread began to fall atop her shoulders. 'He doesn't mean me right? He couldn't mean me! That's insane!' She kept a straight face as her Inner Self was beginning to worry.

He finally mentioned who he had a crush on. Ino.

'Of course it's Ino.

Her brief moment of feeling insulted was brushed aside. 'I mean...thank god, it's Ino. She thought and shook her head. Sakura kpt her eyes on Shikamaru as they walked, passing through a series of vendors as they neared the village's hospital. She felt a little sorry for the guy. As much as Sakura loved Ino's friendship, Ino could be so stubborn and at times shallow. Part of her wanted to tell Shikamaru to just give up and that he could find someone better than Ino, someone he'd be better suited for, personality wise. But he had determination and that's was struck her the most. He was such a lazy, laid back, casual guy that for him to want to try and make Ino happy was a real interesting turn of events.

Shikamaru looked off, blushing. He quickly looked off and finished, expressing a need for Sakura to offer advice or to even probe Ino's brain on his behalf. Sakura stopped walking as they stood outside the hospital. She was sure Ino was already inside, tending to some of their regular patients. "You really sound lovesick. I think it's sweet that you want to really try to make Ino happy." Sakura placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort him. "But I already know what she thinks about you...I mean there's a lot of downtime so your name is bound to come up." Sakura offered him a small smile. It wasn't good news for the Chunin. "She kinda views you as a...brother. Like you two bicker but then make up."

Sakura knew that was the last thing Shikamaru wanted to hear but it was the truth, Ino just didn't view Shikamaru as boyfriend material. On one hand, Sakura couldn't blame Ino. Shikamaru was a slacker who had tons of potential but it often went unused. His looks were fine but if he kept comparing himself to Sasuke, that would be a losing battle. "You know...if she saw you dating someone, it might make her view of you change? I think that would get her to consider dating you, get her intrigued and show that you can be attentive and considerate." She removed her hand from his shoulder and gave a shrug, not sure if he'd be up for dating someone when he had feelings for Ino but it was all she could come up with on the spot. "I need to get going but I'll talk to and see if I can nudge her in your direction, just be sure you want Ino, she can be quite a handful." She winked playfully and waved before she jogged up to the hospital's entrance and headed inside to report to Tsunade.
XD A one shot Harry x Hermione would be fucking beautiful you know. Maybe someday when one of these are finished. *dreamy sigh*

And no no no your post was a great, your message got across well, don't worry! I feel bad for the other guys being compared to Sasuke who's a 'hunk' though someday I wanna make SasuHina happen if you're still game, I did it with that one girl and found it utterly awful but I think with you, it would be less of a trainwreck.

I was thinking (without having read the OOC while lurking) Sakura would already know how Ino feels about Shikamaru. I mean girls do gab when they've got free time and I am sure they've talked about Sasuke leaving is such a shame and how they're kinda getting over him or trying to, at least. I was thinking she'd be quick to just relay to Shikamaru how Ino views him like a brother or close pal, but no inclination of romantic feeling, but she could then as you suggested with option A, mention he could date someone else and maybe catch Ino's eye. I don't think either could come to the conclusion on the spot about them pretending to date.

I think Sakura could suggest them dating but it may be a stretch since 'it' itself is a stretch. I like the idea of Sakura parting with Shikamaru, letting him think about dating someone (real or not) to figure out his feelings for Ino and to make her look at Shikamaru differently. I think the idea of Ino prompting Sakura to lie on the spot would be pretty funny. I think after work Sakura would rush to Shikamaru's place before Ino gets there (cause you know she's gonna wanna find Shikamaru and find out what's going on with him and Sakura for realz) and say he now owes her for covering for him and that they're now pretending to date. Maybe Ino gets there two minutes later and expresses her surprise?

That wouldn't happen all in my reply of course but it's a good thought. I think?

EDIT - Got you a post, I figured I'll put Ino in my reply when I also skip to after work? Maybe Shikamaru could go to the bookstore and see if he could read up on dating? Otherwise he could hang out at his house until Sakura comes over? Unless we wanted to go a different route than I mentioned above. :3
The post frenzy was impressive. XD I sir applaud you. I couldn't have done such a spree.

Aww Mako and Asami, communicating like normal people who aren't in an anime/show.
Woooo, Kurama to the rescue! I felt so bad about Botan saying all that...really, it was a tough post to make. :/

We could totally use some fluff though I don't know if any can come until after she tries to drown herself? And Botan is going to feel real bad about offending Shiori. There may be a brief moment of 'relapse' in which she for a moment breaks through the depression/demon's hold over her but I don't think it would be anything big. I think if we skipped to the next day, that would be good. I could lead us in at the end of my post. Botan is probably going to throw a hissy fit and go to bed. Urgh, parents just don't understand. XD
Everything stretched out before her was just beyond her reach, ever so slightly. As much as Rose tried to extend her fingers, nothing could be felt. She was floating in the middle of outer space in a glittering nebula where stars watched her circle an unknown teal colored planet. She was caught in its gravitational pull and yet somehow she felt safe, if not somewhat restless. Her voice could reach no one, her hands reached nothing. And yet, the blond woman felt at home, felt calm. Her eyes closed but then suddenly snapped open as the beep beep beep of her alarm snapped her out of orbit. A hand flailed outward from its warm cocoon. She swiped on her phone and the jarring alarm was soon silenced. Pushing herself up, Rose Tyler found herself back on planet Earth, no longer in the middle of some unknown but alluring abyss.

Pushing the covers off of her, she sat up and looked out the window to her right. Already she saw fellow students hurrying to class or to the gym. Everyone had somewhere to be it seemed. The warm spring day beckoned and Rose knew she had her own places calling her name. She slipped out of her pajamas and into a pair of light blue jeans and a Union Jack tee shirt Mickey had given her for Christmas. She brushed out her long hay colored hair and stepped out of her dorm room into the living room which she shared with two other girls. Had Rose not decided to go to university, she would still be living at home back in London with her mum, probably still working at a local clothing shop. But Rose had gotten tired of a dull existence and dragged her 'sort of' boyfriend Mickey back to school, him doing a bit of kicking and screaming along the way.

But Rose was glad to be back in school, even if she wouldn't admit it to anyone.

She was able to take gymnastics for a class and get credit doing she loved. She was also taking a Shakespeare class that focused on the romantic tragedies and a course on the American Civil War, along with a Physics class. The physics class was not of her choosing but one she had to take because the university required it for her to graduate. It was a load of rubbish but she hunkered down and did her best. Mickey decided to sign up and help Rose struggle but so far all he had done was flirt with all the girls in the lecture hall. Her cell phone rang before she could get too far down the steps leading down to one of the many courtyards in the Cardiff campus. "Yeah? Mum, morning morning. I just got up, about to grab some breakfast." She paused as her mother began to complain about the person who was renting the room which used to belong to Rose. "I-I dunno...what do you want me to do? I have class this afternoon."

"I'll pop over tonight or something. I'll try." She offered her mother, finding it far too early the morning to be dealing with this kind of nonsense. "I gotta go, gotta meet Mickey for breakfast. I love ya, bye." Rose hung up and shoved her phone back in the back pocket of her jeans and head off to the school's cafeteria where she and Mickey met most mornings to go over homework and study together, but mostly they just chatted and people watched, laughing at other people and hoping no one noticed. It was nine in the morning which meant most folks were in their morning classes which allowed Rose to easily spot her friend in the thin crowd of hungry young adults. He waved her over and she skipped over to him. "You look cheery." He commented as he pushed a cup of tea towards the blond girl. "I dunno, today just feels...good." She beamed at him and sat down.

Taking a sip of the tea, she made a face. "Eww, too much sugar." She scrunched up her face and grabbed for one of the small cherry filled pastries he ha gotten for breakfast. "We've known each other forever but you still don't know how to make my tea." She teased him as she went for another flaky treat but found her hand playfully slapped by Mickey. "Oy, if you're not nice to me, you don't get any!" He protested. Rose let out a fake huff and sat back, her arms tightly folding over her chest as they stared at each other. After only ten seconds of pretend-awkward silence, they burst into laughter. He gestured for Rose to help herself and she happily did so. "I've got gymnastics in a bit but save me a spot in Physics if I'm a little late, I want to try an' shower before class." She said as she grabbed her phone and checked the time.

Mickey gave Rose a hug before watching her leave.

Like Rose, he lived on campus but on the other side. The blond haired girl headed back to her dorm and grabbed her change of clothes and hurried back to the gym where her class took place. It was only a few weeks into the new semester but already she had made a few friends who were also passionate about gymnastics. In terms of her future, she didn't necessarily see herself doing gymnastics at the professional level. That would just be work in her mind, no fun there. She wasn't sure if she wanted to teach or get into something more technical with computers or programming. Mickey said coding and engineering were gonna be big in a few years but that didn't interest her much either. But it was a question that continued to pop up in the forefront of her mind every now and then:

What did she want to do with life?

It seemed as though everyone else around her knew that they were going to do. It almost felt like she was struggling to tread water and not drown. Still, all Rose could do was take it one day at a time. One dream at a time. One breath at a time. She changed into her tight fitting leotard which was bright pink and went to stretch a few of her mates. They chatted about how the weekend had gone, what movies they saw, or how many pubs they had crawled through. Rose was talkative as usual, chiming in with how she and Mickey caught the Chelsea match when they were supposed to be studying. In her defense, Mickey had practically dragged her to the pub. Once the two-hour gymnastics class wrapped up, Rose saw she had ten minutes before physics. She said bye to everyone and dashed back to her dorm and hurried up the steps.

One of her roommates was back, laying on the couching snogging her latest boy-toy with The Killers on in the background. Rose was quick to move past them as she ducked into the bathroom and turned on the shower. She was quick to wash off and sneak into her single room and get changed back into her previous clothes, her Union Jack shirt and jeans. She didn't have time to dry her hair so she just braided it quickly as she walked to class, letting it rest against her upper back. Rose's phone buzzed as she neared the science department. She pulled it out, assuming it was Mickey to give her a heads up on what was happening in class which was starting in less than a minute.

As it turned out, Mickey said there was a notice on the chalkboard from the school which said their teacher had to leave for a family emergency and as such, they had found a replacement for the time being and that they may be a little tardy and to not leave class. Rose let out a sigh of relief, knowing she had a few minutes to catch her breath. She wandered over to one of the snack machines and put in a few coins and soon a pack of crisps fell down and she reached in to retrieve them. It was around lunchtime and it would have to do. She popped them open and pulled out a single salted crisp and took a bite. "Mmm that hits the spot." She dug a few more out, suddenly feeling rather hungry.

Once she finished the bag, she felt a sudden guilt pang within her heart. Perhaps she should have saved some for Mickey? Rose rubbed her neck and turned back to face the vending machine and and bought another bag, hoping to ease some of the guilt that had momentarily plagued her. She headed back towards the science building but out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a lost looking bloke with a leather jacket. She checked the time and paused. She was already late for class but according to Mickey, so was their mysterious substitute so if she helped the guy, she probably wouldn't be in too much trouble. How long could it take to point some lost looking guy towards the Student Services building?

"Oy!" She called out to the man and jogged over to him, her pink and teal sneakers scuffing against the soft pavement that had been kissed by a light rain last Friday afternoon. She came up to him and looked at him up and down. He looked quite young to be someone's father but still, she wouldn't rule anything out yet. Rose glanced around, not many were rambling around as they were probably at the cafeteria eating or eating off-campus to save some money or something. "You lost? Well, you look lost." She gave a slightly shrug and small smile. She glanced down to the pack of crisps in her hand and then to the tall man who seemed to be eyeing them. Maybe he was just broke and homeless?

No...he would have reeked if he had just come from behind a petrol station.

Rose held out the bag of salted crisps. "Here, you can have these. You look like you don't eat much." She offered to him. She shuffled through her small backpack where she kept her useless books and papers. She finally found what she had been looking for. A banana. "You can have this too, I was savin' it for class but I reckon you need it more than I do." She laughed softly as she zipped her backpack back up and slipped it back over her other shoulder. "So...you never told me your name. Oh well neither did I." She realized. "I'm Rose, Rose Tyler. What building were you looking for? It's not a massive campus but most buildings look the same so getting lost does happen, even more so after a few beers; my mate Mickey once tried stumbling into the girls dorm, that did not end well for him." She joked lightly.
The worst is pretty much over. Thank god. I have 1 week of real class left but I only have one essay to go and it's not too bad. So yeah you guys still game? XD

Hello all.

I am currently seeking a skilled writer who is interested in diving deep into the past, back to 1888 or thereabouts.

I play male and female characters and would prefer if we doubled though it is not a requirement.

I would ideally like to roleplay Sherlock Holmes within the movieverse starring Law and Downey. That isn't set in stone however, if we can come to an agreement and create our own OCs that follow the same premise of detectives in the same era, I would be quite happy to do so. I may even be open to adding a dash of supernatural/fantasy if that would excite you a little more than just a straight period piece with solving cases. Still, at the root of this would be solving small cases and building a world and characters, as such whoever joins me on this quest should be capable of suggesting new directions to go in. This is a collaborative effort after all.

Mature concepts like sex, drugs, murder, etc will surely be involved though it depends how heavy we want to go.

While I did put an emphasis on Sherlock Holmes, I would be capable of playing Holmes and Mary, in turn I would be looking for a Watson and possibly an Irene. I would also be open to crossing this over with Harry Potter or Doctor Who.

Since this is Advanced, I do expect someone who can give roughly 4-7 paragraphs at least once a week, we're all busy and I don't expect posts to rain down from the heavens.

If interested, shoot me a PM or post here, I'm nonplussed.
