Man look at how cool the addisions are.

Dae: "Not so cool. They still owe me payment for the last favour I did for them."
Rules? What rules? :P
@Genni Looks okay, just keep in mind that the Erkani can even take the form of other alien races, and be fairly convincing.

What level of shapeshifting do Erkani possess?

1 - Camoflague: Retain their shape and size, but can alter their outward appearance to disguise themselves as other members of their own race or physiologically similar ones (e.g. any humanoid race.)

2 - Form shifting: Retain their basis shape (number of limbs, etc.) but can change their size to take on new forms.

3 - Zoological transformation: Can transform into the shape of any known creature, but only gain the attributes the physical form would provide (gills = breathe underwater, wings = flight, etc.)

4 - Full mimickry - Can transform themselves into any known lifeform, and gain all attributes and abilities native to that lifeform (psionics, cultural bonuses, etc.) Can transform into basic machines with moving parts, but not chemical, electrical or radiological components.

5 - Fluid form: Their true form is a liquid mass, and they can reshape themselves into any shape at will. They can mimic any individual close enough to fool close friends and family. Can form complex machines and devices.

How easy is Erkani shapeshifting? Could Dae dodge around a corner and moments later step back in a completely different form, or would she have to 'cocoon' herself for several hours or days to metamorphose into a new form? Could she shapeshift her limbs during combat to form weapons?
All nice happy politicians, with absolutely no hidden blades and poisoned chalices? Sounds fun. :D
As long as I get to grow a tentacle or two, I'm interested. :D

If you're in need of a fixer to fix up fixings I'd be fixed to fix that. :D
Are you ever gonna let me live that down?

Probably not. :p

...does upgrade effect our XP bonus from com-links?

No, it only affects stat boosts and status effect durations which are derived from carried equipment. So if you use the Stun Baton on someone while Ironside's around they'd be affected for five turns rather than the usual one.
do we need to be near ironside prime to retain upgraded status, or do all of her clones sound as signal boosters?

All the clones provide the bonus as well as Ironside herself, although the effect doesn't stack so you still only get the one boost (otherwise by this point you'd be getting +16 for the buff and that'd just be ridiculous.) As long as you're within range (about half a kilometer) of any of the Ironsides you'd still benefit from the effect.

The clones are all exact duplicates of Ironside, with the same skills, traits, abilities, personality, memories, sexual proclivities, strange fascination with Frank Sinatra and everything else which makes her an individual, apart from the fact they're fake copies who only 'live' for a few minutes at a time.

PS: You don't get scantily clad cheerleader robots until the boss fight, so Rocksmith has time to charge up his fireballs and roast them all.
