We still are technically open, but we only have demigod slots. But given the recent influx of demigod characters, we're just trying to get those worked out and integrated into the RP. I think for the moment we'll not be accepting any more demigods until the ones we have in the making get comfortable in the IC

Summary :
After some days of travel, Team 3 is wandering around. Both are sent on a mission to bring down or capture a missing nin that had murdered his parents, after which he tried to spark a conflict between the Cloud and the Fire Union .

Launching the trap!

Her mind was racing to find a solution to this problem, the spores had been close enough for her to have to worry about them and her clone had moved forwards some. Having of heard what Satoshi-Sensei said she nodded and glanced to the missing nin with a perplexed look on her face, she knew that her chakra would eventually run out and continuously going underground would exhaust her so there had to be another way, maybe she could change the labyrinth, that might work. Give him a false way to go that would lead to a trap, it could work. She took a deep breath and then focused her chakra as she changed the labyrinth, creating a way out for him temporairily but also forcing him to head towards the scroll if he did not want to get hit by an earth wall.

Imbueing the blade with chakra again, Satoshi would run to the right, leaping to land against the wall. It was clear that the man's attention was focused on him and that he didn't seem to be willing to even try to get out of the labyrinth of Hanako. Though he was a bit worried about her chakra reserves, he kept up with his movement as he would try to use another Flash, to drive the man into giving an opening to Hanako. With sharp wave of chakra was soaring towards the missing nin, who managed to duck underneath it and wanted to close in the distance with Satoshi. However, both men were taken a bit by surprise as they noticed a change in their surroundings. A way out? Satoshi thought, wondering for who it was. But as he turned his head to look back, he had to leap away as the missing nin had thrown several kunai towards Satoshi, while he started to run to the path that Hanako had created. Landing on the ground, Satoshi made a quick roll, after which he swiftly went on his on feet. Turning to see how the missing nin created distance, Satoshi threw a glance at Hanako, wondering what she was planning.

By time the labyrinth had finished its change, Hanako was underground as she tracked the missing nin as he continued to put distance between them. The clone followed after him on foot as it continued to drive the missing nin down the path towards the scroll and where the real Hanako waited at the dead end of the path. The clone began throwing kunai and closed some distance just as the scroll detected his chakra signature as the mud wolves formed the from the ground lunging at the missing nin.

Deciding to follow the clone, who he thought to be the real Hanako, Satoshi noticed that the missing nin turned and leaped backwards to try to keep an eye on them. He already pulled out several kunai and aimed them towards both Hanako's clone and Satoshi. With a quick grab, Satoshi would throw several shuriken to intercept the thrown weapons of the missing nin. The sound of steel clashing against each other rang in the air just before the trap of Hanako was activated. Satoshi halted as he noticed the technique and understood now what she had planned.

Muttering curses, the missing nin moved back as the mud wolves were approaching him. He had thrown three kunai in order to bring two down, but even if they had hit their mark, the mud wolves reformed and started to charge at him again. Surprised for a moment, the man started to open his left hand as he was gathering chakra before he would throw a large gust to drive back some of the wolves. Seeing an opening, Satoshi decided to throw a few kunai to keep him occupied. Hopefully they could drive him further back and then capture him.

The mud wolves kept coming at the missing nin, the clone kept throwing its kunai and shuriken as it ran towards the missing nin. The missing nin was forced to go back more and more as the wolves closed in and the clone pressed closer to him, it would only be a few more paces before the nin was in capture range for Hanako. As the wolves kept lunging and snapping at him the more he went back until he was mere inches away from Hanako, she adjusted her position and then performed the handsignals for the technique that had failed to work before as the clone lunged at the same time the wolves did as the missing nin went down throwing kunai and causing some of the wolves to disperse before reforming. The real Hanako was now above ground as the missing nin now thrashed about.

Several projectiles had made some cuts as the man had a busy time both driving the mud wolves back as the thrown kunai and shuriken. Satoshi held back as he saw no need to waste chakra in an attempt to try to bring the man down. He was being driven with his back to the wall, slowly losing ground. He was briefly caught by surprise as he noticed how Hanako had managed to close in and was further more pressed into defense as he had expected an attack. At least, that was what Satoshi thought he was doing, until he caught the man forming several handsignals. Before he could give Hanako a warning, the missing nin slapped his hands together as he would create a sphere of wind around him, pushing what approached him back with a strong pressure. Readying himself, Satoshi moved in as he would fend off any potential further attack as he didn't want the man to try to land a hit on Hanako.

Her sensei was for the most part sucessful in keeping the attack from hitting her but some managed to hit her and she had to grit her teeth at the impact. "Any ideas, Satoshi-Sensei?" Hanako asked. At the moment she was out of her own ideas, her chakra was low and she was starting to feel low on energy as well. She did not enough chakra to change the labyrinth again, the mud wolves reformed and lunged as the remains of her rock clone lay scattered on the ground.

The missing nin was sliding backwards as he flipped his kunai to hold it in a reversed grip. Glancing at his student, Satoshi wasn't sure if they would be able to capture the man if they would try to keep going as they were going on now. The mud wolves were held back as their opponent's taijutsu was able to keep up with the mud creatures. Using the moment to catch some breath, Satoshi gained an idea. ''I'll force an opening. Then knock or pin him down.'' Satoshi calmly instructed her as he waited for a moment. The missing nin kicked a mud wolf away and ducked to avoid getting worked against the ground by another. As the man straightened his back and punched a third wolf at his muzzle, Satoshi moved in.

With another attempt of his Iaidō technique, he tried to aim a slash at the midsection of the opponent. Slashing the blade towards the side of his foe, their eyes locked as steel penetrated cloth, skin and flesh. Slowly blood started to flow out of the wound, that was on Satoshi's side as his attack had been blocked and the man had used his free hand to stab him with a kunai. Twisting his weapon, Satoshi groaned and cringed due the pain. Dropping his sword, he quickly grabbed the man by his wrists and tried to hold him in place. ''Hanako.''

Hanako nodded and prepared to launch one more attack on him, hoping it would work. The mud wolves reformed and lunged, making contact as Hanako saw the missing nin land a hit on her sensei. She almost dropped her technique to go help him when she heard him say her name and had to finish what she started, she became submerged underground and positioned herself under him as she tried to capture once more as she surfaced and the missing nin went down trying to get away.

Shouting at first curses, it was clear that man couldn't move as he was stuck in the ground. Glaring at the two, he kept throwing death threats at their adress. Glancing at his wounds, Satoshi frowned. Returning his attention back at the missing nin, he sighed. With a quick movement, Satoshi's right foot hit the side of the man's head. The effect was visible as the missing nin became somewhat dazed, but then was knocked out by another kick. ''Almost even.'' Satoshi muttered as he looked at Hanako. ''Good work.'' Right after his words, Satoshi then poofed away.

''Sorry if you were a bit worried.'' Dropping from wall, Satoshi had his hands stuffed in his pockets. He looked with a calm expression at the knocked and captured missing nin before back at Hanako. ''Was already doubting if I had to come out, but seeing you were doing a good job, I thought that sacrificing a shadow clone would be a better plan.'' Smiling, Satoshi glanced one more time at the missing nin.

She let her posture go a little slack at what he said, now that the missing nin was knocked out and no longer a problem for them at the time she glanced at her Sensei in time to see it poof away. A shadow clone? "I guess if it works then it does not matter how it is done," Hanako said. Nonetheless, she was glad it was over and done with.

''Hmmm.'' Satoshi pondered on it, but decided to not get philosphic. They had captured the missing nin as he wanted after noticing how oddly the man had behaved when they were tracking him down. Perhaps the intelligence division at Kumogakure could research why he had behaved so out of line. ''How are you?'' He asked. He had depleted almost half of his chakra reserves. Normally he didn't like to rely on shadow clones, but when the dust and snow had made a sort of make-shift screen, he saw the chance to create a trap with it. Walking towards the katana that the clone had dropped, Satoshi picked his weapon up and smoothly sheated back in its scabbard.

Should she have noticed the two chakra signatures? Maybe she would have been able to tell and form a better plan, but it was no bother now. "I just have a bit of chakra left, the Labyrinth took most of it," Hanako said. She performed the needed handsignals and watched as the huge walls of earth sunk back into the earth. "What about you?" she asked him. She dispersed the mud wolves and glanced to the missing nin.

''Nothing to complain about.'' He said, a bit cheerful. The mission was a success, he had been able to see how his student worked with a combat situation and was overal content. Even if he was still a bit worried and pondering on why the missing had not done what would be reasonable in his situation, Satoshi didn't see a reason to complain about any small details. ''Let's head back home.'' He said, pulling out some wire. It would be a good idea if they would make sure that the missing nin wouldn't be able to run away or cause any sort of trouble.[/hider]

Closing in!

Hanako sent her chakra into the ground as they halted and tried to find any chakra signatures but she could not find one for the time being. "I did not sense any chakra signatures," Hanako said. She stood there and watched Satoshi-Sensei before glancing around the pass. The Frost Country was on the other side and then once they were there she be in the Frost Country for the first time. Hanako always enjoyed going new places and meeting new people, especially on missions.

''Neither did I.'' Satoshi replied as he rubbed his neck. There was always the chance that there was somebody or a few out there. But for now he reasoned that they could relax a bit more. Moving his bag in front of him, Satoshi sighed. Opening the bag, he took out an apple and held it with his left hand. Closing and moving the bag to his back again, Satoshi took another look around. He was half trying to figure out where they were. There were all kinds of passes and it had been a while. Yet, he was a tad disappointed that he couldn't come up with which pass they were at. ''I reckon that we will need to buy some jacket or something at least warm once we are over the border.'' Satoshi thought out loud as he took a bite of his apple.

"It seems like you miss it here," Hanako said. She decided to eat something as well since she did not eat last night. Taking her pack off and finding a peach instead she took a bite. She looked around some to take in the scenery and searching for the plant life. She assumed that the plants would have adapted to the cold to survive here. Hanako took another bite of her peach and continued to look around. "Yes, I do not imagine our hands or arms will be much use to us if they are frozen," she said.

Satoshi slowly came to a halt as she said he seemed to miss it here. He certainly did. The calm and orderly countryside was much different from what he saw as a chaotic, rude and loud urban life. He placed his right hand on the handle of his blade, slowly unsheating the blade a bit out of its scabbard. ''Try to check your weapons now and then. The frost can sometimes make them stuck in their scabbard.'' Satoshi told her, a bit absent mindly. He tried to not fall into the well of memories of his training and time with the Black Guard corps. ''From this part, we'll not really have much trouble with the terrain. Just the cold.''

"Satoshi-Sensei, I do not have any specialized weapons.... But I can check the standard ones," Hanako said, she took out a few kunai at a time and carefully inspected them. She did notice the air around them certainly seemed to have more of a chill to it than the air closer to the village. Once she was done with all the kunai she moved on to the shuriken then proceeded to the rest of the metal and iron tools. "Everything is in working order, Sensei," she said.

Realizing that she indeed had no specialized weapons, Satoshi mentally cursed himself. Due the fact he had been distracted by his thoughts, he had just said something general. Deciding to concentrate on the mission, he started to lead them through the pass. ''Then no time to waste.'' He told her, flashing a smile as he glanced in her direction.

With a stern, Satoshi viewed the surrounding. Luckily they had the advantage that they were on a hill. Dressed in clothing that was more suitable for the cold. Luckily they hadn't wasted too much time and Satoshi was glad he wasn't the only sensor in the team. For almost half a day they were chasing the tracks of their target. Oddly enough, their target was more or less traveling around. It disturbed Satoshi a bit as he had suspected that the man wanted to try to make it to the border and try to hide somewhere among the border. It would be more easy to try go hiding there as patrolling shinobi from the Fire Union would rather act hostile towards a patrol of the Cloud, trying to get over the border. Sighing, Satoshi threw a sideways glance towards Hanako. ''Can you sense him?'' He asked her.

Her eyes seemed to brighten at his question, she knew she could try and maybe not suceed but she would always jump at any oppurtunity to use her sensory."Let me see," Hanako said in a cheery voice. With her eyes now closed, she sent her chakra into the ground and heard its hum in return. It took a minute, but she could sense him, he was on the edge of her range but close enough to make certain. "Yes I can, he is within my range," she said as her eyes snapped open.

Frowning, Satoshi was glad that she could sense him. It was more than great as they were thus closing in on the missing nin. But it didn't solve the question on why the man was acting like a chicken without a head. Running around and basically not going into hiding would just provoke that he would get shinobi getting send after him. Though it was clear they had to stay close, Satoshi wasn't sure if it would be wise to quickly close in. They had to be more cautious in case their target was up to something. ''Okay, considering that he is moving around and doesn't seem to have a clear goal, I propose that we'll try to move in close at a slow pace. In case he suddenly turns and thus comes towards us, that means he is either trying to attack us head on and we'll have time to prepare for it. In the other case, we can try to manouvre in a way that we'll force him into a pinch. Alrighty?'' Placing his right hand already on the handle of his weapon, Satoshi still was wondering why the man was behaving so weird. Lunactics these days.

"I think he might know we are here for him, if thats the case then maybe we should throw him off somehow," Hanako said, she talked slow as she said it due to her thinking her idea through as she said it. "If one of us, were to travel underground towards him while the other traveled above ground then the one underground could be used to surprise him, we could even make a clone so he still thinks there are two of us," she added. If she could get close enough to him she could trap him and get him cornered with Satoshi ready to attack.

Thinking about it, Satoshi then firmly nodded. ''That sounds good. I'll try to distract him while you will travel underground to try to corner him. I prefer to take him alive now, as I've some questions for him. I want to know why he has been behaving so out of line.'' Satoshi told her. Waiting for her to use her technique, he would then head in the direction of where she had sensed him. Using his own sensory technique, he vaguely sensed a chakra signature as well. There were a few scarce others, but based on how they were moving around, it was easy to deduce that they were probably forest critters. Moving in a careful pace, Satoshi kept sensing that the man was sort of heading back to the border between the Frost and the Lightning country. The direction where both the missing nin as he and Hanako had come from.

250 meters. Satoshi started to count down as he could sense how they were closing in. Then suddenly it seemd that their target had turned around. He was going to try to attack them. Coming to a halt, Satoshi took a quick glance of their current surroundings. There were several pine trees around them. Frowning, he couldn't find a spot where he had more advantage than his soon to be opponent. Deciding to wait, he thought he already spotted a person coming jogging towards him at a distance. There he is.

She nodded and then proceeded to perform the handsignals for her jutsu as she sunk into the ground, once she was submerged underground she traveled in the direction of the missing nin and then stopped to sense him again, he had changed directions. Frowning, she tried to figure out why but then kept going underground and once she was sure she was close enough to him, she stopped. He was moving at a steady pace back where Satoshi-Sensei was at, it became clear then. He was attacking and it was now or never. Without a second thought, she performed her jutsu and above ground huge walls of stone would shoot up from the ground. There, it is done, she thought as she came up from the ground with a kunai at ready position, the labyrinth should buy Satoshi some time.

Standing still, Satoshi kept his eyes on their opponent as long as it was possible. With the walls rising up, he could just see how the man had been surprised and somewhat confused. Waiting until the technique of his student was done, Satoshi would check the man's position with his sensory technique. As long as both he and Hanako could use their sensory technique, it wouldn't be hard to use her technique to pin him down within the earth made labyrinth. After he sensed that their opponent was still standing still in the same position, he decided to try to distract and occupy the man. Using the Hiding In Rock technique to move through the technique of Hanako, Satoshi decided to try to move to the man's left.

Taking a step, Satoshi appeared like he just was formed out of the earth made walls. Throwing a stern glare towards the missing nin, Satoshi noticed how the man grinned. ''Throw your weapons on the ground and surrender yourself.'' Satoshi calmly ordered, though he was well aware that it wouldn't probably happen. But every second he could stall the man would be another second for Hanako to have a chance to surprise attack him.

''Why don't you try to come get them, lapdog?'' Was the sneering reply of the missing nin as he looked with a rather arrogant expression towards Satoshi. It stayed silent for one moment as they then started to head towards each other. Readying his katana, Satoshi moved in with performing Iaidō. His katana sliced through the shirt of his opponent and made a light cut as he passed him by. Skidding to a halt, Satoshi turned around. The snow made them slide a bit instead of coming to halt.

Leaning to the right, Satoshi barely managed to avoid a kunai. The thrown weapon had been aimed at his right shoulder, probably to try to force him to not use his katana. With both men standing still and throwing glares at each other, they didn't had much space to go either right or left. Though Satoshi felt he was in the advantage of the corridor kind of situation. Chakra started to surround the blade of his katana as he was preparing his next attack. His opponent pulled out another kunai as he seemed to ready himself for another exchange of blows.

Finding his chakra signature was rather easy now as there was no place to go, she smiled as she once more went underground and swiftly travled to where her sensei was buying her some time. Now directly under the missing nin, she performed the Double Suicide Decapitation technique but it seemed the missing nin was not about to go down so easily, as he sprang up just as she surfaced from the justsu. It was a good thing she had a kunai in her hand at ready to be of use to her sensei.

Finding it a pity that Hanako's sneak attack had failed, he didn't blame her. She had performed it with the right timing, but their opponent was quite a fast one. While he jumped up and used the nearby wall to land, Satoshi would already unleash his next attack. The gathered chakra around his blade left his blade as Satoshi swung with his katana. The sharp chakra flow would fly in a wide arc towards the man, who was forced to make another jump. Already moving forward, Satoshi hoped that it would create an opening for Hanako as he caught sight that the missing nin was forming handsignals.

Hanako started to perform more hand signals for another jutsu that woud hopefully be of more use when she too saw his hands moving, she had to move faster as she went under ground and further down the path of the labyrinth to lay the scrol for her jutsu down. With that being done she went back to Satoshi - Sensei and created a rock clone to help them force the missing nin further down the path. Her clone took a step forwards as Hanako looked to her sensei for instruction and perhaps a signal of sorts if he had formed a plan of his own already.

As expected, the arc of sharp formed chakra sliced into the wall and damaged it, but the man had been safe. He landed against the other wall and held a handsignal. Satoshi noticed that Hanako went back underground, hoping she would try to surprise attack their opponent again. Readying himself for a possible attack, he noticed how the missing nin took a deep breath in. Just when Satoshi decided to move in for another attempt to attack the missing nin with Iaidō, he was forced to jump backwards. Spheres of air were blown at a high speed towards him, violently blowing up dust and snow as they landed, barely missing Satoshi. Grunting, Satoshi raised his left arm to prevent any dust or snow to get in his eyes. He is trying to create an opening? With the barrage of wind bullets, Satoshi saw no other choice but to stay in the screen of dust and snow.

The missing nin halted his attack as he grinned. Staring at the screen, he was waiting for a sign of movement. Then several projectiles flew out of the dust towards him. Shuriken, aimed in a curve towards the missing nin. Simply dropping himself to the ground, the man avoided the projectiles as he turned back to the dust screen that was settling down. With the dust settling back on the ravaged ground, Satoshi stood calmly waiting as he noticed they were back on the same spots as before. Noticing movement, Satoshi saw Hanako, taking her position. ''I'll create an opening. Then you close in, okay?'' He calmly said as the missing nin seemed to ready himself again.

Crossing the border

"The land is only what you make it be," Hanako said. It was true, knowing how to navigate the land was important but not so much it would cost one their life. She was glad her Sensei knew the land could be an ally and glad he knew how to navigate the land. Hanako looked around as the sky darkened some more and felt a sense of calmness come over her. Most of her clans folk were dark skinned and would easily blend into the night but even though she was not she still felt the same calm they did. "So what do we know of the person we are searching for?" she asked.

''Hmm.'' Satoshi stored the bottle back once he had moved the lid back on it. Being sure it was firmly attached back, he placed it in his bag as he thought back to the information that they had on the man that they were chasing. ''His name is Nipo. A traitor to our village.'' Satoshi stared in the flames as he started to sum up what he knew about the man. ''He has murdered his own parents and so far I know, there hasn't been any known reason why he had done that. But his worst crime towards the state is that he tried to spark a conflict between the Fire Union and the Cloud with false reports that the Frost was trying to join the Fire Union. Luckily his acts didn't deceive the intelligence forces and he has been on the run ever since.'' Satoshi glanced at Hanako. ''And now we will try to either capture him alive or kill him on spot. That is what happens with missing nin.''

Hanako listened to what he said and shuddered when he said the man had killed his parents. Why would he harm the people who gave him life? It made no sense to her. Now he was wanted and it was their jobs to bring him back or try to. "Do you think we will need to kill him?" Hanako asked. She was not afraid to kill but she tried to avoid it if there was another option. Everyone was put on the Earth for a reason and it seemed almost evil to take a life for no reason. But it seemed the Raikage had plenty reason to see him dead.

Not really a question that Satoshi liked to think about, but he knew better. ''Probably yes. If the man has killed his parents and the reason is unknown, I guess that talking with the man is out of the question.'' Satoshi replied back. He wasn't fond of ending a life, but he rather stayed alive instead of being killed by a crazy warmonger. He had his own valid reasons to keep on living, at least in his opinion. ''Though we could try to move in and try to capture him alive. Perhaps we can learn why he has comitted some deeds.'' He mumbled the words, thinking more out loud than meaning it as a suggestion.

A deep frown embedded itself into her expression and she frowned into the fire. "I had hoped we would just capture him.... But if you think it is not an option from what we know.... You are likely right," Hanako said slowly. It made her think of what she could do when they found him, she could find him easily enough with her sensory and Satoshi-Sensei was good with sensory as well. But what could she do? She did not know much offensive jutsu and had no weapon. "Do you have a plan? Or have we yet to make one?" she asked.

''Sadly, I must disappoint you there. I have some slight information about his fighting style and abilities, but nothing solid to form a plan. Considering our own abilities, I figure that it will be more useful if we manage to corner or lure him to a place where we can hit and pursue him.'' Satoshi explained. ''Using our sensory technique and advantage of numbers, we can perhaps just exhaust him in a chase and then either take him alive or kill him. Depends on the situation and surroundings.'' He wasn't sure about that stage of the mission. He could form some ideas, but without any knowledge on the condition of their target and other factors, it was just guessing around. ''But who do you want to take the first watch?''

So she would need to help him form a plan and execute it in a timely fashion. "Ok, so tell me about his fighting abilities and style," Hanako said. She listened to what he said afterwards and nodded accordingly as she took mental notes. "I can take the first watch and you can get some sleep," she said. She got up and stood on northern side of the camp site to look out into the forest.

Placing his bag behind him, he smiled. ''Tomorrow I will inform you about his fighting abilities. Nothing too special, just in case you were wondering.'' Satoshi told her as he leaned back. The fire was slowly starting to shrink and Satoshi suspected it would eventually burn out in a half hour or such. ''Wake me up after a hour or four from now. Then I will take my turn.'' Closing his eyes, he started to think back to who was waiting for him at the Cloud. Hopefully he could be home soon again.

Hanako nodded and performed the handsignals for the Rock Clone as she watched it appear. She felt better with two people on watch rather than just one and told the clone to stand at the south side of the camp. Keeping a clear view of the land in front of her and channeling some chakra into the Earth as she focused on sensing any chakra signatures.

The following morning.

After having eaten breakfast and cleaning up the remains of their camp, Satoshi started to lead him and Hanako further. With each passing moment that they neared the mountain passes, Satoshi's mood started to lighten up. Not that he had woken up in a bad mood, but he felt like coming home. Though the mountain region wasn't small and he wasn't sure where he was at the current moment, Satoshi was convinced he could determine their location and position once he would find a pass. ''Ah. I suggest we will make a short camp at the nearby pass. From there I will be able to determine the location of where we are and if somebody passed by.'' Satoshi told Hanako. Turning his head to look at the direction they were heading, he took a deep breath in. It was like always, a pleasure to be around this parts of the world.

Breakfast had been nice and it was needed refresh of energy for Hanako. She realized the amount of time she had not been active as Shinobi had made her less fit to be one and she would need to work extra hard to get back to her prime form. "Of course, if you think we should then I agree with you. Do you think we will encounter anyone of interest there?" Hanako asked. She tilted her head at his tone, it seemed lighter than before.

That was a good question and Satoshi thought about it. The Black Guard would stay out of sight if they were even close. Thinking about using his sensory technique, he realized that it wouldn't help as most of the members were able to surpress their chakra to avoid being spotted too easily. ''If we are being watched then perhaps. I suspect that if it is the border corps, that they will not likely approach us.'' Satoshi answered, but then he considered the possibility that the target could be around. That wasn't something he would like.

Hanako watched him as he thought about her question. She wondered what kind of people would live in the Frost Country and if they were friendly towards outsiders. Looking back to Satoshi-Sensei as he answered her question and listened with moderate interest. "I suppose it is a good thing we are likely to go without being stopped. Do you anticipate any hostility from the citizens of the Frost Country? And where do you think we will find our target?" Hanako asked. She asked her questions as they continued on towards the Frost Country and wondered if the plant life was different.

''Hostility? No, none at all.'' Satsohi briefly chuckled at the question. ''The Frost is part of the Cloud as they are our vassal and we have a good bond with them for quite some time.'' He thought about her other question. ''The briefing said that the man was heading to the Frost Country and I suspect he will be there. Hanging around in these parts would be a death sentence for him. Probably somewhere where the chances are slim that he will encounter shinobi loyal to the Raikage.'' It was still a bit to climb, but a pass was visible in the distance. Satoshi tried to scan the area with his eyes for any visible traces or tracks. Signs that would indicate that somebody had traveled this way before them or perhaps signs of the border corps?

She nodded, remembering what a vassal was and how it served the village or country it was vassal for. At least now she knew there would not be any hostility towards them and maybe they could ask if anyone has seen someone who looked like the target. "The citizens might be able to tell us if they saw him and when or would the citizens have been killed if they saw him? Maybe someone has seen him?" Hanako asked. It could be a long shot asking the citizens if they saw him or not but it could also help them figure out where he could be heading next or where he is.

While he climbed further as the terrain became a bit steeper, Satoshi frowned as he thought about Hanako's words. ''I am not sure.'' He mumbled. ''They have shinobi their as well and I do believe that nin from Kumo are also being stationed within the Frost country. I doubt that he will just kill any civilian on his way. Then again,'' Satoshi's cheerful mood was briefly gone as he thought about the crimes of their target. The man had murdered his own parents, so what would stop him from trying to murder civilians while he was at it? Pushing the grim thoughts away, Satoshi spoke again. ''And I think we will be able to find out once we have reached a post or some place where we can gather up some more information.'' The pass wasn't far away anymore.

Listening to him as he answered her questions made her feel a bit uneasy, uncertainty was dangerous if the target clearly had the capability to kill. From what she had heard of his crimes he was one who did not think twice before taking a life and trying to cause a war. What could have made him so bad? In her experience people always started off good and only change as they get older. "Wonder why he is so bad now..." Hanako said but trailed off as she the pass up ahead. It looked like it had been untouched for a while.

Though he had heard the words, Satoshi didn't reply to them. He had his own thoughts or hunches on why the man had turned bad or at least as messed up as he was in Satoshi's opinion. But orders were orders and he saw little to no problem of helping the word of protecting the civilians from people like this Nipo. They were nearing the pass and at the entrance of the long and somewhat narrow mountain pass, they halted. Raising his head to scan the pass, Satoshi crounched and looked around him for tracks. None. Yet there was not that much snow. It could be the time of the year, but he wasn't so sure. ''We will wait here for a few minutes. Then we will advance through this pass and enter the land of the Frost.'' Satoshi explained as he rose up from his crounched stance.

Summary :
After some days of travel, Team 3 is wandering around. Both are sent on a mission to bring down or capture a missing nin that had murdered his parents, after which he tried to spark a conflict between the Cloud and the Fire Union.

On the move.

The mountains were visible on the horizon. Standing on a branch, Satoshi felt like he was going home and in a certain sense it was. The mountainous region that was the border of the Lightning and Frost country was the main place of operation for the Black Guard. Thinking back to his days of serving with the border patrol unit, Satoshi realized how much he missed this time there. ''I suppose it is now only a day travel and then we will be at the mountain passes.'' He would say before looking at where the sun was. From the position and color of the sky, it was evidently clear that it would be soon getting dark. ''Shall we make camp or do you wish to continue?'' Satoshi asked his student.

Hanako enjoyed the scenery till now, focusing more on where they were presently instead of the different veiws and the differences from the village they had. She felt like she should check the area for anything or anyone, being so far from home was making her a bit antsy. "Alright.." Hanako said, nodding. She was also feeling a bit tired from all the travel and the way the sun was it would be dark fairly soon. "I think that would be wise, would you like me to check for anything?"she asked.

Dropping himself from the branch to the ground, Satoshi thought about it. ''Yes please.'' He didn't expect anything else than maybe forest critters around them, but it was better to be safe than sorry. Looking around, Satoshi was trying to see for a suitable place to make camp. With only two, they wouldn't need much space like a full team. Forming the kai handsignal with his left hand, Satoshi would also briefly try to sense the area for any chakra signatures.

Stopping a second after she heard his answer, she let herself slide down the boulder and down to the ground. Walking about three stesp away, she stopped and performed the Ram hand seal, sending her chakra into the Earth. Seconds later, she felt the hum of the earth, the rush of her charka and the pitter patter of the steps of the small animals that lived on it. She couldnt detect any unusual chakra signatures or any at all for that matter. Her posture relaxed, breifly, before her chakra came flooding back into her, essentially muffling the hum of the earth. "I could not detect anything unusual," Hanako reported back.

Hearing Hanako reporting that she couldn't detect anything unusual, he nodded as he lowered his left hand. Neither could he. That didn't mean that the area was safe, but the chance of being ambushed by an enemy was at least by some margins smaller. ''Lets set up camp then.'' Satoshi said as he turned to the right. They were standing on the edge of the pine forest that was in front of the mountainous region. Pondering if they should make a camp within the forest or on the edge, Satoshi decided something. ''What do you think? Where should we make camp?''

She thought about his question, they seemed too out in the open to make it here. "I think the forest would provide better cover for us than here, we would not be in the open if we are surrounded by the trees," Hanako said. Curious if he would agree or not, she took a step in the direction of the forest. She also would feel safer in the forest surrounded by all the trees than with none around her.

''That sounds good.'' Satoshi replied. He glanced at the shoulderbag at his side and would take a step towards the forest as well. When he noticed that she stopped, he nodded and friendly gestured that she could take the lead. ''Have you often camped?'' He asked, thinking briefly back about his early days in the Black Guard. If there was one thing he liked, it was to camp in the wild.

Noticing his gesture, she turned and headed deeper into the forest, deep enough that it would be hard for them to be ambushed. She stopped about a hundred meters into the forest and turned to him. "I think this is good,"Hanako said. She had to smile at his question, she nodded. "Yes, we make an effort to camp at least three times a year, a way of remembering the past," she said. Her mother had taught her that before the Asushika Clan had settled, their clan was nomadic and roamed the land for many years, she did not want her child to forget that.

Following his student, Satoshi stayed quiet as he was simply observing how she would start to work. The way how one would make a camp could mean the difference between surviving a nightly ambush and not. That and of course making it a bit comfortable, he thought with a small smirk. He was also personally a bit curious to see if there was some special ritual or perhaps way on how her clan made camp. Not that it was important, but he liked to learn about others and their way of life.

Hanako looked around the area before she decided to see if she could find some wood or something that would catch fire just as easily. "We should look for some fallen branches to start a fire," Hanako said. When she would camp with her parents and some of clans folk in her clan they never stayed on the ground at night. Always in a tree or somewhere above ground as to not disturb the wildlife and it was safer for them as well. "Are you keen on the trees or do you prefer the ground?" she asked.

''I don't mind either.'' Satoshi replied, lightly shrugging. ''Besides, you are now the one who is deciding how the camp will be and where we will camp.'' He friendly continued. Shoving his left hand in the pocket of his pants, he let his right arm hang by his side as he briefly glanced around. He didn't mind to give his student a chance to take the lead on tasks like this as one day she would perhaps have to do it without his help or presence. Deciding to remain further silent and simply follow her, Satoshi was thinking about a song that always managed to stay in the back of his head.

"We could escape an ambush or an attack more easily on the ground being able to run without needing to get out of a tree. But a tree would already offer some form of shelter and if someone or something was looking for it we would see it first," Hanako said. There were a lot of advantages and disadvantages to either side but she always felt more comfortable above ground. But now was not the time to be selfish. "The ground should be fine," she said. She scanned the ground for any fallen branches to start a fire with.

Noticing that she looked for fallen branches, Satoshi soon joined her in. He was half wondering how loose or stern he should be with Hanako. He hadn't ever mentored a chuunin before, so should he perhaps be a bit more loose with her? As in that she could have more responsibilities? It sounded justified to him. She didn't had earned the rank with battering her eyelashes, he thought to himself. ''Sounds good with me.'' He decided to say on a cheerful tone. While he was collecting some branches, he would use his sensory technique to scan the area around them now and then. The fact that they were nearing the mountain passes didn't mean that he could be less cautious.

Once she had a decent amount of fallen branches she put them in the middle of the camp site and arranged them in a way so they would both keep and maintain fire. She took two of them and began to start a fire, it took a few tries but eventually it sparked and there was a flame. "We should not let it be for too long, it will attract some of the inhabitants of the forest to us," Hanako said. It was one thing she was taught, fire was warm but it came with trouble if left alone. She did not want to have to harm the inhabitants of the forest if they came to investigate the cause of the fire.

''Aye, agreed.'' Satoshi said. He would put the branches he had collected at the fire. Sighing, he enjoyed the warmth and light of the fire. Kneeling down, he moved his bag in order to grab some provision out of it. They didn't had much with them as he believed that they wouldn't need that much. Though they had some tracking to do and trying to figure out information, he had some coin on person in case they would run low or even out of their current provision. It existed out of simple bread and some fruit, together with bottled water. Taking out a bottle, Satoshi took a nip. ''I hope that the pass I had in mind isn't blocked by too much snow.'' He mumbled the words as he thought about it. It wouldn't be a huge problem, but he would like it if the pass wouldn't be too much snowed under. That could cost them some valuable time.

She nodded as she sat close to the fire and stared into it for a moment. "What do you know of the land?" Hanako asked. She wondered if he knew of the ways to make it on his own in the forest or if he did not know. She did not want to eat at the moment and glanced back at the fire as she waited for his answer. "Sometimes the land is your greatest ally," she said quietly.

The question made Satoshi consider what he should say. He wanted to say he knew enough to know what was possible for him and what wasn't. As his primary chakra nature affinity was for earth, he assumed he knew enough. Then his training and past at the Black Guards that had taught him also how to navigate through the mountain forests at the region that was the border of the Frost and Lightning, Satoshi nodded. ''I believe I do know enough. Of course, I don't mind to learn more as I don't think I have learned every possible thing about the land.'' Taking another sip of his bottle, Satoshi continued his answer. ''And that is true. I have been taught that the environment can either be your best ally or your worst enemy. To understand on how to navigate and use the area around you, you can often use it more as an ally than letting it become an enemy. So to say.''

say what? Me and chrome have been doing a collab and he disappeared in fact i was the only on active in our collab just waiting. I have sent him and the others several message to no avail. I also do not remember or being told to post my cs anywhere. If i need to I will.

Huurm, well do you have skype? I'm sure that Chrome would have really warned everybody about that he was getting it more busier. Else it might just be a miss communication. However, I can't find your CS myself, so if you would please PM me the link, that would be great. Even though, would you please warn one of the other GM's in case something like that happens? Might be handy to avoid confusing situations like these. :)
