"I figured they'd have a large son. Yes, that is part of the magic for the males, but females are born a great deal smaller. As for my daughter when she decides to have a human child, she can't teleport, at all. It may be different when there's an egg but somewhere in the teleportation magics it can go very very wrong for pregnant humans, it can cause the mother to miscarry, send her into early labor or it can do worse. I'll probably be with her for the last month or so of the pregnancy. But it's like raising a Dracon, but human infants can get cold much easier and their skin can dry out faster. They cry more as well, but at least they don't have the sharp little teeth hatchlings do when you nurse them," Danae said.

Alyss groaned and her eyes fluttered open, her looking around squinting as her eyes tried to focus. "Daddy?" She asked hoarsely.

"Maybe it's like with Auryn? Did you try that trick Zahara did with him?" Jake asked.

Danae went and picked her daughter up, waiting for Aerta's return and then did as she asked, smiling at the projection of her daughter. "She's beautiful, but I already knew she'd be," Danae said, kissing the top of the hatchling's head.

Jake walked in and bit his lip, seeing how frustrated Cassie was getting and walked over, taking Lysandra. "I'll take the baby for a while, go take a break," He said.

Alyss was breathing easily, no longer tubed and no longer had any casts. The doctors were taking her out of the coma today since she was in the all clear so far but there had been some brain injuries and they still weren't sure how she would be when she woke up. She furrowed her brow and stirred.
