Establishing a thread to store my various characters over my time here. If any errors (grammatical, continuity, etc...) are found within any given character's sheet, please PM me with the details so I can fix said error.
@ImportantNobody, sounds like a plan. I've got a name and a general direction. Now that I'm heading home I should have time to start putting something down on paper. Feel free to PM or what have you... I'll be around a good bit.
@ImportantNobody, that sounds like a plan. I've already started at least pulling something together (I'm at work as well). If you get inspired, go ahead and start a thread... I can jump in fairly immediately.
@ImportantNobody, I would like that... I'm sure I can stir something up from the depths of my creative reserves. I may go toward the lower end of strength in abilities, equipment, etc... If there is an example of a character along those lines floating around, I would be happy to take a peek! Otherwise, feel free to get something goin', and I will follow suit.

I do appreciate seeing the activity in this particular area. Gives me hope overall... And I'm a generally positive outlook type of person so, don't worry 'bout anything swaying me away. I'll stay or go based on my personal experiences/interactions.

@ImportantNobody, I definitely appreciate the response. I... Don't know if anyone 'ere is familiar with Roleplayer's Realm, but what you described is more or less what we had there. That is, in terms of a multiverse style system focused primarily on story-driven combat. And while I am eager to jump right back into the combat scene, I personally would fall more on the side of telling an overarching story whilst in the midst of battle. I still have a lot of my material from my time at Roleplayer's Realm, including designs for a couple of factions, their planets (which was what we fought over), and a number of specific events I helped create... I would love to help in any way I possibly can. The only thing I lack is the detailed power tiers we gauged each character by - which ultimately was determined by the writer's skill at... Well, writing.

Which leads me to @Shoryu Magami. I actually agree with you entirely. Every point made is valid... I am disappointed that you will not be a frequent sight - I would definitely be interested in working with you on something that could compliment your character(s). I may even have one that already does tucked away... Somewhere. Needless, just by what I can see here, I am very strongly reminded of the talent that surrounded me during my time at Roleplayer's Realm.

Regardless, I appreciate all the help 'ere. I think the next thing is to really try and jump right in and see if someone (anyone) would be willing to have a go at showing me the relative ropes of the Arena forum.

Thanks again and let me know if I can help with anything. I would be more than thrilled and happy to pour some creative energy into a new writing adventure.

Evenin',

Wanted to ask a few questions... I did see a FAQ section, which sort of answered a few questions I had but ultimately left me with a few more.

Years ago I was very much into combat-based roleplays. I jumped between a number of different forums before settling on the now long-dead Roleplayer's Realm. Recently I have felt the urge to jump back in and dust off my writing skills. Tried ignoring that urge for some time and really I just keep getting... More eager to get writing again.

So... With that said, I have a few questions:

How is character design usually handled? I didn't see anything about pre-registering a character based on power level/abilities/equipment/etc. I did see something about T1 - which sounds... Distantly familiar. The "charge" system that was described I am familiar with based on past experience.

Do fights conclude after a set number of posts/are they judged by anyone to determine the victor?

What generally is sought after in these arena matches? Common themes, etc are what I am after. I noticed a number of different settings and characters (which is great), I just wanted a clearer image or direction if there is one.

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to dusting off the gloves 'ere shortly.
