Current Memes aside, pineapples on pizza is ok actually. Being shat on for liking things different from other people gets old after a while.

No one...

She was alone. Well and truly alone. Where did Hilda go to? Why did she disappear? Was the promise she made a lie?

Hayami was on the verge of crying, tears welling up on the corner of her eyes. Each footstep she took though the dusty remains of the city reminded her she walked alone, her parents gone, her inheritance, her servants, and everyone who cared for her.

"Stop crying. We become weak. Make strong. Survive. We survive with no her, just two of us."

.. We'll get through this, together. Just two of us...

For the first time since the shuttle crash one year ago, Hayami broke into tears and collapsed on her knees, crying out loudly amongst the rubble of the once great Sovereign. She didn't want to be alone. She didn't want to survive alone. She was tired of being strong. She wanted her life back. She wanted her parents back, her life, her servants, her room in the penthouse suite. She wanted to have those prawn things again, she would even eat those yucky vegetarian meals they cook up once in a while.

But most of all, she wanted Hilda back.

All those years she had taken her for granted, heaped abuse on her, both physically and mentally, and yet always Hilda remained at her side. She was the only on who didn't lie to her, the only one who was there for her, and the only one who really cared about her. Hayami had realized that only when Hilda was missing.

"...ilda....Hilda....come back... Hilda..."

As its host lay bawling and sobbing in the dust, Raijin, the great maned gorilla, sat on it's hindquarters and awaited for her to finish.

Bitter can make strong, after all.

Yes. Yes it is. Because through the past we build the future. //so philosophical. much clever. many awe. wow.
The new person had given her a jacket. How nice. The only other person who gave her stuff was the pirate lady, but the hat was eaten by a blue-backed flying shrimp somewhere along the way.here. After shaking herself dry,or as dry as possible, she put on the jacket, even though it seems like several sizes too big for her. Her fingers barely made it out through the sleeves. Mado put her hands together and sniffed the cuffs of the jacket.

"...strange smell..."

The new person kicked down the door suddenly, and entered the house. And he just knocked a few times too. What if they were asleep upstairs?

Mado skipped in after him, searching through the room. A shadow caught her eyes as she was looking under a sofa however, something that flitted up the stairs. Was that an other? She moved slowly through the room, leaving the new person behind searching for things. The stairs creaked ominously as she headed upstairs, the knife held in her grip like it was the Excalibur of knives. The gentleman was not with her to watch her back, having gone on another route to search in another house, s she hoped the new person would at least be able to keep the others away from her.

Fortunately however, the room upstairs seemed empty save for a bed and a few bits of old moldy furniture. Just to make sure, she looked under the bed where she found a box. Her face lighted up immediately. A box shut was a box filled with possibilities. Will it hold the Song? A treasure map? An endless supply of groceries that she may never be deprived of healthy food ever again?

She pulled out two whips, several cuffs, several lengths of chain of different sizes, small weights with clamps on them, and a large artificial carrot among all the things inside. Noticing the switch at the bottom, she pushed it to the on position. The carrot started vibrating.

"...massager?"

Searching deeper inside the box, she pulled out a black leather outfit that didn't look like it covered much.

"..leather armor?"

Wonder how much protection it gives her? It would seem she had discovered an adventurer's trunk, with all these strange tools used in some way to facilitate adventuring.

“Oi, Mado-san. Did you find anything?”

"..ah... Yes! Upstairs."

Perhaps he'd be willing to put on the leather armor.

Eins Nimgrud

"By the clocks of..."

Eins, in her efforts to push open the door, which she had thought to still be intact and raher hard to move, had almost slipped into the abyss awaiting into the other side. Having just regained her balance at the edge, she took a step backwards and collapsed on her rear. The mere thought of herself falling into the abyss and sailing through nothing made her feel sick.

"Well at least the doo..."

Past the rotting bridge and on some sort of column marked with several candles on skulls, was two dwarves, armed with those axes and those tower shields, square things meant to fend off a lot of blows. She brightened up for a moment, before the dwarves spoke in those... eerily monotone voices. Sword drawn quickly, she stepped forth to give some cover for those behind, though still she remained wary should a dagger suddenly fly towards her spine. Questions raced through her mind, with no answers to still them. The dwarves telling them to go away, why they were still here, and the unnerving feeling that they had been caught like a fly. Even the thing inside her head was squirming, sensing something was amiss.

Two dwarves on a bridge, where it was only wide enough for two men to stand abreast. It would be foolish to do so however, for a sudden movement from one could unbalance the other, or worse, fall off the bridge.

Edging cautiously towards the bridge, and stopping just short of actually standing on the rotted wood, she called out to the dwarves, "We.. We mean you no harm. We have come to rescue you." There was no need to mention they had come for an artifact, these dwarves seemed like they have seen a lot. They look rather pale and ... tired, perhaps? It was as if they haven't slept in days.
I'll take the salmon, hold the sauce, all of the bacon, and one of those magnifying glass. Oh and a jar of honey for the kids.
