The slow steady hum of spinning dials had begun to wind down as, one by one, more of the rings started to slow before coming to a stop. Each new symbol aglow with azure fire as their energies took shape. Unlike the negative energy of the Dark fey, the magic the Mystan wielded was arcane in nature. Adapting it to Detherkil technology had been no easy task Rarenrar was sure, but it seemed the elder had managed just as predicted. It was a good thing this room was mostly shielded too; else the energies would have been consumed by the nether that shrouded the tower.

Still despite their progress Rarenrar was sill impatient and by the looks of it Dinunir and Rycro were just as anxious. Just when he was about to tell the elder to speed things along the elder exclaimed. "It's done!"

Rarenrar smiled and exchanged looks with his fellow cultist as the last ring slowed to a stop. The runes now all alined perfectly glowed with a brighter intensity then before.

"We'll don't waste any time." Rarenrar said as he walked closer. "Open the gate."

The Elder Mystan shook his head however, whipping sweat from his wrinkled forehead. "We still lack a power source to stabilize the gate." He warned. "We will still have to wait for a lightening strik-"

Before the mystan could finish his sentence the dim lighting in the room brightened significantly while the light of the runes atop the control panel intensified. Rarenrar hands went to his weapon in alarm, as did the others.

"Tharchion, we're reading a massive energy spike from the upper levels. What's happening?"

Rarenrar wish he had an answer to that question, but whatever it was overcharged the rector that was to establish the gateway. The device had already begun to hum with renewed fury as it began to pierce the veil between worlds. Several meters before the control panel sparks of dark energy began to form, springing widely between four large obelisks like structures. The three cultists and Mystan stared in wonder with a mix of alarm as the sparks began to shape themselves into a sphere of silver. As it expanded in size, so did the activity of the sparks arching across its surface.

“Or that…could happen...” The mystan said hardly more than a whisper as he backed away from the control panel.

In little time the sphere had grown to the size of an average dark fey and was still growing when the large doors into the circular chamber opened. The spectacle had momentarily distracted Detherkil warriors who all whirled around at the sound of doors opening with a sigh, weapons in hand.

A man seemingly made of metal then marched in with what appeared to be a weapon of some kind in hand. Rycro already leveled his own crossbow shaped weapon, while Dinunir did the same. Rarenrar however had drawn both his blades standing in a tight combat stance.

Under squinted eyes Rarenrar regarded the automaton. "Who dares to desecrate these halls?"
Just noticed he put Tier 6 in high. That really does not seemed optimized well..

What are the differences between low to high tier characters?Like, how powerful is high tier and how weak is low tier?

The Character sheet more or less reveals the differences in detail, but the main differences usually amount to the amount of destructive power a character is capable of.

Low tier would be say batman, Robin, Punisher. Average badass humans more or less.

While High would be in the realm of Doctor Manhattan, Captain Marvel, Superman, and fully enraged Hulk.

No, you are somewhat correct, the Clockwork Man is more of a traditional form of Technomage in the form of possessing inanimate objects with magic. In actuality, he would have more control over something like your tower than he would a computer, because he's not from a time period where computers exist.(Which is why he had to get the Clockwork Spider, and why he had to essentially shut down the controls of the door, rather than just making them open.)

You I know what he does, he uses Magitech! That actually makes more sense to me now that I think about it.

You just said the systems of the tower are powered by nether. Last time I checked machines on Earth don't get powered by electricity just because, we have to make them work with electricity. The Clockwork Man can change the way the tower interacts with Nether so it doesn't effect him, through the tower, because the tower is technology, and the Clockwork Man is a technomage, and technology, and technology, and Khan, technology, technology? technology! technology.

Technically a technomage uses technology manipulation, which manipulates electronics and machinery. Which usually comes in the form of mental interface with computer data. A variation of it would be electricity/Data manipulation. (Edit: oh, and technomancy is the power to use magic through technology :P)

I know who technomages are and what they do generally. Which is why I know Clockworkman is not, as in not really a technomage so much as a variation of magneto. Though instead of controlling metal, he just takes over whatever is man made/a tool. :P

Which makes me wonder if he ever just tanks over swords, cloths, armor, and pretty much anything you can think of, well primitive they are still by definition technology. You could probably twist it to control living things to, at least those artificially made, like clones. Suddenly, Importantnobody clones seem even less daunting, and they were pretty pathetic before. Not that I really care either way, but it is an interesting observation.

My character would just alter the way it absorbs energy to get around this problem by making his own Technomagic impervious to its energy draining qualities.

Alter the way a source of dark matter cosmic energy reacts to other sources of cosmic energy?

When did Cosmic Manipulation become a power of Clockworkman? o.0

I'm working on a post.

How is that offensive?

Best not take the chance.

Anything that comes to mind yo, this is a multiverse. You could be a walking sack of shit, literally.

Probably not actually, unless it was somehow tastily done perhaps. I mean no one wants to fight a giant vagina faced thing.

Anything offensive (like a black alien with dreadlocks) would probably also be a no go too, aside form the that the world is your oyster.

Thank you.I'll make a CS as soon as I can.Apology in advance... I'm gonna ask this question...I haven't read anything about this thing. I just assumed it's good... So I don't know anything at all. Too busy to read...What are the available races?

Any race is allowed, or you can make one up if you prefer. Startling lack of dwarves though.

But ya any race goes.
