Good points. I suppose this doesn't really need clarifying as I originally thought. :/

Normally I'd have a longer reply than that, but there really isn't anything that anyone's said that I can make a decent argument/counter against.
It's all solid and I don't see any holes or flaws with the reasoning.

Jorick said Where exactly did an admin pop in to say what is or isn't allowed in OT? Neither Mahz nor Contra have posted on the subject recently, so I'm curious about where this information is coming from.

It was in the Doctor Who thread.
People were telling the OP that it's not appropriate for OT and was better suited for spam.

But then Contra Lillian (I was tired and wasn't reading all the usernames... :/) posted and said that it fits.
She never actually set/declared hard limits of what does and doesn't work in OT, she just said a particular thread does fit that a lot of people were saying otherwise for.
So to me it highlighted a confusion/miss-communication between the admins and the members as to what goes where so I wanted to try to clarify it.

1 ste·reo·type transitive verb \ˈster-ē-ə-ˌtīp, ˈstir-\
: to believe unfairly that all people or things with a particular characteristic are the same

Stereotyping is claiming everyone who shares one characteristic as being the same kind of people.
It's making false connections and claims about the person.

It'd be like me going "All people who go on the Internet to talk with online people are lazy and can't be social. Therefore you are lazy and unable to be social".
Or say I looked at your profile pic and said "All people with two girls kissing as a pic are horny and perverted creeps. Sexual harassers and see women as good for nothing but sex". According to you there is nothing wrong with me making these claims about you or anyone else who happens to fall under the judged characteristic.

No, it's been implied that regeneration can change a Time Lord's sex. I believe it was in the episode "The Doctor's Wife" when the Doctor was talking about a Time Lord he knew once and reminiscing about their adventures - he referred to them as "he" most of the time but at one point he said "or she, in one regeneration" or something similar. I don't remember the specifics but I'm certain it came up. Additionally, immediately after the Doctor regenerated into Eleven, he momentarily thought he might've become female after realizing how long his hair was. I don't know if it's a good idea for the Doctor himself to regenerate into a woman at some point, but it is canonically possible. If they do go that route, they'd probably add to the lore saying it's rare for a regeneration to do that, since it's never come up before except in those two instances (that I'm aware of). Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind a female Doctor coming in similarly to how the War Doctor did - not taking up entire seasons but just one movie or special. That's probably the best dose at which to deliver something so different.

Oh...

In that case, bring on the female doctor! :P
