You followed me all the way to my Bio? Well... Now we must drop it.

I only say E3 this year and last year.

Last year was entertaining enough because of the Xbox One fiasco.
But after having finished seeing all the presentations I admit there's very little to get out of it.

I didn't see any other games to update the list above with even.
DO IT!!! And get a video of it too! :P
Basically I figured we could use a thread to discuss either live or afterwards the announcement's being made at E3 and our opinions on them.

Xbox's has already passed, and most of it was really just them pushing games I have little interest in.
There's a couple I want to touch on so far though.

1. Assassin's Creed
Never been a big player myself, but it's always been fun from a friends house and the idea of co-op campaign excites me. I think it's something that can be executed very well, they just need to be smart about it.

2. Evolve
Too early to say much, and their low announced limit of 3 monsters worries me greatly. But the gameplay itself seems fun and solid.

3. Project Spark
Looks cool, tried to download it from PC to try it out. But it requires windows 8.1 or later... and I have no intention of updating my OS over a single game where my curiosity is only mildly peaked.

4. Halo
I gave up on the series after Halo 4. All the previous games were amazing, but Halo 4 was just a giant slap in the face that the series fell in the hands of those who clearly don't care much for the series (Even more evident whenever they talk about it at E3, the woman who speaks from them clearly has no emotion or care. It's like she just remembered a script and quotes it for her pay). They spoke way too little on Halo 5 itself to give thoughts on that, but the very fact they tried bragging "This is the first time you can play all halo games on one console" with their all in one package, just showed a total lack of knowledge/awareness in gaming and Halo itself considering that already is possible with the 360. -.-

I'll be sure to post more opinions when either something else dawns on me or the next showing happens.
->I am also interested in the talked about Dragon Age game, but since tha'ts a Bioware title under EA I'm waiting for EA's turn to speak before I give impressions on the game and it's progress.
The fact they think you have of been born with your physical sex as a female in order to roleplay a women highlights several things to me.

1. They are no true roleplayer's (And I say this having quit forum RP'ing myself several years ago)
>They proved they are unable/un-capable to roleplay as certain character's due to their sex

2. They are rather one dimensional character at that
->Seeing as they seem to think a character's sex is such a big deal that it alone determines how and who can roleplay them.

3. They're close minded and bigoted assholes, therefore unworthy of your time
->If they do not accept you simply because you identify differently than they do then they live a very narrow, hateful and limited life. One you gain no benefit by being part of or allowing to take influence over your own life.
This reminds me of another question I have, but is close enough to this topic I'll just ask it here.

What are your people's standards for calling in sick legitimately? Do these standards vary depending on the job/work?

For me I skip class if it's anything like the flu or worse where moving makes it worse, so if I went to class I'd feel like shit and barely pay attention, but if I sat still I'd recover by the next morning.

If it's placement or work (which for me so far in life has always been around children) I call in sick if it's anything I am worried about being contagious. My concern being the children's health are my priority and I am doing them no favors coming in spreading a sickness to all of them, even if I can still technically work fine without it (common colds don't count here, that would keep me home for a full week and colds are common place in everyone regardless). Children are generally weaker to diseases than adults and I don't need to be coming in giving them a sickness that by most probability will be worse for them than it is for me.
So... Basically I remember the Members Longue being far more common on the old Guild, and it would be a place I would actually poke my nose in time to time and be fairly active.

But I can't really do that here... :/

So! I made this topic!

To uh.... talk about stuff!
Was it stuff?
Yes! That's it!
Stuff! :D

So! What stuff is new with you?

Me? Oh, just stuff.
Debating stuff, humanism, religion, abortion, special needs etc. you name it.
I probably debated it at least once in the past month.

Playing stuff, Minecraft, Civ 5, Old Republic, Telltale games (RELEASE THE NEXT EPISODES ALREADY GOD DAMMIT!!!) trying Skyrim and XCOM mods for about an hour and then turning them off for the next long while.

And the watching stuff, Carl Sagan's Cosmos, Neil deGrasse Tysons Cosmos, Into the Universe with Stephen Hawkings, and just about any hour long (or longer) youtube vid I could find involving any of the following names: Carl Sagan, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Bill Nye, Richard Dawkins, Stephen Hawking and/or Christopher Hitchens.

Also! Also... also... Alando... Allons-Y!

I've been also meaning on watching Game of Thrones (Got to episode 4 in the past, seemed a bit slow so I dropped it. But with how much people love if I feel like there must be something I missed and/or left too soon so I mean to get back into it), Doctor Who [Tom Baker] and Clannad. But then there's this annoying thing called time!

And sense I lack a TARDIS I have limited hours per day to watch all these things in. Which combined with my habit of killing countless hours online means I will probably consume the entirety of the 4 months I have off trying to watch all these things... Maybe I should just destroy the internet!

I don't see that happening though. :/
And then I couldn't stream either... so that wouldn't help.

Back to the original topic!
What's up with you people?
How am I usually the ones running into these things first? o.O

I have WAY too much free time I kill on here... :/
I swear if I could give you some I would.

But good luck with all the basic training, it can be tough as a soldier so I applaud your courage.
From all you've said here though I imagine you're going to go through from very tough, stressful and emotionally pulling moments of your life, especially with a relationship in the mix (congrats on that btw :)). I know advise wasn't asked, but I feel the need to at least suggest that no matter what kind of stressful situation you find yourself in (or it's source) that you remember to use your head and that logic/rational thinking is your best friend, even in times you'd rather ignore it completely cause it seems inconvenient it may just be saving you more pain or worries in the long run.

Good luck, I wish you the best.

P.S If by some chance you ever get to fly a plane in the army make sure you yell as loud as you can while flying "YOU CAN'T TAKE THE SKY FROM ME!!!".
That or "I am a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar". :P
It is at least worth noting that never taking sick days for work can really earn you brownie points in the long run.

My Dad had a case at work a number of years ago where the Oil Refinery he worked at was re-purposed and they had to downsize from 300+ employee's to 12 (or less, I can't remember the exact number). And with my Dad's combination of 25+ years of service and the fact he not only never took sick days, but grabbed any overtime shift that opened up... ever he was one of the 12 to keep his job.

Granted though, from my understanding he mainly does this cause my family got in such debt over the therapy I need for my autism when I was younger that the money became a sort of requirement to pay it off, fund the therapy when it was happening, and still have a good retirement savings in the end. I doubt he would of done this in normal circumstances, but it still helps to show that even if it's 100% logical/justifiable to skip a shift that not doing so can have an unforeseen benefit down the road.
Basically I think I've had my run with Magic Magnum and am ready to go back to Gwazi Magnum if the admins will allow a name change (I do realize it says name changes aren't done, but there was the exceptions note... Plz?).

Most people still seem to just refer to me as Gwazi anyways, so it doesn't even seem to make any sense for me to have the name of Magic anyhow if no one is even going to call me by it.
Brovo said \Note: Extreme mental stress or disorders like depression =/= faking it. Not wanting to go and thus simply... Not going? Faking it.

I'm pretty sure this went without saying.
It's basically the same as going "Having the Flu, Needing Surgery, Lost a limb = Not faking it".

I mean no shit you're not faking it. May it be mental or physical it counts as a legit issue. :P
However this is all assuming it's a case where the person actually has depression, and isn't just claiming they are for attention, to dodge a bullet, avoid taking blame for something etc.

Neobullseye said Your teacher/boss will not only be distrusting towards you, but also towards anyone else with the same excuse, even if it's actually legit for them.

Eh... Maybe my High School was just an exception, but schools are pretty poor at tracking what's legit or not.
As long as a call was made (especially if you had your parent make the call) they often never thought twice about it.

In fact, the only time I was accused to faking sickness was when it was legit.
I would used to get very bad headaches in the mornings (Technically still do. Nothing ever worked in treated it. My best guess is that I simply adapted to signal out the rather constant pain, it still will pop up time to time, mainly when I think about it... like now... but still mostly unnoticeable. :P) and this would always cause me to slow down in my daily routine enough to be late for class. My lateness was so common from this, that even with medical notes and parental calls the teacher being an ass just assumed I was being lazy and using it as an excuse. This may of been partially because I was never the best at the class to start with so he was more disposed to assumed I just didn't care.

Basically, I think it's more just the matter of the teacher you get and their opinion of you.

It could be totally fake but if the teacher likes you they'll probably let it pass and assume it was legit. Or simply not care as long as you do well, I've had teachers who were like that as well. But your reasons could be 100% legit and the teacher may still accuse it as fake for no reason other than that they just don't like you.
