I wasn't asking why it's accepted by culture, I was simply highlighting there are ways to run an RP without a GM and it can still work well. It should also be noted RP's are not the same as say running a nation. There's far less people to deal with, and really only one main focus/goal in the end. To have a successful roleplay, as opposed to say covering all the necessities of living.

While no set leader in a political system is suicide, it is something commonly proven to be a viable system in running an RP. I'm mainly just arguing the "One size fit's all" mentality approach that seems to be happening here in that all RP's need a GM, and all GM's must get themselves involved on player conflict.

And here I was thinking my swollen eye would just serve as an interesting way to start off my character and highlight the flaw he has of being a clutz. I didn't expect it to already be getting the separate stereotype's interacting in such a friendly way. :P

Suddenly Trent heard a familiar voice, looking in the direction of where it came from he realized it was Gerry. The class clown who was two grades higher than him. "This is the second time today someone popular has been nice... This is weird" he thought. Was there some ploy/trick going on or was his eye really just that bad? Deciding it was best to answer as if the help was genuine he said "Nah, I'm fine. I can get to the nurse by myself..." and quickly turned a corner in a hurry to get his eye checked out starting to become uneasy by all this concern, concern he wasn't used too.

*Thud*

Trent had just made a quick turn right into the corner of the wall turn though... Now he had a sore bump on his forehead as well, as the eye from class. "Or.... maybe I do" Trent then admitted realizing there was no talking himself out of needing help after he pulled something like that.

So assuming we don't hear from the GM how long do people want me to wait before making the OOC?

Note, I'm not volunteering to take over as GM or run the RP. My experience with fire emblem is limited to 9 and 10, but I do at least want people to start planning how the RP will work and be making their characters, and in that time I imagine we can elect a new GM if the old ones don't show.

I myself an debating a playthrough where I base them off actors and celebrities I like a lot.
So I'd have soldiers such as: Morgan Freeman, Mother Russia (Kickass 2), Terry Crews - Old Spice, Nostalgia Critic, Angry Joe, Spoony etc.

I like how you photo shopped the character pics. Definitely makes me get more into the "We're ODST" mood! :)

I might just not being seeing it though, but with Corporal Ander's pic I'm not really seeing anything that highlights him as being ODST.
