Interested, but a bit confused.

If humans aren't supposed to be able to spot our powers how are we able to gain powers such as controlling the elements?
Isn't that a rather visible/noticeable ability?

Is this meant to a sandbox/exploration kid of RP?

If so, should we set our characters up as some kind of mercenary or colonial group?

Perhaps. I am a big believer in the logic > emotion idea, especially in regards to tough decisions.

However Alistar's hardening never gave me the impression that he traded emotions for logic, he just seemed to become cold. He was far more negative generally and that's it, still rampant with emotion but in the other direction. That can be even worse because now everything he does is fueled by anger or bitterness, there won't be the motivation there to drive him to protect people which is ultimately what will be needed to help keep a kingdom together and keep people inspired.

I mean, Alistair always seemed logical and realistic to me. He just didn't like said logic and realism get in the way of his charm or him having a good time.

Yea, like usual you didn't really leave anything for me to have to argue against. :P

The only thing I was possibly able to consider was "What if I wanted it, but no one else did?", but you already addressed it with simply restarting the RP multiple times.
If I ever find an RP that I'm into enough that I just don't want it to die I'll keep this in mind.

Which reminds me, I haven't check Interest Checks for several weeks. I should probably see if there's something new there that catches my interest.

Perhaps, but the fact Kotaku head's allowed such an article on their site to begin with has me concerned. If a site is willing to approve such garbage it hurt's their legitimacy for other stories they approve, because there is a clear lack in the requirements for honesty, logic and integrity.

A Kind question

I might be up for a Arabic RP if someone was able to show an interesting idea/premise in the Interest Check, in other words show the cool culture right there and not go "Arabic Culture is cool, trust me".

But it's not something I'd join on a whim, and unless if Cosmos releases another season and goes more into Arabic influence in Science I'm unlikely to find the motivation or interest to learn more about the culture.
