Dervish said but the fact that there's nobody speaking out against the fact that a huge chunk of the internet gaming population thinks it's acceptable to say that shit

Corrected that for you.
In this specific case it mainly effect's gamers, so mainly gamers are speaking up. But this is how the Internet communicates, it's not actually intended to be hostile. That's just the Internet language. Words are honestly just sounds (and in the internets case, letters) made in certain patterns that people assign certain meanings to. Just like how words, behaviours etc. have different meanings depending on the culture, the internet also communicates in a different way.

Dervish said There's a startling lack of humanity being shown by a lot of people who aren't being held accountable for both the venom coming out of their mouths and their actions.

In all cases, or in cases where the 'victim' is a woman?
Men receive these threats and hate mail all the time. Hell just look at Jack Thompson.

People who have the thick skin to handle criticism (male or female) simply deal with it and keep up what they're doing.
The only reason this stuff get's attention is because the person getting the threats and negative attention is a woman.

Edit: To clarify, when I say "The only reason this stuff get's attention" I am referring specifically to the threats Zoe gets. Not the Journalism and Zoe Quinn issue overall.

Dipper said her nudes were from a softcore porn shoot she did, the personal information that was leaked by her was false (home phone number was for a Harley store in Hawaii.)

You're way more up to date in this than I am. XD
Where are you getting this information? I'd like to be able to keep this updated also. :P

Dervish said and you can't claim all of the horrific comments and dirt dug up were from her people.

Date tracking, IP tracking. Basic pattern detection (such as if Zoe and Phil were actually hacked, why were their twitters 100% unaffected, and 4chan got their own symbol wrong?). It's rather easy if you have the technical know how.
So essentially this is a reboot/revive of an old ODST campaign we had going here.

General details will stay the same, but we're currently it's up to discussion as to if we want to follow the same story/plot line our old GM SwiftOnRPGuild had planned for us, or if people would rather we go in a different direction.

For sure, I strongly suspect no mater what though the Dwarves being such strangers to magic will end up fighting against the mages.
I know one of the players Angry Melon in RL and he's shown interest in re-joining so that makes six of the old members back + new people.

I'll go ahead and PM the others though and make a new OOC for us starting fresh.
However, if we are starting fresh would you guys rather follow the same plot line as last time or would you rather try something else?

Skimmed through it, and wow.

This isn't surprising in the slightest though, of course Zoe Quinn wrote an article pretending to be the victim of a sexist and hacking Internet.
Completely missing the fact about game journalism corruption, and conveniently forgetting the fact that she and Phil Fish were caught hacking themselves.

That ending though where she basically goes "If you disagree, tell your mother you love them instead" as if somehow disagreeing with her means you're a sexist pig who needs to apologize... She just admitted "I can't take criticism or opposing viewpoints. So I shall resort to personal attacks and shaming!".
For sure.

Though, would people want to continue off of where we left it? Nallore had sent me the old DM's plans (So many spoilers... :/) so we could keep going in that direction.
Or would you rather we start fresh considering we'll be getting people who weren't around for the start of the last one?

Starting fresh also means we can effectively decrease the Player/ODST count, which me and Nallore over PM suspected as being part of the issue. We had so many players that we were sort of forced to separate into smaller divisions, which ultimately got a lot of people less engaged. Would of worked on a site solely dedicated to that one RP, not as effective on a multi-RP site like the Guild.
Sorry for suddenly vanishing there, stuff came up.

But yea, that's a lot.
Like I said, no one is immune to error. At least with the warden ruling along-side Alastair though the mistakes can be minimized.

As for the Dwarves, if you mean in Origins they already told you. If Harrowmont is in charge he ends up losing rule eventually cause he wasn't strong enough to keep support for him. If the young noble Belign I think his name was takes over he is rather cruel/brutal but the Kingdom ultimately holds together.

If this is something in regards to Inquisition though I honestly have no idea, I haven't followed news on the most recent game much.
That would be much appreciated, this RP had too much promise for the quick and brutal ending it got.
Good point, that was definitely a jump in Alistar's reasoning.

I can somewhat understand in that you are disgracing the title of Grey Warden by allowing Loghain to join and how this can hurt their image later on. But at the same time that's hardly worth killing Alistair or the warden over. And the Grey Wardens are also known to do whatever is necessary.

In the end though, he is still humans. Humans will make a mistake may they be hardened or not, he won't become mistake proof by being hardened. Personally for that reason I think the best outside is to play as a female human noble, and marry Alistair so you both rule.
