Seeing as one of them is OT specific I'm assuming you people are making them somewhere.
Brovo said Get it yet? Please?

*sigh*

Yea, I get it.
I'm probably just got to used to (personal experience) the typical twilight fan not being that rational and/or causing drama all the time.
But there wasn't a similliar trend among those who say play violent video games, so the double standard of the argument never dawned on me.

Though I feel the need to note at least (This isn't arguing your point, just noting something).
Characters like Shepard, Thane, Mordin, Jack etc. at least had redeeming qualities. Trying to save the Galaxy, Only assassinated bad people, regretted making the genophage, subject of horrid experiments etc.
Bella though... Bella has nothing.
I... I don't understand.
If it helps I'm in an RvB RP even where there's someone who's never seen the show.

We let one pass cause it was working towards saving the life of a Guild Member's friend.
But simply paying college bills? We've all had to do it.
Kaga said Yes. That is her argument for not ever drinking plain water. She claims that she gets enough water from the soda she drinks.I for one am still stuck on "old people drink water!" XD

B... but, she's over 70% water.
Guys, this was honestly meant to be an off-hand side note about a personal concern I see with it.
It wasn't meant to be a "Why do you think women can't think for themselves!" thing this seems to be exploding into.

Vanq said I hope I'm just not understanding you properly, because what you seem to be implying is the inability of women and girls to distinguish reality and fiction. The same argument, targeted largely at boys and men (by the media or "concerned" parents) regarding violence in video games is just as inane an argument.

No, I'm voicing a concern that an abusive relationship is even a fantasy for such a large portion of people.

Brovo said Okay... Let me reiterate this one more time.. . There's nothing else to it. There's utterly nothing wrong with it. Whatsoever. At all. That has been my point this whole time. I don't know how you're missing that when I've blatantly told you that it's normal, it's widely prolific, it's something quite literally does. Including you. From sadists to masochists to everything in-between, we all have our fantasies, light and dark, romantic and twisted, and we have dozens, if not hundreds of them. . That grow and change over time as our tastes grow and change and our mentalities change. It's healthy to explore your fantasies in a purely fictional and imaginative way. It's a way to explore yourself and understand who you are, which allows you to better adapt to new situations and even start relationships with other people.Simply put Gwazi: Stop judging women for what the fuck they enjoy. That's actually incredible sexist. Just let women enjoy whatever the hell fantasy they want to, even if it's lolipop gumdrops and dark chocolate making out over cloud number nine. Because it's a fantasy. A FANTASY! IT'S A COOKBOOK! A COOKBOOOOK!Sheesh.

I only highlighted women here because that is demographically the majority of it's fan base.
My points would have also applied to any men who were the same as well.

I completely get the whole fantasy and exploring fantasy to grow thing. And I get people separating fantasy from real life.
But when it starts to turn into self such as "I totally relate to Bella", it starts to suggest more at play. I mean when have you ever heard a gamer say something like "I relate to Duke Nukem" or some other character that's clearly meant to be an exaggerated/fantasy experience, where if you behaved such way in the real world... it wouldn't be good.

Honestly though, I do not get how being concerned that people are turned on enough by an abusive relationship that they start to say they relate to it in the real world... I don't see how that's sexist.
Dipper said More like they're seeing Atheism+ 2.0, only in the gaming community.

Good point, I was tired enough at the time of writing that that I forgot about atheism+ completely for a moment there... Derp.

Dipper said At he same time, fuck Chira (AA). Told a woman who was raped that she deserved it and it was a pity that she survived it, and then threatened to rape her himself over reddit. When the backlash happened, he tried to say sorry other in private because he's too proud to admit he's an asshole.

TJ explained this in a video, it was years ago, he was in a fit of rage and had previous apologized for most of it as well. Plus as I highlighted way earlier in this thread to Hellis, the Internet tends to communicate in a far harsher/crueler way than most people in terms of word usage. It's just how people talk, they don't actually mean much harm by it usually. Hell he did admit that he was in the wrong back then, but this was many years ago for him, like I would have just been starting High School at the time (and I'm now in my 3rd year of college). People can change a lot and realize past mistakes in that time.

Dipper said Hell, he got kicked from Team TGWTG for being a dick to everyone.

I wouldn't treat a TGWTG/Channel Awesome record as suggesting anything. Spoony was banned too for a time, and it was for a joke he already apologized for far in advance. Only getting banned cause one of their members who happened to basically be a SJW chose to pick a fight with Spoony when he was in the middle of a scene/moment from depression and bi-polar.

I mean, Linkara, Nostalgia Critic, Linkara, I fucking love those guys they're amazing. But their channel isn't exactly the best moderated/ran place.

Dipper said Also if he's in on it, its because he despises feminists and actually is a misogynistic asshole.

(Below might start to look like an unrelated rant to TAA, but trust me it's relevant).

There was a time when one of the atheists group I was in was Dusty Smith's fan page on facebook, and eventually he just went power crazy. Took sole admin power, banned people left and right just cause "It's his group, he can do what he wants", and eventually started doxxing people who called him out, one of them was someone who tirelessly moderated Dusty's group for years singlehandedly asking for nothing in return. During all Dusty no doubt was making some scene about it with his YouTuber friends, because TAA came in to see what was going in. But he never came out and started bashing/attacking people for anything, instead he was kind, civil and discussed with people privately over what happened.

This led so when those of us sick with Dusty started a new group, TAA actually joined and does post on occasion. He actually is a really civil/decent person when not in front of the camera. Like he said in one of his latests videos about "Is TAA a character?", it kind of is but isn't. He isn't nearly as aggressive/relentless as his character is, but the anger about injustices is still there. But he is actually a very mature, rational and intelligent person if you've ever talked to him.

I mean honestly, outside of a few ancient remarks from him that he himself has already owned up for, what exactly is there to suggest that he's a misogynist?
I know of the show because it was listed on Netflix.
But I never did actually bother watching it before.
