Revans Exile said If the Canadian health care system was so great then why do Canadians choose to come to America for their health care needs?

Because America by not having government health care makes their doctors privatized.
Privatized doctors meaning they essentially go to the highest bidder, they get paid more. So doctor's move to America as a result.
Now in theory this might sound good (For America, this system right off the bat has the flaw of damaging every other countries well being).

But what this also means is the Doctors only go to those who shell out a ton of cash, which means a lot of other people are left without medical care. A lot of people on the streets, working less effectively, unable to work or dying because they can't get medical treatment. And morality set side, that still means your country is allowing a ton of members of society to simply perish and/or become a burden on loved ones rather than become productive members of society.

Revans Exile said If the Canadian health care system was so great then why do Canadians use outdated surgery techniques, rationing & delaying health care?

First off, you're referencing an american news article made 4 years ago.
One that would have been made right during the time Obama started putting in health care and americans were up in arms, when american media would do anything to try to vilify it for views.
Secondly, the article outright proves it's bias when it refers to America as "Land of the free" when compared to Canada, suggesting that Canada somehow isn't free... Which shows either

1) Blind Patriotism
2) Completely lack of knowledge of other countries

The fact that source is terrible aside though, it's not "Outdated" as you're suggesting it to be.
What's happening here is the direct result of America. Like detailed above, America absorbs all the skilled doctors by essentially paying more.
This means other countries get stuck with the less skilled doctors, and less doctors overall which leads to people having to wait.

This isn't a flaw of government health care, this is the flaw of America digging their feet in when all the other countries are moving forward.
And before something along the lines of "Well you just said America is doing better with Doctors, therefore America's system is best".
First, like detailed above it prevents many citizens from being productive.

Secondly, it only benefits america atm because they're the only one doing it.
If everyone adopted america's laws then no Doctor would be rushing for america. America would lose it's edge in skilled doctors, and then every country would have skilled doctors and not face issues of lack of skill or lack of numbers. But they would simply be left with doctors only treating people who pay the most. While other citizens turn from being productive members into either corpses or family dependent.

If America adopted government health care though? America would still lose it's edge, and other countries not face the above issues. But it also means every citizen can go back to contributing to society.

Revans Exile said If the Canadian health care system was so great then why is sophisticated diagnostic equipment scarce and growing scarcer? As in Washington state (Population: 4.6 million) has more MRIs than the country of Canada (Population: 26 million).

This one could be for medical treatment reasons.
I'm not a doctor myself so I can't say for sure or the validity of one vs the other, but this could more be different approaches to treatment.

However it should be noted that better paid doctors also = better equipment.

Revans Exile said If the Canadian health care system was so great then why are patients denied care, forced to cope with increasingly antiquated hospitals and equipment, and can die while waiting for treatment (as in never getting any treatment in the first place)?

No one in Canada get's denied care, waiting and delays just tend to happen for the same reason detailed above. America absorbs most of the doctors.

Revans Exile said If the Canadian health care system was so great then why are standards far below those of the United States?

Once again, covered above. America absorbs the better doctors.

Revans Exile said If the Canadian health care system was so great then why are a growing chorus of Canadians, including many former champions of socialized medicine, are calling for return to a market-based system?

You expect to take a vast array of people and generalize their opinions, viewpoints, reasoning and arguments into one statement?
People aren't that simple.

Revans Exile said Luxuries can never be rights.

So... you don't have a right to your own body, to your own free will, to a decent wage if employed etc?
Things like that used to be luxuries at one point or another, they turned into rights as society advanced.
You are quite literally arguing that either humanity or you specifically have not advanced since the day life was first formed.

I have to completely disagree with you, there is no system that is not screwed in someone's view or another, and it's YOUR views not everyone else. See good and evil are simply just opinions on what's morally right and wrong, hints why our views have changed so much over human history. By your logic government is bad because there are countless systems out there that have killed tons of people, rigged elections, started rebellions and have become so corrupt that it seems impassible to fix, do we now get rid of government? No because it's human flaws that mess things up not religion or whatever people like to rip on. Humans just want to find something to blame for their problems rather look at themselves as the source of the problem. I'm catholic and I know full well what the church has done in its history, but i am also American and I know full well what my country has done in its history, but I am still a proud catholic and a proud American. If you are so obsessed with being part of something that is not guilty of human error then you're just setting yourself up to be constantly disappointed when things don't work out the way you want them to.

No system is perfect, that's true.
But that doesn't mean I should simply be willing to accept and agree with any system just because flaws will always exist.
Yes Humans are part of the problem, people wanting to blame something else rather than themselves. But what about cases where a child was raised by their religious parents to hate science, LGBT people etc? Is that a case of the child making excuses? Or is that a case of a rather broken belief system corrupting a child's mind?

I don't like it when people hate people. I don't believe in God myself, I think it's silly to do so. But I don't hate anyone for believing, and I think everyone has a right to believe what they want to believe as long as it doesn't affect anyone else. However I know a lot of people who identify as "athiests" who hate religion which I think is wrong. If anything I think atheists should be *more* tolerant, but sometimes that isn't true.

This does remind me to make a clarification because often times people misunderstand me.
I don't hate religious people, at all. What I hate is how religion as a system as hurt so many people, and gotten in the way of things such as science and medical advancement.

I would but I feel like my friends have reservations about me showing pictures of them to strangers on the internet. But in it we all made a heart symbol with our hands so yeah.

Paint over their faces. Or crop Morgan Freeman and George Takei over them.

It's cause they aren't.

They're a thing.
They're just far less popular for two big reasons.

1. A lot of people are raised to see women as the victims, not men. So where feminism get's a lot more support, MRA get's a lot more blind eyes and dirty looks.
2. Feminism has boosted in popularity with shenanigans such as Five Guys, Feministfrequency, Oh look! Someone said something mean on the Internet! White Straight Cis Male Privilege etc. Getting a lot of attention both from SJW looking to join the bandwagon, and people who are outraged by the bigoted behaviour and false information being spread by feminism. While MRA doesn't tend to start that sort of stuff, therefore not as much attention or popularity.
CoD has been milking minor patches as brand new games forever now.
And Halo's gone down the drain since 343 got their hands on it.

I've stopped caring for either franchise.
henrypotema said Hmm, that's interesting. I know so many people who say "roleplaying is dead" or "nobody roleplays online any more" but obviously that isn't true. I think the reason people think it's dying is because nobody tells anyone else that roleplaying exists! Do you think there would be more roleplayers if we told our friends about it?

Oh yea, for sure.
Most people also seem to think stuff like LARPs and D&D are just a thing for the small population of rejects, until they actually run into someone who takes part in it.

And all hobbies grow with exposure, if more people were open about it would become a more popular hobby.
It's just that there are too many people who'd rather not, cause they fear how their 'friends' will respond.

I air quote 'friends' purposely cause I cannot fathom why anyone would view someone as a friend if they felt they had to hide their interests from them to avoid shame or harassment.

It gave me quite a laugh!
Judging by her response the ratbug was doing exactly what it looked like, trying to harm or kill the girls. Once one of the girls thanked him for his help he simply nodded and said "You're welcome". But then as he was on his last wipe of cleaning the blood off his blade she asked who he was. So he stood up, putting his sword back in it's holster and said "I am Gwazi Magnum". He was somewhat reluctant to give more info, seeing as he had no idea what their intentions were. But considering they just got him out of the tight spot he was in with that rat bug, combined with the fact if you want people to trust you, you need to be honest. He decided to elaborate further and continue with saying "I'm just wandering by, so I happened to be sleeping nearby when that... ratbug thing showed up".
