It's not helpful that Mahz has only ever posted one update, weeks ago simply going "working on it".
Especially considering his reputation to promise stuff and then never fulfill it. Like your WOTM issue, when MDK gathered me and others to try to make another kind of contest we were also stopped in our tracks because Mahz never made the new section like he promised.

This issue has persisted for years.
I defened Mahz when the Old Guild crashed, cause that was the businesses fault and not his.
But I'm not going to defend Mahz this time, I might have if he was in a bad situation IRL and kepted us at least somewhat informed as to that he's busy and what the issues are.

But considering he's basically maintained radio silence, expecting other admins and mods to defend him with claims of 'IRL stuff' without any details as to anything either on the Guild side or IRL side. And then the only actual insight we get had to be leaked from a private IRC chat because he's so lip tight about the issue? It's no surprise the site is falling apart and people are leaving. And the admins and mods getting defensive and hostile towards those left and concerned about the trend is not helping matters.

I would make a list like this.
But I've let a lot of game's year releases blur overtime.
Plus, a lot of the early years will just be Pokemon and Halo.
Because that's the majority of what I played as a kid until Kotor and Mass Effect came along.

And even if there was... That is pretty bad, the only time you can post is when your friends aren't on to reply.

I remember playing a Thief demo as a kid and really liking it.

But I have enough games coming up on Christmas (Including Alpha Sapphire :3) that I'm bound to be occupied for a while.

It's especially important to get that right in pokemon, because there are shiny pokemon which are re-colourations of a certain pokemon.

Most parents today don't really know much about video games.
It's not going to be until another 10-15 years where a decent portion of parents are game knowledgeable (but even then, a lot of the parents are going to be your preppy and jock type people from school. Who barely touched games growing up. Outside of a few big titles like Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed).

It's a risk, I'll admit it.
But there's little that can happen other than "The Cartridge doesn't work".
I bought both Kotor 2 and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance on Ebay before when I was younger, both work completely fine.
So although a risk, it's a small one (Cause user reviews of the seller is a thing) and one that never happened to me personally.

Hell I know people who use Ebay and Amazon like their go-to shopping malls.

I wanted to mention this while I had the chance: I'm seriously considering migrating to another site (ideally Iwaku) if the Guild does not improve soon. While I want to have faith that Mahz will get around to fixing some things before the end of the holiday season, the site's downtime is so bad that it's down about 23 hours of the day. If Mahz doesn't do anything, it'll only get worse with time, and I'm really sick of his empty promises. I'm worried that it'll cause this RP, along with all my others, to die. And honestly if I could save just one, I would pick this one. I won't try to pack everything up if you guys don't want to, but I feel it's important to bring this issue up.

I agree completely.
And being perfectly honest? I might have left the Guild by now if not for this RP.

I mean honestly, spam is dead, OT is dead, member longue has always been blog central, and RP discussion purposely dismisses/looks down on people concerned about the site.

Plus, my attempts on the facebook group to draw attention to it has basically gotten the "If you're not happy with the situation and Mahz's way of handling it you can leave" response.
More than enough to make me go "Screw this" and go, if I didn't feel like I was abandoning people/a commitment by doing so.

That and being perfectly honestly, you and MDK the only friends I have on the Guild who hasn't already quit/vanished in response to Guilds situation.
So if you left to another site I'd have almost 0 reason to be sticking around here now other than be Nostalgic of the old days.

Gwazi went in sword lunging, aiming right for the rat bugs head. And before he knew it the creature was lying there dead... "What, really? No, this too easy... Natural 20's don't happen in real combat. It HAS to be an act". So he pulled his sword out and made one mighty swing at the neck of the thing to chop the head off. Then taking a second to look and confirm nothing happened he sighed now fairly confident that the creature was in fact dead, "Yea... that should do it". But then realizing that doing so probably creeped some people out (Hopefully not too much, these were roleplayers and amazon warriors after all) said out loud "Just being sure. This thing already regenerated once...". But then when Muse said they had to get going he nodded, but then said towards the watching crowd "I'd suggest you burn this... just to be safe". Then after taking out a cloth and quickly wiping the blood off of his sword he put it away and began to follow Muse and the others out.
