As Summer forced a smile his way, Jaxon wondered if he made a mistake coming up to her and starting a conversation. As he thought about it some more, he began to doubt himself. She had only asked him if she would see him there, not that she had hoped or wanted to see him there. Maybe she was just being polite earlier and now he was bothering her like the idiot he was.

He was about to murmur a quick goodbye to escape from the awkwardness he caused, when Summer broke the silence.

It was an off-handed question. She probably didn’t mean anything by it, but Jaxon’s face subconsciously tightened. The only person in the world that knew Jaxon was powered was gone now. There was no way Summer would know about his abilities. Unless, Austin might have told her before he passed. He didn’t know what to say so instead of saying anything, he focused his gaze hard on the crowd and gave a mere ”Mm.” as a response. He rubbed his sweaty palms on his dark jeans to dry them before shoving them back in his coat pocket.

Fortunately, Summer changed the subject and Jaxon was able to breathe a little more freely again. ”Yeah, no problem. It was a simple fix, but let me know if you are having any issues.” He tried to follow her gaze as she turned back to face the crowd. She joked morbidly about Austin actually being alive and popping out of nowhere to surprise them, but there was an undeniable sadness in her voice. Part of her probably still hoped that was the case. Hoping for the impossible was always an unbearable burden. If he was wittier a person, he would have a response. Something to lighten the mood and maybe make her smile for real. But he wasn't. So instead, he stood there silently next to her as they continued to watch the other mourners.

Austin's parents were there and the sight of them gutted Jax. Mrs. Witten tried her best to hold her head high so that she could greet and thank the other mourners for coming, but every once in a while, she would seek comfort in Mr. Witten's arms and let out a sob. Mr. Witten's expression was stone-cold, but Jaxon saw the gentleness he used when comforting his wife. He was doing his best to be strong enough for the both of them, yet the redness in his eyes revealed his grief.

"I'm going to pay my respect," he said, letting his voice trail off. What he didn't say aloud, he hoped she understood. "You can come with me if you want. We both don't have to be alone."

He made his way toward the Wittens and gave Mrs. Witten a soft, "Sorry for loss," while he and Mr. Witten exchanged some solemn nods. As he approached the open casket, he felt his leg grow heavy. Why did they have to do an open casket? The idea of seeing Austin's body was almost too much. He couldn't do it. At least, not alone.
Likewise. I've been pretty busy at work. I'll try to get a post up as soon as i can.
Do I want to be meta and suggest they watch KPop Demon Hunters? 😏

HONESTLY I WAS GOING TO PUT THAT.
FØXY

"Home," Foxy said, looping her arms with Lumi as she noticed the young girl trying to get them on the move. While it would have been fun to go out, all Foxy needed was right there. Foxy will always be grateful for EVE for bringing them together. Where else would a group of girls so different with such diverse backgrounds get together? Even if she joked about partying, the rest of the girls would know that Foxy would never do anything that would risk any negative attention on the group because she loved them all too much. Even if it meant, hiding parts of herself from them and the rest of the world.

As they walked to the elevator and eventually reach their car, Foxy was brainstorming potential movie ideas aloud."Hm... I'm always down for Step it Up or Legally Blonde. Or, or, or maybe the original Scream movie would be fun! Nothing that'll make me cry though. I do not want to have puffy red eyes for the press conference."

Their ride was an unassuming but large three-row SUV. There were plenty of space for all five of the girls to fit. Fortunately, their driver was already there waiting for them so they were able to climb in and be on their way. The traffic was horrible, as it always was in the city, but the girls were able to distract themselves with idle chatter about their movie night and their world tour announcements.

Speaking of world tour, the first person Foxy wanted to let know was her best friend, Lily, from her Dance Academy days. They weren't going to have time to discuss the news in person, so she texted Lily to let her know that she had big news and to call her later that night before bed.

After about 45 minutes or so, the girls were back at their home. "I'll doordash the food and snack if you guys want to set everything else up!" Foxy said as they walked through the front door.
Hi! If I am the next person to post, I'm gonna shift us toward the house. Otherwise if anyone wants to post before me, you guys are more than welcome to whoosh us over to the next location.
Great posts so far everyone! I really like seeing how everyones' characters are coming to life. Since there is talk of a celebration, I think it'll be fun to also play out their celebration! It'll let us flesh out some of relationships between the characters as well. And if the conversation seems to die down, I'll fastforward us to the next day.

Even before Lauren had walked into the room, Foxy already had a feeling what this meeting was going to be about. Everyone, and she meant everyone was talking about EVE lately, so it was only natural that DAYZ would want to take advantage of their rise. But like the rest of her peers, she instantly perked up at the mention of a world tour. A world tour so soon was way beyond Foxy's imagination. She had expected a domestic tour and maybe a few collabs with some big companies, but a world tour? She had to give Lauren her props for being such an opportunistic capitalist. At least it benefitted them.

Foxy gave Charlotte a gentle smile after she had so softly congratulated them all for their recent success. Foxy could tell that the Pink Princess already had her hamster wheel spinning, trying to calculate the best way to act in front of the media. Meanwhile the other girls were already making plans on celebrating, causing Foxy to squeal alongside them with excitement.

"Well duh, Zee. You and Lottie are the only ones legally allowed to drink. The rest of us will have to settle for apple cider," Foxy couldn't help but joke. She had to admit that she was amused by the idea of sneaking out and being bad before their big announcement even if it would probably give their manager an aneurysm. "Imagine we get cancelled for sneaking into a club because most of us are underaged."

And of course on that note, their manager came back and gave Foxy his usual disapproving look to which she flashed back an innocent grin. "Ahem... you girls are free to do what you want, but I do want to remind you all that tomorrow will be a very big day. So please, I beg of you, refrain yourselves," he said with another glance at Foxy.

"You are dismissed for today. I will be sending the car to your house at 8 am sharp tomorrow. We will do hair, costume, and make up at the studios so just be awake and hopefully not hungover. We are still working out all the finer details of the tour, so I'll give you all more information tomorrow while we are setting up."

With that, the manager left to handle more preparation for their press conference, leaving the girls to their own devices for the rest of the day.

"So.... how about something simple? Like our favorite takeout, ice cream, and a movie?"
Yay! First post up. So I was thinking we can have everyone post their initial reactions and thoughts to the announcement to start. From there, just for the convenience of the roleplay and story, I will put everyone in pairs for like "small group interviews" and give everyone some questions the interviewers might ask your characters. That way you can collab with one of the other members and get some interactions going.

Afterward, the girls will have some "free time" to showcase what they are like outside of work before they begin preparing for their tour.

How do we feel about that? Also feel free to give some recommendations or if you have some fun ideas of what you want to do with your characters don't hesitate to reach out. I just want to make sure we can keep this roleplay going with some GM guidance :)
DAYZ Entertainment Headquarter

The office was buzzing with excitement. Lauren Chen, the current CEO of DAYZ Entertainment, brought in donuts and other baked treats to celebrate the good news. The other employees were laughing and chatting freely, and there were even some whispers about potential bonuses. This was a brief celebration, a well-deserved break before the chaos that was going to follow the success.

EVE had gone viral. While they weren’t unpopular before, this was different. Everyone all around the globe was listening to their latest single. Even their older songs were gaining traction because people now knew who EVE were. Their rise wasn’t dissimilar to that of BTS; it took a couple years but now that they finally caught that spark, and the flame was spreading faster than they could have even imagined.

This was also DAYZ’s first girl group that has reached this level of recognition. So appropriate actions had to be taken to capitalize on their current hype and to secure their status as global superstars. To ensure this, the CEO had called for a meeting with the members of EVE and their manager to go over next steps and to, of course, congratulate the girls on their success.

The members of EVE were already seated patiently, when the CEO came in. She was an attractive woman, in her late-forties but she could easily pass for a thirty year old. Her long black hair was tied in a neat bun with not a single strand out of place. Her make up was simple and professional. She was wearing an expensive looking white blouse and black dress pants.

“Congratulations, EVE! You girls have exceeded our expectations,” Lauren said with an award-winning grin that didn’t quite reach her eyes. The CEO had a habit of keeping her true feelings concealed behind a warm facade. “That being said, this is only the start and we still have a lot of work to do to ensure your future here with DAYZ. I did want to let you girls know that we are going to work on an exciting announcement.”

Lauren glanced at each of the girls individually in a dramatic pause before making her big announcement. “EVE is going on a world tour! We’re going to have our first show here in New York. From there, we will go to Europe and Asia before coming back to the Americas!”

Without even waiting for the girls’ reactions, Lauren continued, “Anyway, we will have press conferences to announce this to the rest of the world tomorrow. For today, celebrate and rest up. Don’t go too crazy though. I’ll let your manager fill you in on the rest of the details tomorrow morning before the conference.” With a wave of a hand, the girls were dismissed and shuffled out of the meeting room.

Their manager stepped out for a second to answer a phone call, leaving the girls alone to process the news and potentially debrief.
