Netflix is to blame for the sudden resurgence of my animu phase. >:c It was supposed to be background noise, but then I went and got invested... twice in a row.

What techniques do you use to open these "pickle jars"? Or is it just raw pickle jar opening strength? (not to be confused with regular strength)

@HalfOfLancelot Okay yeah but those are all comedies which focus on the comedy more than anything so it's not necessary to have a plot. But hey, don't drag on the Office. That was an amazing show. I know someone here who will FIGHT you for thinking otherwise.

Oh no, I'm not like a rage demon of hate if you like a NOTP. I'll judge you a little since people who tend to like that ship are similar and try to observe and see if you have those traits but I'm totally cool with it being your OTP. I just want to debate it and see why you like it. Yeah, I'm not for that either but at the same time I'm not for anti-hetero shipping either.

Oh, aha, I try to stay away from the dynamic of some fandoms and their shipping - I know there are some hardcore people out there hardcore people.

But, my big ships are probably Dean/Cas from Supernatural and Steve/Bucky from Cap'n 'Murica. I can definitely give you a power point presentation as to why I ship them. I actually have a lot of lowkey Marvel ships, now that I think about it. And there's one more that's making me wanna tear my hair out because I can't think of it. I also probably only really have one NOTP, but I don't judge anyone who ships it. People like what they like. side note someone should definitely get into shipping Hanzo/Mcree from Overwatch with me.

This is aggravating me. I know for a fact I have another OTP that I scream about at least on a weekly basis.

Anyway, I grew up with The Office. That's weird to say. I'm 21, but still. ;3; It was the first show to make me legit sob tho. Jim/Pam was my first foray into shipping too even though I didn't get into it like I normally do nowadays.
Also

Oddly enough, I call myself shipper trash but I have like only three ships I'm actually invested in beyond "Oh, that'd be cute!"

I disagree completely because I have never seen a character-driven show that was more than 75% good.

*whispers* Wasn't friends a character-driven show?

So was The Office! D;

And Parks and Rec!

And Community!

@HalfOfLancelot Although I love shipping and the stereotypical shipper (I admit I judge and argue with you on ships. I know I'm the worst kind and give shippers a bad name) I actually don't go into a show looking for ships. I want it to be natural so I know there's something special there. Sometimes I end up shipping nothing at allb or it takes some time.

I tend to be into a show for the stories and the characters. I tend to be in fandoms for shipping.

We're opposites, though, in that I'm fine with everyone else's ships - even the ones that don't make sense or are more taboo. I don't like arguing about things like that; I'm just happy to have content to read or see, in terms of ships. I'll give you my reasons for not shipping something, but I'll never tell you that you're wrong for shipping it or that it doesn't make any sense to ship it. I'm a goody-two-shoes irl and it translates everywhere else. Even if my humor's a little... out there.

The only problem I have in relations to a ship is if the character in question was canonically LGBT and the person decides to forgo all of that. We're so gypped on representation (as Apok says) that it's not at all right or fair to the character or the people who relate to them, imo. That's the only time I'll get touchy about a ship.

It's one thing to ship a straight character with their gender (people do that all the time and there's a plethora of heterosexual men and women in media) it's another thing entirely to ship a lesbian character with a man or a gay man with a lady (who people have to squeeze through numerous, numerous things to get even an inkling of rep). That's why it's such a big thing that Deadpool's pansexuality translating from comics to the movie was such a big thing or that Mark Hamill said what 'Go for it' concerning Luke Skywalker's sexaulity. (or that Iceman's gay haha. I'm still not over it. I'm still noT OVER IT)
I've found myself, guys.

RL Picture of me. Haha.

Also me:

*Holden quietly cries into his pink blankets wondering why he couldn't have just been some kind of surgeon or something*
@Altered Tundra Perhaps. But if I've learned anything in my years of absorbing media it's that no one likes to admit that they are hot headed.

WHAT ARE YOU EVEN TALKING ABOUT I AM NOT A HOTHEADED INDIVIDUAL COME ON FIGHT ME FITE ME FITE ME FITE ME FITE ME FITE ME

^How to kill someone with dyslexia.
Aw man, don't hate on Holden because he's team Pink. ;3; He's frail and fragile like Bambi (ignore the fact that I put 'thick-skinned' in his CS).
@Altered Tundra Nooooo I was saying that my outburst was me being entitled! ;3; I was making an off-hand joke about straight men.

WELL MAYBE YOU JUST NEED TO WOO MY CHARACTERS SOONER, EH?

What if I wanted to do that, Tundra? Can't I have a nice conversation and maybe a late night snack with a perfectly reasonably murderous lady? JEEZ.
@lovely complex

Yeah! The Faith Buffy. Buffy Faith. Faith from Buffy--OMGGGGGGGGGGGG

Ah, man, this is not a problem I thought I'd have. Not the Aisling thing, but the fact that I have honestly no idea how Holden would actually interact with people and build relationships. I think... I want to say that's a good thing because Holden himself won't actually know either. It'll... it'll be a journey for the, uh, the both of us then? Haha. Both of us as in me and myself--er, my character.

Regardless, I have a feeling Holden's gonna have a hard time deciphering what she wants from him and whether or not he'd ever want to divulge his inner thoughts to her. I think there's gotta be something in the middle for them to connect beyond what's on the surface for either of them. Holden in that he's always focused on not failing himself and Aisling in that she's always intent on keeping people at an arms distance. They're both individuals I think would have a very compatible friendship, it's just getting over the hurdles that are their own personal mental/emotional fortresses.

And if Ash comments on Holden being in team pink he'll probably frown and kick the dirt, "I just like music a lot. :( "

I would eat the shit out of that, plus the wrapper that it came with, and the girl - or guy - that served it to me. #cantdecidesowilleatall

For all of your bisEXUALITY YOU'VE YET TO LET ME ROMANCE ONE OF YOUR MEN WITH ONE OF MY MEN. WHY AREN'T YOU PUTTING OUT FOR ME?!

*Shivers* Was... was that what it felt like to be entitled? Omg. Omg, no, never again. I'm so sorry Tundra ;3;

Gonna go call the nearest Catholic church to confess my sins. I'm thinking 10 hail Mary's.
