Ever just get so lost in your thoughts, you don’t notice the day pass by? And by the time you do, you’ve already lost that whole chunk of your life?

The squeaking of the lever was definitely enough to break Ilyssa’s slumber. While not thinking much of it at first, her curiosity is piqued upon noticing the bloody footprints on the floor. Pushing herself off the bed, she followed the noise to the bathroom door, just in time to witness the water becoming tainted with blood. The sight doesn’t seem to unnerve her, nor does the childish giggle, though she does seem to become more alert.
“Who are you? And if I may ask, what are you doing here?”

@Prima Luce

Nora had been pretty surprised at how diverse everyone’s powers were. From web shooting to a smokey mouth. She assumed that these were all just starting powers. If they weren’t, her ability seemed a lot more useless. She noticed everyone getting up to leave for the park, where something should be waiting for them. Most left the normal way, though there was that one kid who jumped out the window. She walked over, noting that there was a tree near the wall outside. The day’s events had been pretty surreal already, so she figured she might as well try this way out.
Stepping out onto the ledge, the shuffled over to the nearest branch. It was pretty small, but then again, so was she. Grabbing on to it, she swung herself on, nearly stabbing her eye out in the process. She continued down for a while, until her foot slipped off a wet branch. The rest of the journey down was finished quite quickly. Luckily, she had already been close to the ground before she fell.

Nova quickly stood, brushing herself off. Strolling over to the sidewalk, she realized she must’ve taken longer then she had thought. None of the other club members were visible to her. She sighed, a bit relieved. She had been hoping to walk by herself for now. If not anything else, it would help her get her thoughts in order. There was also the fact that she hadn’t had any actual food yet, and that would mean her soon growing irritable. She checked to make sure she still had her bag - she did - before making her way over to the nearest convenience store. She could grab a map there, as well as something to eat. If she found anything useful, she might as well grab that too. Heading in, she took the first sandwich she saw, as well as some water and a road map. She also tossed in a pack of superglue and a lighter, because you never know.
Finishing that up, she followed the directions on the map to Yume Park, which wasn’t too far of a walk. Granted, she could have used the bus, but she figured she could do with some exercise.

The park itself didn’t seem very strange, which Nova decided was fine. Not everything to do with the supernatural had to be over the top and fancy. Noticing one of the kids from the club, who she remembered having introduced himself as Akio, she determined she was in the correct place. That, and the sign to her right. She settled herself down on a bench somewhat near Akio, pulling out a novel she was reading to pass the time while she waited for the others.

“That’s a pretty name, albeit unusual. As for living here, I’m going to see if I find the area habitable. It seems middling so far, though it is just my first hour or so here.” Just as she finished speaking, the bell tower began to chime, spraying blood over a large radius. Ilyssa stood there, taking in the scene. After reading the message, she simply pulled her jacket over her head, offering a side to Vesania. Her face remained impassive, though her eyes betrayed her disgust at the scene.
Once the crowd began to move away from the tower, Ilyssa folded her jacket over an arm, letting her wings stretch. “Well, it was lovely meeting you, but I think I shall go and check the inn over there for a room to stay in. Perhaps if I’m lucky they’ll have a functioning bath.” She flicked some of the blood off her wings and began walking in the direction of the inn, her luggage dragging behind her.

The inn itself was unimpressive, though by the crowd around it you could believe it a palace. Shouldering her way through the door, Ilyssa made her way over to the innkeeper, placing down a couple gold coins on the table. The man nodded, his unkept hair flying all over the place. He handed her a key to one of the rooms, motioning to the stairwell behind him.
After a few mishaps and incorrect rooms, Ilyssa finally found her designated room. Just like the inn, the room itself was satisfactory, good for one or two nights before she’d be able to move out. Leaving her luggage on her small bed, the winged girl headed over to the bathroom, where she spent a large amount of time scrubbing the blood off her clothes and self. Once she finished, she pulled on a loose outfit, deciding to take a nap before searching for work.

@Dartbored Fairy to an extent

Ilyssa had listened carefully to Saito’s speech, filing the information he stated for later. The proof of his abilities was enough to reel her in, even if only for a short while. She was still sceptical that she, out of all people, would be able to fight these evil phenomena, but she chose to take his word for it. It wasn’t like she was just going to stand by while others got hurt.

The explanation ended, she eyed the stack of talismans on the desk. A drop of her blood, huh? Without looking if anyone else was moving forward, Ilyssa stood from her spot, walking to take a talisman. Shuffling through the stack, she found the one with her name written on it. Flipping it over, she read a small paragraph about her ancestry, nothing she wasn’t familiar with.

Onibi, also known as demon flames, are small blue flames that possess the ability to drain the life force from any living creature who happens to fall in their path. Onibi usually are created out of the dead bodies of humans and animals, though it is not known what process causes onibi to develop at some times and not others. Intense grudge and malice from one living person towards some other thing is also able to create onibi. Onibi are usually found more often during rainy seasons. Some Onibi have the ability to take on the form of a small bird.

She gingerly reached out a hand and grabbed a needle. She slowly raised a finger to the needle, a million thoughts racing through her mind. What if this was a scam? They might be trying to curse her, for all she knew. Yes, the guy had neat powers, but what if hers involved her exploding? She backed away from the others, in case that was the case. Deciding to ignore the rest of her worries, she quickly pricked her finger, pressing the pad to the center of the talisman, holding it up to her chest as directed. At first, nothing seemed to happen. Then she felt a small tug inside of her, like someone was pulling on her ribs. A tingling began to spread through her, starting from the area where the talisman was resting and spreading out to the rest of her body. It wasn’t pleasant, itchy really, but she didn’t move her hands from the talisman.

The tingling finally reached her hands, which began to shift temperature quickly. One second warm, the other freezing, then back to normal, and lo and behold, a small blue flame flickered in her palm. She gazed at it in wonder, letting it spread over one arm, then shift to the other. A grin slowly began to show, her distrust of the club fading. She looked at the president, giving him a genuine smile.

“Looks like you’ve got another believer. I’m ready to help out, if you truly think I can”

Ilyssa takes a small step backward, startled by the girl’s sudden appearance.
“Thank you. Well, I came here in search for a better life. If that involves helping others, I’ll gladly do so. Right now however, I’m searching for a place to stay the night.” She began to walk towards the town, just veering off course to grab her luggage. Right before she left, she seemed to have a thought, turning back to the purple haired lady.
“If I may ask, what is your name?”
