Norwegians were considered Danes at the time, raiding in the west. You could have had an ancestor looting an Irish church. I may or may not have Norse blood, I doubt it though. I do know a majority of my English blood is Anglo-Saxon as is my last name. Everything is pretty jumbled up there since Britain was invaded so much. That's so cool. I wish I knew more about how far back my roots go in the different countries blood lines come from.

Tell that to a norwegian and you'd find yourself with a bootprint on your ass. The Norwegian tribes where not considered Danes, there were different kings and Jarls for the different regions. Hell, Swedes were divided into Svear and Götar at the time. Denmark did have some of southern weden and norway for a while however. Around the same time Danes ruled parts of england.

It's pretty likely then, since you're family seems to have been there for many generations.

Mothers side has been here for at least 700 years according to research. Prolly more. So very likely.

Possibly on mothers side. We have Caroliners, the most badass lineinfantry to ever exist. Granadiers who were big guys with bombs. ANd Dragoons who were fierce cavalry. You cannot really trace past 1400's usually. People who say they have, are either royalty or nobles, or VERY LUCKY when it comes to records kept. I have Sami blood in my veins. Viking blood? Likely since I am 6'3, blonde nad blue eyed XD
