Personality:
James has a strong sense of morality. In fact, he may be the manifestation of the phrase "moral compass", and combine that with his steadfastness. He could be one of the most stubborn people you ever meet. However, you can trust James not to betray something that he believes in, and if he wants to accomplish something, then he goes for it without it until he accomplishes it or finds out that its impossible. That is what you would know about James if you were close to him. To strangers, James appears to be a formal, polite, and dedicated person to the point where it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Biography:
Born in the US during its apex, James grew with the US' former wealth and prosperity. He had a simple, but idyllic life of an American in the biggest city in the world. Still. one notable thing that made James different from most other kids around his age was the fact that he had a strong sense of independence. It wasn't a mere sense of rebellion that teens go through. He truly wanted to be independent and have control of his life. So, when it came time to go to college, he joined the US ROTC program to pay for his tuition and all 4 years of college. He didn't want to rely on his parents, who at that time returned to the Republic of Korea. James had his life planned out.He would finish ROTC, go serve his required 4 years, and start working at a decent company with good pay.

What he didn't expect what that he would come to love the military life. It was the only place where he could feel the sense of duty, obligation, and unity, which appealed to his sense of morality. He came to love the tradition and values that the military instilled in its soldiers. On top of that, once he finished ROTC and college, he came to find that he had substantial amounts of freedom in active duty as an officer. All he was told was that he had to get something done by a certain time. How he did it and with what was completely up to him. He served his 4 years in Korea since it was a 'relatively' peaceful area, he could see his family, and he wouldn't just be sitting at a desk job. Plus, his multi-lingual capabilities proved to be useful in the area.

When he finally left the army and joined the work force back in the US. He came to find the US in decline. The economy was bad... it would be hard to find a job, and on top of that the unrest and distrust of the American people could be felt just by walking down the street. Then came the US' deployment of soldiers on its own people. James couldn't justify serving for the US military when its government was incompetent. Thus, with little job opportunities and unwilling to serve the US military, James left the US, and became a citizen of the Republic of Korea. The Republic of Korea has an interesting law. Any Koreans born outside the nation can become a Korean citizen as long as they serve 2 years in the military. James quickly took this offer, and served his 2 years. The ROK Army had placed James at the DMZ due to his linguistic capabilities. Two years passed with little problems other than the occasional firefights that randomly broke out between the two Koreas. Time came when James could leave the military and work as a Korean citizen, but at the same time he was offered by the Korean Army to continue his service as a career officer. James agreed since all he knew at this point was the military, and he loved it. He has since continued his service with a promotion from 2nd Lt. to 1st. Lt.

XCOM Enemy Unknown Season 1: The Coming Storm

Is there any more space in this? I'm really interested since I just bought and played through Xcom: Enemy Unknown. Was a bit too short, but challenging. I got lucky with my second wave stuff. I picked the two options where recruits start with random stats and growth was randomized too. One of my first soldiers turned out to have 85 Aim and pretty good will. She later on became my best psi-user as well. Her ending stats were 86 Will and 115 Aim.

Article I - From this date henceforth, the Empire of the Great Qing and Japan shall recognise one another as equal and sovereign nations, between which friendship and trust shall exist eternally.

Section I - The Ryukyu Kingdom's tributary status with the Great Qing shall come to an end, and underneath its status as a vassal to the Satsuma Domain shall be reconfigured into the Ryukyu Domain; the Great Qing shall recognise the incorporation of Ryukyu into Japan.
Section II - The Kingdom of Joseon shall remain as a loyal vassal of the Great Qing; Japan shall recognise the Great Qing's eternal suzerainty over each of its vassals.
Section III - Japan shall recognise Formosa and the Diaoyu Islands as the indisputable territories of the Great Qing; the Great Qing shall recognise the Liancourt rocks and the Tsushima Islands as the indisputable territories of Japan;
Section IV - Japan shall establish foreign relations with Joseon; the Great Qing shall establish a consulate in the Ryukyu Domain.

Article II - The signatories of this treaty shall commence and maintain a military alliance with one another. The military alliance requires the signatories of the treaty to provide military support and assistance towards other signatories in the event of an attack upon a signatory.

Section I - During times of war, members of the alliance shall be allowed to freely traverse through and station military soldiers in one another's territory.
Section II - Signatories promise not to enter into separate agreements with other powers to the prejudice of this alliance.
Section III - In a sign of friendship and trust, the Great Qing shall gift the Japanese navy with one transport junk in order to facilitate Japanese travel through the high seas

Article III - The signatories of this treaty shall freely open up their ports and markets and shall grant one other favourable trading conditions. Citizens shall be allowed unimpeded trade and business throughout the territory of each signatory.

Yea, I'm now Japan. The thing that confuses me though is that although Meiji hasn't started officially... I'm the Emperor rather than a Tokugawa Shogun. I mean it kind of makes sense since near the end of the shogunate, the Emperor argueably had more power and control of Japan.
