👺 Goblin Quest

Lothar looked around the others as they began to stir. In fact, a few of them were eager to leave the cave, which... Lothar wasn't too sure was the brightest idea. It was clear that they were growing a lot, but who knew what was out there. There was one clear advantage that they had, and it was the numbers. However, even that could present issues. Lothar walked by the goblins, giving short greetings. Until he came across a queer sight. Two goblins looked like they were trying to move the cave as they pulled on a spiky piece of rock that jutted up in the edges of the cave. What were their names... Lothar tried to remember what the Elder called them. "Ah, Oleg and Nic... what are you two doing?" Oleg, a rather strong looking goblin considering that they were all roughly three days old, loudly said "Oleg smart and strong. Wuz about to leave, but Nic had idea. Nic handy. Nic make pointy stick for Oleg. Oleg gonna go hunt with Nic's pointy. We share food." Nic silently nodded, as if he were content with Oleg's explanation.

Lothar nodded as well "That's a good idea. Maybe we should hunt together? If we have a lot of goblins hunting together, then we can catch a bigger animal. I wonder if the others would be interested too... but yea. How about it. You two wanna hunt together? Maybe we can get a big hunting party together and have a feast."

Appearance:Lothar is a pretty average looking goblin with dark green skin and hazelnut eyes. Like most Goblins, he has a face that only his mother would love, but his features are pretty rounded and not sharp.

Personality:Lothar is a pretty jovial goblin who tends to crack jokes and tries to not take anything too seriously. Even when things are bad he often resorts to dark humor to try to lighten the mood a bit since worrying too much is an issue as well. Regardless, he's a pretty helpful person and enjoys working in groups as he's rather social and admittedly a good team can usually accomplish much more than what a single person can.

Past Life:Lothar in his past life was a young, successful banker. He tended to get along well with others and learned many different languages to communicate with others. Unfortunately, he met his demise in the midst of a mugging when one of the muggers was clearly jittery and prematurely pulled the trigger.

Parade in the Palace of Artois

The establishment of the Continental Alliance was an achievement of the ages. It had not only brought two historical enemies together in a mutual defense pact, but FOUR nations of Europe, promising to uphold the peace and prosperity of the continent. Not only that, the members of the alliance also began to talk of sending their own armies to join the Crusading Attolian Army in driving away the invading Dashkatar and Hijeen forces from the Kingdom of Sescos and the continent as a whole. The King of Aontas seemed particularly fervent and eager in sending men to fight the Hijeen after joining the defensive alliance. Emperor Lothair II was elated at the news. It seemed that the tides were finally turning, and just in time to save the Kingdom of Sescos from the brink of destruction. However, there was still much to do and a grand parade was held in Attolia to raise awareness of the alliance and to increase support and popularity of the war effort. The Attolian Guard stood ready to protect the Empire as usual.

But, without a doubt, Lothair believed that the Crusade would not end with driving the Dashkatar off Europe. Nay, he believed that the Crusade would likely continue into the heart of the Dashkatar. He did not seek to merely win this fight. No, he wanted to win this fight and all future fights with the Dashkatar. This was an ambitious goal, but with the Oflua-Illistari Coalition and the joint-Attolian-Echyan Army coming to support them in the face of the 2nd Dashkatar Army. Europe appeared to stand a chance as his Holiness was also expected to send soldiers over to aid in the Crusade as well.

Battle for Titania

Adm. Wolff stood on the bridge of the Enterprise and looked at the slowly growing settlement before him. It had been two months since they landed on this island that they now call Wolffstown, a play on the old English colony of Jamestown. In that time, they had shelters set up and the beginnings of farms taking root in these new lands. Initial forays deeper into the island revealed that a lot of the life was a lot bigger than back on Earth. They occasionally caught sight of giant crabs, and some strange plants that were a lot like potatoes and rice in the old world. They seemed to be safe for consumption. Regardless, they had to rebuild and establish infrastructure. For now, the USS Enterprise served as a giant, floating nuclear power plant. But work was being done to see if the settlement can have power independent from the carrier. But a source of energy would have to be found such as a large river, coal, or oil. For now, steam engines were being used to provide some mechanization and power since wood was plentiful. They had begun to make charcoal from the trees in a rather primitive manner.

Regardless, with a settlement established, the USN could focus on expanding. Their basic needs were being met and they seemed to be safe on this island. The USS Wilson and USS Mercy had just set off the other day after unloading all the equipment and passengers that they carried. They were going back to the old world to pick up more settlers and equipment like solar panals and machinery if possible. Granted, they had stripped a lot of what was left in the old world before coming, but these finished goods were very valuable seeing how a lot of people were starting from scratch. In fact, the USN was blessed to be able to provide power without relying on fossil fuels. There was another blessing as the USS Mercy was equipped with some of the best medical equipment in the old world. Thus, the settlement quickly had the most advanced hospital in the new world as much of this equipment was taken off the ship and into the new hospital of Wolffstown.

But, having a source of oil or even coal would be extremely helpful. Thus, the Marine Expeditionary Forces were sending out platoons deeper into the island to scout out the area along with some of the Engineers and Scientists of the USS Laramie. Not to mention that the Enterprise was also using its two UAVs to provide aerial recon around the region as well. Thus, with their new homes established, the men and women of the USN were working on making their new homes a better place.

Summary:

The USS Wilson (Destroyer) and the USS Mercy (Hospital Ship) unloaded all their equipment and non-naval personnel and have left to go back to the Old World to pick up more people and equipment.

The USN's Expeditionary Force is patrolling around the new settlement of Wolffstown and sending scouts, led by Capt. Abrams, deeper into the island to find more resources with the scientists and engineers of the Laramie. They have aerial support from the USS Enterprise.

The civilians work on establishing the settlement's infrastructure and stable source of food.
