  • Name: Frank 'Doc' DuFresne
  • Universe: Red vs Blue
  • Appearance: "OBLIVION!"
  • Personality: Doc is usually very calm and collected, and was a pacifist and timid until he was accidentally struck by a teleportation grenade. This had an impact on his sanity, as he stated that he 'lost his mind, found it, and then lost it again.' Following his return, Doc's realisation of how little his friends actually valued him has resulted in a facsimile of the O'Malley personality surfacing, born out of Doc's own subconscious as opposed to A.I. implementation. Similar to Omega, the seemingly natural O'Malley personality does not overtake Doc's, but instead, much like before, engages in banter with him. Despite the continuous claims of villainy and tyranny however, Doc continues to act as an ally to the Blood Gulch Troopers while acting under the O'Malley personality.
  • Abilities: While Doc's medical skills are questionable, he has nonetheless managed to heal several characters successfully. He is also very tough, to the point of near-invulnerability, having taken some of the worst punishment and survived with few injuries. Doc is capable of running faster than most other soldiers, and has shown to be very agile. Though not the smartest character, Doc is very clever. For example, he convinced Command to give him his own rank. He is often seen with his medical scanner, which can detect injuries and diagnose physiological problems. Other than this, it can be used to heal and treat injuries. It can fire an overcharged shot as its secondary ability, which can paralyse targets for a short time. His Standard-issue Freelancer Armour protects him from a majority of injuries, and contains systems such as a motion tracker.
    • UNSC M41 Surface-to-Surface Rocket Medium Anti-Vehicle/Assault Weapon: Doc's main offensive weapon, a double-barrelled rocket launcher. It has a 2x magnification scope and fires 102mm HEAT shaped charges over long distances with devastating firepower, although its accuracy decreases over time. Its projectiles deal heavy explosive damage, and it has the ability to lock on to targets, which allows rockets to home in on to targets and detonate.
  • Alliance: Team Charmeine
  • Other: Appears some time after getting found in Season 13.
I'll use another one, then.

  • Name: Saitama
  • Universe: One Punch Man
  • Appearance: "OK."
  • Personality: Despite being the strongest hero to ever live, Saitama is quite indifferent. Since his foes pose no threat to him, he is easily bored once he starts defeating them with a single hit. As he has no one to challenge him, he has slipped into a self-imposed existential crisis, and claims that his abilities to feel emotions has dulled considerably. He stated that he just became a hero because it was his dream and for self-satisfaction and that before becoming one, he used to suffer from anxiety issues. Despite his boredom, Saitama does not ignore crime. He is also humble and selfless, allowing a watching crowd to turn on him just to let some defeated heroes claim some credit. Another surprising thing about Saitama is that he is surprisingly tactful and insightful, being well able to discern situations and character traits from the people and environment around him fairly easily.
  • Abilities: Saitama is the strongest hero to live, and his almost invulnerable. Saitama's only power is that his body is far beyond human limits, allowing him to achieve astounding physical feats. He is able to defeat opponents with a single punch, and often time his foes simply explode when struck. However, he normally holds back just to have a decent fight. A single "serious" punch is able to somehow counter Boros's destructive energy beam attack, and split the sky in half along the whole planet effortlessly, and even then, Boros, who was the fatally injured victim of the said move, said that Saitama had plenty of strength to spare and that he did not even try to give it his best shot. He is also extremely fast, being able to run at hypersonic speeds, and is able to react to faster attacks. He is so fast that he leaves afterimages in his wake. He is immune to most attacks, such as electrical and psychic. To add to this, Saitama has shown to possess incredible willpower, even before he started training. He had the will to remove his natural limiter during training, even after receiving grievous injuries.
  • Alliance: Team Charmeine
  • Other: He comes from the end of the first season of One Punch Man, after defeating Boros.
A canon player character counts, right?

  • Name: Vandor, the Last Dragonborn
  • Universe: The Elder Scrolls
  • Appearance: Vandor is a young man in his early twenties with pale blue eyes that glow violet due to his dragon soul, and has short light brown hair that goes down to his neck. He is mostly clean-shaven, though many scars dot his face, most notably a set of scars above and on his right lip. He stands at the average height of six feet two for most Nords, and has a muscular build. He has been described by many innkeepers he had previously performed for as being rather handsome, and ‘the kind the ladies like’. Armour wise, Vandor wears a full set of ebony armour, minus a helmet that shows his face. An Amulet of Talos hangs around his neck.
  • Personality: Vandor is a kind and outgoing individual with the drive to do what he feels is right, although he still has a naive side due to his relatively young age. While this would make him disarmingly friendly, many forget that he is the Dragonborn of legend, meaning that he still has some elements of a dragon’s personality, namely the love of destruction and minor greed. While Vandor has managed to keep this from showing, it has surfaced on multiple occasions when he was angered. According to an old innkeeper and several town guards in Falkreath, a group of mercenaries had decided to harass the bard while he was performing. Unfortunately, they had unknowingly angered the Dragonborn, the man who had saved all of Nirn on multiple occasions. While the residents cannot be certain, records state that the mercenaries were either literally shouted apart, burnt to cinders, frozen and then shattered, or had their souls ripped out. Vandor was said to have calmly sat in the middle of the carnage, calming eating a sweetroll. At least he had the decency to pay for the damage. He has dreams of becoming the best bard in all of Skyrim.
  • Abilities: Vandor is a talented bard and warrior, extremely proficient with a blade. He is also an experienced mage, being well-versed in the art of destruction magic, casting powerful spells at enemies. He has also been shown to be a good archer, having a keen eye for detail. According to him, he once hit a rabbit from two-hundred yards away during a blizzard, at night. Vandor wields the legendary sword Dawnbreaker of the Daedric prince Meridia. Its rain guard glows with infinite energy. Dawnbreaker bears the unique enchantment known as Meridia’s Retribution, which may cause targets to explode. This blast damages any nearby undead. With his, he carries around Auriel’s Bow, another legendary weapon which works well against undead creatures. He also carries the Wanderer’s Lute, an ancient family heirloom passed down from generation to generation. The lute is of clearly ancient design, with a longer and thinner neck than those of modern design. It has a black body resembling a stag beetle. When played, the lute has an effect on the user and allies, though the effects differ and depend on the type of song played. The effects can range from healing allies to making them fight harder.
  • Alliance: Team Charmeine
  • Other: Starts off after completing the main quest and every DLC.
In the late 23rd century, humanity achieved the impossible. We had successfully crafted a solution to work around the limits of sublight space travel. It is called RIFT, Relative Interdimensional Field Travel, which breaks the laws of reality itself by cutting a tear in the fabric of space and time, allowing a spacecraft to pass through, essentially taking a shortcut through space. This allowed humanity's government, the United Earth Government, to colonise hundreds upon thousands of planets in an incredibly short amount of time.

In 2841, Project RIFTGATE is activated to further explore the dimensional transversal effects of ship-mounted RIFT drives. We wanted to see what other kinds of alternate dimensions the RIFT portal led us. As an added safety measure, a company of armed marines were stationed around the research facility where the project was being worked on. The plans were to send in an expedition into the portal, set up camp, and gather information, maybe even use the area as a training ground.

Of course, no one, not even the science team knew that the portal would lead to a world where impossible creatures roam, and magic that defies the laws of physics is commonplace. Or that they would enter into a world where three warring kingdoms are on the brink of war.

Sometimes, politics makes strange bedfellows.

---------------------------

Welcome to Strange Bedfellows, a Sci-Fi Fantasy crossover RP inspired by the GATE series of magna and anime. Here, you take control of a kingdom of your choice, and can play multiple characters, from the mighty royal leaders to the lowliest peasant. Your kingdoms are on the brink of war when the RIFT portal opens up right in the middle of the land controlled by your kingdoms, around the borders of each. There, you can play as anyone, say, a character in a nearby village sees the portal and panics. You can play as him/her. You can make up characters as you go.

Interested?
Seems interesting. Can I join?
So anyone interested in an alternate scenario for this RP I'm thinking of starting?
"I've just received more transmissions, commander. One from what I presume is the Vorascant's captain, Coalescent Carina Hamp of the Advent. She's requesting boarding instructions. It appears that she is arriving on a single-man fighter. I don't think she's bringing any escorts." Nikolai reported. Powers simply sighed. "Make sure to tell the hangar control crew this. They know more than I do." What are the others?" Nikolai took a second to broadcast a message to the Advent craft, before coming back to the captain.

"Coalescent Carina Hamp of the Advent, this is artificial intelligence program Nikolai of the UEGNC Paramount.I have sent a route to your craft's navigation system. Simply follow the marker to the waypoint destination."

"I've got one more. This one is from another craft leaving the Spirit of Wind. Unarmed, it seems. It is requesting permission to dock. The message is rather strange, as it is composed of chopped up previous transmissions." Powers raised an eyebrow at that. "I'm granting it permission. From the chopped up messages, I'm assuming that they can't speak our language."

"That is correct, as of now. I think I can communicate with them. Most A.I. constructs speak the same language."

"Unknown artificial construct, this is A.I. Nikolai of the UEGNC Paramount. Can you understand me?"

Nikolai broadcast the message non-vocally, using electrical signals instead. Most A.I.s communicated with each other this way, though most of the time they vocally conversed with each other, mostly due to the fact that humans and other squishy beings found it more appealing and natural. Not that it was needed, of course. The non-speaking robots spoke to each other in bleeps and whistles. Cameras and sensors picked up a pair of small unarmed craft heading towards the massive ship. "Captain, transports from the Intrepid and Oblivion have arrived."

In the hangar bay, Powers and Cornell traded a look. "Safeties off?" Cornell asked. Powers fidgeted with his chest of several medals for a second. "No." He said, looking at the power-armoured marine major. "The Vaskran War may have been the result of mistaken identity, and as much as we don't want another eight years of bloody conflict, I'm not taking any chances. So keep the safeties of your weapons off and get ready to shoot if debris hits the pulsar wave emitter." The major nodded and turned to the gathered marines.

"Alright people, listen up! Keep the safeties of your toys off, but don't get trigger happy! I know most of your served at some point during the Vaskran War, and we don't want another eight years of fighting a bunch of seven-foot tall, six-eyed lizard aliens now, do we?" He was answered by a chorus of 'sir, no sir!'. "And remember, if these diplomats try anything stupid, don't hesitate to tear them a new one... on my order, of course!"

"Oorah!" The marines all answered in unison. "Always remember the UEGNC motto: We go first! Ibimus Primum!"

"Ibimus Primum!"

Cornell nodded in satisfaction as he turned around back to face Powers. "That's what I wanted to hear." He told the captain. Powers nodded in agreement and put a hand on one of the major's golden shoulder pads. "Nice to see that you're the same person even after all these years."

Several orange lights flashed as a pair of small and sleek blue and white craft glided through the plasma membrane and into the hangar bay, where the ship's artificial gravity immediately took over, allowing the pair to gently touch down onto the metallic landing area. They were small, around half the size of a Talon, and appeared to be unarmed, though Powers didn't want to assume that just yet. Like the vehicles of the UEGNC, they appeared to be propelled by a series of repulsor engines. "Smaller than I expected." Powers heard Cornell say, when the doors of one slid open. Powers' hand unconsciously hovered over his sidearm, while his other had a final adjustment to his cap.

A pair of humanoids stepped out, each one wearing a spacesuit. They were very lightly armed, with each one holding nothing more than a simple handgun. However, when they took of their helmets, Powers, and Cornell, and basically every other marine and crew member close enough, immediately took notice that they were anything but human, despite their initial similarities. One of them had shaggy white hair and a pair of cat-like ears which sprouted from his head. And... was that a tail?

The other one had a pair of horns resembling those from that ancient animal on Earth, the ram. They curled from his forehead, and he had a pair of goat-like ears and tufts of grey-tan hair. At least this one didn't have a tail. At least not a visible one.

Powers said nothing, too surprised by this bizarre species of human-animal hybrids, and no one else did either. Out of the corner of his eye, Powers saw Cornell's trigger twitch. The captain quickly got over his momentary surprise and stared at the major and old friend. "I know what you're thinking, but don't do it."

Cornell growled, but said nothing. The ram-thing said something to the tiger alien softly enough for Powers to be unable to make out, and stepped closer. Powers immediately adopted his usual professional posture, as did Cornell. "You must be representatives from the Intrepid. I am Captain Leonard Powers, and on behalf of the United Earth Government Naval Command, we welcome you on board one of our finest ships, the Paramount." He stuck out his hand, but it went to his ear when Nikolai came to report, and he sounded slightly worried.

"Captain, I'm tracking two small fast-movers, closing in fast!" Powers looked away. "Fighters?"

"No, too small for that. Uh, they're going into the hangar!" Not even a second later, the unknown objects that look a bit like oddly-shaped missiles shot through the bottom of the hangar, startling the gathered marines and Powers. They stopped just shy of the ceiling. Of course, automated ceiling turrets immediately deployed and locked on to the pair almost immediately and flashed red, but they did not fire. The pair then landed on the floor in front of the Paramount crew and two parties of diplomats. Now, Powers could see that they looked like ancient spacesuits. Then one addressed him directly. "Greetings from the glorious Soviet Union!"

Cornell acted purely on reflex, almost instantly hefting his assault rifle and aiming it directly at the suit, but was stopped by Powers, who shoved the gun away. "Don't." The gun shook in Cornell's tense arms, but was lowered when his they relaxed. That issue sorted out, the turrets folded back into the ceiling and Powers turned back to the pair. "Yes. Welcome aboard the UEGNC Paramount. I'm Captain Leonard Powers."
