I'm so happy, found two orphan newborn kittens and was able to put them in with a nursing momma cat and she adopted them right away!

I know you're loathe to accept this, but you actually make us laugh sometimes. And at the very least I never actually physically cringe over your posts, like I have been with some of the newbies.I dunno, I think people are noticing that when we're all too nice there's room for absolute idiocy to slip through. All those who were the resident "magnificent bastards", or just dickheads, used to #rek morons. We criticised them for being that way, but didn't quite realise it was what protected us from too much 13-year-old stupidity, or that it actually helped create our community by way of the fact that those who 'survived' the 'hazing' were generally of a certain type and quality. People are just now realising that the payoff for tolerance and kindness to one another is inviting less-wanted folk in and having to tolerate them too, and the backlash against that is a combination of increased harshness to newcomers (Idle-senpai been so mad these past few days D:) and in general, as well as making a big shitstorm out of it. The fear is that this isn't just a summer swarm anymore, but, because of the changing dynamic of this community, will become a permanent fixture.
I've been sassy but not angry. I'm just tired of the bullshit and I'm not going to ignore it entirely. I've noticed improvements and/or the scarcity of some of the new folks I gave a hard time to last week. Thank you, Mole for easing up on the ellipses. That beaning said, I'm not here to haze people but I'm also not going to let a bunch of shit posting drag down Spam anymore than it is. Looks like Nat's gone and all his clones need to stay gone as well. Maybe we don't need to be assholes but we do have to maintain some semblance of standards here. Most of the vanguard that once kept shit posting in check are gone and you see what happened when it was allowed to go unchecked.
