So how the work day going for you, Idle?

It's good you like what you do, that helps a lot. I don't hate my job but I don't get much satisfaction out of it. It's easy, probably the easiest job I've ever had. But it's boring and repetative and I don't really care for the business.

I hope it works out, it's a tough road but at least we own the land outright. Which is a huge help.

Maybe I'll take some accounting courses to help out that way, but I hate math. :(

He's a mechanic and basically he wants to start off by buying cars and fixing them up to running condition and selling them for under $3,000. That's a price a lot of people can get the cash to pay up front and it keeps it under the IRS cap. If our neighborhood gets rezoned to commercial/residential like we think it might, then he'll probably build a shop on the empty lot next to the house.

It's a job. It helps pay the bills. I'd like to go back and finish my bachelor's degree in history and write books but that's a far off dream. Right now it's just about saving up and trying to get our house in order and get my husband's business going. Maybe, maybe after that, I can go back.

I hate it and I've done it for over five years now. It is why I write when I can.

Fairytale Noir: New Arcadia

Name: Lila Cane aka Kandi Kiss

Age: 25

Appearance: 5'7'', slender build, pretty underneath her garish makeup. Dark brown eyes, very pale skin. Wears lot of wigs or extentions of brightly colored hair, favors rave clothing and plastic bead jewelry. On her wrists are a number of bracelets, including several with names made of lettered beads.

Skills/Traits: Owns the rave club called Sugar Rush, a very popular place that has a candy theme complete with copious dealing of tabs of X, LSD, hash candy, various pills and booze. Kandie is a witch and she uses her skills at luring the young and foolish to her club. Most have a good time and a hangover the next day, some have been known to disappear time to time, vanishing into the ether.

Personality: Sugar and vice, and everything nice is what Kandi is made of. She's very colorful, flashy, attractive and fun to be around but she also has several nasty habits. Drugs and booze are just the tip of her appetites.

History: Kandie's background is shrouded in shadow, she does not have much of a paper trail. Her last known residence was a small bar set up along a backwater road in a forest. Now, she's in the big city and the success of her club and other nefarious endevours has brought her the attention she both craves and fears. While she enjoys her popularity and influx of patrons to her club, it also brings eyes she would rather not have looking at her. The city has two major crime bosses, either one of them could demand 'protection' money and now there was a so called Black Queen to deal with. All of it was bad for business, she had customers with very specific tastes and the greatest of need for secrecy.
