Aribelle was about to pull back as the girl went out to stroke her face, but she decided not to, sensing no malicious intent in her actions. The guards appeared to be on edge at this interaction, but did nothing other than grip their weapons more tightly and watch with nervous apprehension. The girl was then taken to her quarters and Aribelle was able to at last make it into the dinning hall. She'd want to see more of that girl later on, but for right now all she wanted to see was those delicious sweat rolls.

"Thank you," she said to the ranger, sitting down in her seat at the front of the table. Without further adieu she dug into her meal with great gusto, not caring how she was viewed by others. She was used to good meals so this wasn't overly special other than the fact that it was so long awaited and a part of a special ceremony. As the meal was drawing to a close, some were beginning to leave to carry out whatever plans they had in store for the rest of the day, leaving the table more and more bare both of people and the large quantities of food that was slowly dwindling down to table scraps. Aribelle made sure to help eat a lot of the leftovers, snatching hold of anything that caught her interest.

At this point she would normally have preferred to go to her room and relax, but now she had work to do. She turned to Alex, making sure to chew whatever was in her mouth before speaking.

"So, it seems like you'd like to extend your hand in an alliance between our two kingdoms in order to combat the dwarven forces?" She questioned, which was more just to bring up the subject.
I edited my above post. I added in a weakness to onions and due to being underground she can't transform, which requires the moon to be out. Her physical abilities were also changed.
Name- Layte Faurrows
Age- 82
Gender- Female
Race- Feln Talloraught. Her race is based off of jackalopes, called the Feln Talloraught, and were at one time only in that form rather than the humanoid form they can take on today. Using their mythical power of foresight (this isn't part of the original jackalope myth), they were able to thwart an assassination on a man who would eventually become king of a grand nation. In return for their good deeds he had his best wizards grant them even more magical power and part of his kingdom. They were loyal subjects, although upon seeing foresights of them become too powerful they have limited their reproduction to avoid possible chances for them to conquer the world in the future.

Personality- She's a loner who doesn't trust people easily, often responding with aggression when feeling threatened. She doesn't have much experience talking with others so might behave reserved or oddly when trying to strike up a conversation if she's placed into that position for whatever reason. She's intelligent but just doesn't understand others well, so might choose topics not normally discussed or try making bad puns when she doesn't know what else to say. Most of the time to make it easier on herself she just stays silent unless she feels like she has to say something. She's very brave who tries to do the right thing when possible, even if she's a poor judge of situations from time to time.

Appearance- She appears like a bronze skinned human woman in her late 20's combined with features of an animal similar to a jackalope. Her hair is like a dark brown animal's fur which extends upwards onto her thin flexible ears that are roughly a foot long. They bend backwards when she's threatened or angry, droop forward when sad or sleepy, stand straight up when surprised, and wiggle around when excited, although this is rare. Otherwise the ears just stay relatively upwards with a slight, relaxed tilt forward near the top. She has yellow eyes with slit iris's found beneath sharp eyelids that look both fierce and exotic, the same which can be said for the rest of her facial features. She has a long, pointy nose and thin lips with sharp teeth, although she does have flat molars. Besides her ears she also has elk-like horns.

She looks a little slim and dainty at first glance, but upon further examination her muscles are just more compact and athletic, giving her a firm stance. She has fur the same as on her head running down the back of her neck and shoulders, on her hands that run up the forearms, her feet that run up the shins, and on her lower back/pelvic region. Her tail is small and bushy. Her feet are like a rabbit's but with four sharp talons on front for her four toes, elongated and often standing on the balls of her feet for explosive energy. Her hands are large like a man's, has five fingers (including thumbs) and has sharp talons like her feet.

Abilities- Most of her enhanced physical abilities come from her legs, allowing her to sprint at speeds of up to 25 miles per hour for very short distances or 20 miles an hour for normal top speed. She can kick at the maximum force of a human, although her arm strength is only that of an average trained soldier. Her endurance is nothing special, mostly keeping up with her higher levels of physical activity but no special bonuses past that, making her get tired quickly if she tries to push her limits for too long.

Her reactions and healing time is twice as fast as humans. All of her senses are enhanced five times over humans besides her sense of pain (which is normal). Her hearing works for a wider range of frequencies and she has night vision.
Like most of her tribe she's been trained since she was only 9 years old for combat, although only began serious training at 14. Her style relies on maneuverability and kicking attacks in a hit and run kind of way rather then standing and fighting, which she could do against normal opponents but would likely lose to those skilled in such ways of fighting. She's had plenty of years to become highly proficient with the bow, staffs, hammers, single handed swords that look similar to scimitars, daggers both melee and throwing, and javelins. However, she's best at Clawed Gauntlets, weapons that she holds onto and straps onto her forearms that has four large steel claws extending one and a half feet in front of her hands.

She's very good at sneaking around, darting from cover to cover. Unfortunately she lacks a bit in the patience category that limits how long she'd be willing to just hide around in a box or something.

She can survive on her own out in the wilderness, having knowledge of poisonous berries, tracking, navigating by stars, etc.

Powers- She's not very good with magic but does have some capability with the fire variety. It gets her exhausted quickly and requires the upmost of concentration. Besides her fire magic she has a few others that come naturally to her race so doesn't require as much energy and comes easily to her.

Flare Bomb- A glowing orb of fire about the size of a tennis ball flies out of her hand and can explode with the force of an average grenade. The ball can travel at 50 miles an hour in a straight line, lasting 3 seconds or until it hits something, either way causing it to explode. She could delay when she sends it off if she wants it to go off before 3 seconds of travel. It requires 8 seconds of charge time, during which time she concentrates as it forms in her hand. She has enough energy to fire 4 or so before she starts getting very exhausted.

Flaming Fur- After 8 seconds of charge time concentrating, her body can catch on fire that doesn't harm her but can harm others like normal fire. The fire lasts for around 30 seconds before going out, causing her fur to be smoking for another second or so. She can only do this once every half hour.

Flame Copy- After 8 seconds of charge time, up to 3 "clones" of herself made out of fire form within 4 feet of her. They can fight based on pure destructive instinct until their bodies burn themselves out and turn to smoke 20 seconds later. She can only do this once every half hour. The fire clones are weak to anything fire would be weak too and not effected by anything that wouldn't effect fire.

Transform- She can transform form what looks like a jackalope (a rabbit with horns and is about the size of a small dog) to her humanoid form or vice versa. If going from jackalope to humanoid it takes 5 seconds or 2 seconds if going from humanoid to jackalope. She can turn one way and back only once every time the moon is out. It doesn't cost her much energy, so consider it negligible. Any damage done on one form remains on the other.
Foresight- Available in her jackalope form, she can see the future (3 seconds) of things that effect her. Some of her race have different strengths and weaknesses to their foresight. Her's isn't particularly powerful.

Weaknesses- Her senses can be a little too sensitive for her own good on occasion, causing her to be harmed, or at least way more uncomfortable by loud noises, bright lights, and horrible odors. Under normal circumstances it isn't a problem though.

She tends not to use very good teamwork.

Jackalopes are allergic to onion. Even the odor, if intense enough, can incapacitate them.

History-

Layte is a rather young individual of her race but treated like an adult from an early age, as normal in their culture. She became a scout to protect her kingdom from the many threats that would show themselves, using the advanced foresight of her brethren to know where to scout to best intercept and destroy the enemy before they could do any damage. Unfortunately one of the foresights was wrong, cutting her off from the rest of her kingdom, killing the rest in her squad and nearly killing her as well. Trapped in the wilderness she has had to survive against many threats while trying to get back to the kingdom and warn them of the wrong prediction.

As it turns out it wasn't wrong and that Feln Talloraught was actually a traitor who saw Layte as getting in his way to take over the kingdom. That prediction wasn't wrong either, as she arrived just in time to slay him before he could assassinate the king. Somehow he had disrupted the foresight of the others and Layte didn't rely on it to figure out what was really going on. She was promoted to the kings personal bodyguard after this incident, a position she still retains to this day.

However, during one scouting mission she ended up being knocked unconscious and kidnapped, awaking to find herself in a deep dungeon. Without the moon out she couldn't take on her jackalope form, being stuck in her humanoid body until she could somehow manage an escape.
You guys can go off into your own plots amongst yourselves. The queen will be negotiating with Alex. If you guys end up with nothing left to do then we can start a major plot with the introduction of some assassins or dwarves arriving.
Her original speed was probably overboard anyways, even for her rabbit legs. What else would need nerfing?
I could use an alternate timeline Redden, but that would require a whole nother (whole nother...I heard that phrase but it doesn't sound grammatically accurate...) sheet, so I might just want to create a new character related to him with that effort or put in a character that would require far less changes. For example, I do happen to have a weapon master around that would benefit greatly from the loot we might find. All I have to do (from what I can tell) is decrease her physical abilities and make her not be able to transform to remove her overpowered foresight ability.
If they can travel there without dying then Redden could have done so on a mission or just to kill a specific demon. I'm not sure he'd be sent to hell, being a priest and all.

It's deep underground and ruled by a demon so who knows.
Do the characters get into this situation due to dying and being sent to hell? Or did they just stumble into this demon's dungeun? Or were they kidnapped?
If you guys need an additional person to join I could come in with my priest in a weakened state. He has an intense rivalry with demons already. But then again he doesn't really rely on weapons either, using his powers, so it might not fit in in that regard. Too bad he both fits in perfectly and doesn't fit in at the same time. I'll likely just have to use a different character.

Edit: Maybe he has an apprentice. A...psycho nun who's a weapon master?
Edit: I could say he becomes un-possessed so that's why he looses his powers and relies on weapons, but that might take away a lot of his coolness.

i mean more like the realistic peak, rather than the way comic books sometimes portray it.

The strongest guy could lift around 1,000 pounds, but that's not realistic for most people, and of course he couldn't do anything after lifting that weight, putting all his strength into lifting so couldn't move it around, throw it, etc, which would limit the usefulness.
