The chef might be best left to an NPC anyways unless someone has some awesome idea how to incorporate them into a relevant character.

I'll google about the vessel engine tomorrow, but if nobody else here is really interested in it then it will be on hold indefinitely.

I drew another race that I made up as I went and then added some slight information about them, but stopped because I'm going to bed soon and I might as well focus on other stuff before I do more about them. They're called the Reimear and may end up being a good villain race for an episode or two. I'll probably give them something like the Vulcan nerve pinch.
This is just a random idea that we could do for fun, but how about on the side some of us could play a "tabletop game" (played on the computer) similar to risk but uses a bunch of different Andreemea races to bring in different advantages, disadvantages, and abilities to the pieces rather then a bunch of generic soldiers who all do the same thing. You'd also get combat "cards" (being on the computer, they'd all be digital, picking them based on the honor system with random number generators) that you can more choose your attack and defense rather than random dice rolling. For example, you draw a 1 attack 4 defense card, a 5 attack 4 defense card, and a 2 attack 1 defense card. You decide if you wish to go all out and add 5 attack or 2 attack for your next attack, probably depending on how badly you want the opposing army dead and how much total attack you'd probably need to eliminate the piece. Of course if you only have the 1 attack 4 defense card then you'd have to decide if it's even worth using it for attack or if you should save it for defense. The combat cards can be seen like handing out resources such as weapons, shields, etc.

You'd draw recruitment cards to put the armies on the board. The Molluun cards would likely be weak, like a base of 2 attack and 3 defense, but they have an ability where if they don't attack that turn they can go into their shells to raise their defense to 7, which is considerable. This would allow the super cheap to deploy Molluun to hold off even moderately powerful enemies from getting through choke points unless they end up wasting a high attack card to help break through the 7 defense rating. If you really, really needed those molluun to hold off the enemy for another turn, you could save up a high defense rating combat card for that instance, making you need to carefully plan when you need to save up and when you need to go all out. So for example, you could have an army sacrifice themselves as a diversion while you build up better combat cards to allow your important, elite troops a chance to come back for the win.

Of course there are some abilities like stealth, so if you see a race approaching who can use stealth, you need to plan for them using a card with that ability to move past your defenses. So some races you might fear their ability so target them to avoid something that could happen rather than simply attack the highest attack rating race (such as the Inorr). Some races are better than others, even if they all can be useful under certain circumstances. Plus some are cheaper to deploy, so rather than say you can deploy 10 armies, you'd get 10 points worth of deployment, which some really powerful ones could take more than half of that number.

There would probably be attack ranges, meaning rather than planets it would be a battlefield setting. This allows for snipers to be put into consideration as well as things like missile launching vehicles that stay back a bit, so you have to send armies to try and reach them.

Oh, and the cards would have HP. If an army takes damage but not enough damage to destroy them on a single turn, you can pay on your turn to replenish their forces back to full. That means you sometimes need to combine your attacks on one unit to wipe it out and keep it from replenishing. This allows some races with horrible defense and offense to seemingly keep on fighting and fighting until being completely obliterated. It would also save your favorite, vital unit from getting one lucky hit on them and being killed off entirely, which would be infuriating.

Individual characters could act as an entire army. Army here is used loosely. The armies in this game are more like squads.

Does this sound cool? Anyone interested?
People can post less than 4 sentences on rare occasions, but if they are so busy they can't do more for multiple posts in a row they should probably take a break for a while.

Daniel looks fine as is, revealing all of the important details for wht can be expected to be known at the start.

Now that I have some free days I can do a lot of wiki work, including info on the Exeralune. I don't know how many crew members there are so that will be kept vague until I put more thought into that. If nobody chooses the head chef position I'll make it ironically a humanoid cockroach, but he's really clean and an awesome cook.

Hey Important, how hot is that flame-sword?

Twice as hot as a flamethrower, so 4400 degrees F.
I have three characters
Evvie didn't need the demon to tell her to participate other than the fact that the screaming broke her out of her stupor as she stood completely baffled in the face of the current events that included a random caveman fighting the cave (didn't cavemen like caves?), the cave somehow collapsing underneath his strikes, and the teleporting opponent. All in all this was turning out to be a very strange battle, which she actually enjoyed every once in a while to make things more interesting, only if it got too strange it would make her head hurt. Hopefully nothing else strange would happen to overload her poor brain.

She breathed fire into her right hand, which she quickly began to mold into the shape of a 4 foot long sword. She'd need a bit more time to finish the shape and solidify it so that it could deflect her opponent's own sword, but even though it wasn't finished yet it was still a deadly flame extending from her hand and could be used to perhaps fend the man off for the time it would take to complete it. On one hand she could wait until it was completed before charging in, but she didn't exactly have the patience right now, wanting to take him on before he moved on to someone else and did too much damage. Not that she didn't have faith in her team, but she wanted to try her luck at taking him on herself, especially when it was clear that they were counting on her to do something.

As she rushed forward she ignored the caveman, not sure exactly who's side he was on due to the confusing nature of his appearance and actions so far. She went straight for the other guy who had directly attacked her ally, obviously the more serious threat here. If she was able to get close enough without being interfered with she would swing horizontally from right to left that would strike through his upper torso if he didn't do anything about it. Due to not taking on a solid form it wouldn't cut through him, but he would suffer a horrible burn going across his body that certainly would be far from pleasant.

She couldn't solidify her sword while doing this, both if she couldn't concentrate on it and if the fire was interacting with physical mass such as his chest, so if this attack worked in fending him off for even a brief moment she would use that time to concentrate on giving it solid form rather than press the attack even further unless a clear opportunity presented itself.

hey nobody its your post IC just so you know.

I'm exhausted from work, but I'll try to post before I go to bed. It might turn out to just be "she runs at the enemy and stuff"

EDIT: Wait a minute, if the headsman guy is climbing the mountain for hours and saw us fighting, that means the event in that post won't happen for a while after our battle is concluded. Therefore, I'll ignore it in my post.
I'll try to post my characters tomorrow, but if not I'll have my days off work starting the day after tomorrow to better finish them.

Sorry about the triple post, my page was having some weeiiiirrd issues

I imagine the unicorn in your avatar saying that three times with increasing intensity, leaning closer and closer to the camera.
Let's just assume Evvie's standing in place with a really confused expression on her face right about now.
