So, Multiverse expanded lite?

Kind of. However, it does things that you cannot possibly do on the multiverse, such as use certain characters that are deemed too powerful so you have to go in with a heavily weakened version and wait for who knows how long for them to level up. I don't mind the multiverse but that can be a very tedious aspect if you wanted to play as a powerful character.

Also, while it's more freedom on a lot of things it also has a more restrictive aspect on an individual thread created by the player. If they don't want a certain character jumping in then they can do so. It could be used to exclude people they simply don't like, I admit, but me and fellow elected mods can try to make this not be used for personal attacks and only be used to exclude characters who wouldn't fit in with that specific thread. For example, a walking talking giant banana god going in to a epic espionage battle between two opposing forces of gun wielding agents.

Plus, while you are waiting on the multiverse you can have some stuff going here.
Welcome to what is called the Mortal Claims Saga. In this roleplay there will be many battles, all of which will take place within the same lore as people from many different worlds are sucked into a single chaotic world that starts out with no rules. Can they form together or will they split themselves apart?

Sounds a bit like the multiverse thread? Well, this roleplay is not meant to compete with it, but rather does some things differently that some individuals didn't quite like, and there are some other changes as well.

The first thing of note is that characters of any power short of breaking the plot are allowed (meaning you can't be a god unless their powers are specific enough where they can't do plot breaking things). There's no worry about getting experience and leveling up. There will be a timeline for this roleplay where we can create threads exploring any time along it, so you can create a thread further in the timeline when your character is an awesome fighter just able to let loose, or go back when they're just starting to bloom. That being said they will be getting better and better at a realistic pace along the timeline. Does that worry you if some characters will be inherently better then one another at certain times? Unlike the multiverse that may be the case. However, the maker of each thread can have rules about what characters are allowed. Therefore, if you have a powerful character then you can be fair and set up a fight where he or she is under attack by a large group of opponents. If you wish to play in a more small scale espionage like battle then you can set things up where only characters more on that scale are allowed. Without worrying about winning, loosing, and experience, things will be more based on what would make the best story. Therefore, you can even set up a battle purposely in an unfair way and have it a good story where the underdog does something awesome and wins. Of course if you more enjoy battles where you do try to win then you can also set up threads with that intention in mind.

Second, if your character dies then they will only remain dead for an appropriate length of the roleplay (explained later). That being said you don't have a waiting period after your character's death before you can play with them again. You can even play with the same character in multiple threads at once if they take place at different time periods (due to taking place all in the same canon they can't be doing two different things at once unless that's some ability of theirs). Events will be added to the timeline as they happen and the characters involved so everyone knows what happened when and things won't get too confusing.

Third, the primary location for this roleplay is the arena, but there may be some stories also taking part in this lore that can make it into the other areas from free to advanced. There can be mysteries, dramas, comedies; anything your heart desires. You can also organize large scale plotlines within the multiverse, such as having control of a massive invasion force in a thread and inviting other characters in to try and stop you. Some threads might even turn out to be very long in a huge war. That being said you are not limited to a certain amount of characters. You can have multiple amounts of powerful characters working together. Does this once again seem too difficult for the weaker characters to fight against? Well, they don't have to get involved in such threads if they are too scared, or they can get creative and somehow make it out of the battle alive. I can also have armies and powerful characters at my disposal to make sure nobody goes overboard and unstoppable so don't worry. I can stop it both within lore or outside of the roleplay to make sure they aren't abusing this.

Fourth, you cannot use a character idea of someone else's. Therefore, Super Mario cannot jump onto the scene and start fire balling zoras from the Legend of Zelda. You can be inspired by something, but they have to at least have enough differences where it's not like all you can see is the character you were inspired from.

Now for some not necessarily differences to the multiverse, but I shall explain them for those who don't know.

You can submit your own location ideas that can be crazy to mundane. There can be floating islands, fighting on top of a giant monster, a magician's tower filled with booby traps, and even...a normal field? Feel free to go crazy with the most fun areas you can imagine to have to fight in. I will give some starting location ideas that can be used in the threads you guys create for this roleplay.

Every so often I will post my own threads as well, some of which will feature very powerful bosses for different "levels" of character that will take everyone involved on their A game to defeat. Therefore, if you have a normal human powered character then I might create a character for everyone of that same general power level to fight against at once, and the same can be said for other power levels as well. Other people can do the same if they'd like, but if not then don't worry because I will provide you with such opportunities.

The different worlds you come from can be futuristic, medieval, etc, and they are all mixed together in this same world. This will lead to a very diverse world with many different technologies and cultures combined. Some threads might be for only futuristic battles, some might be sword fighting only, etc. but you might also see sword fighters going up against gun users, or magic users against cyborgs. Anything might happen.

Does this idea appeal to you? I will post more info in time, including the backstory about why we were sucked into this world, but I don't want to swarm everyone all at once with a ton of info on this interest check. I will answer questions as neccesary. If anyone has any more ideas, suggestions, etc., then feel free to tell me and I can edit your ideas into the OOC.
Name: Reichann Alchiot
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance: As a twin sister of Eldrein, she looks very similar but has dyed her hair brown. She tries to appear masculine, so despite being female she can still be mistaken for her twin brother if not for her different hair color, as she binds her breasts so they cannot be seen through her clothing should she not be wearing her armor at the time. It should be noted that Eldrein is not incredibly masculine looking in the first place, so if he disguised himself as a woman then he could be as convincing of a woman as Reichann is convincing as a man.

Personality: She's the more serious and realistic minded of the twins, often getting irked at her brother when he does something reckless or overly heroic, which are often not mutually exclusive. She finds him very troublesome to deal with but still loves and supports him when it counts. When she does oppose him it's usually when she thinks it's for his own good, as she clearly worries about him. She's tomboyish, acting like a believable male without having to put on much of an act. Although she dislikes rule breaking, unlike Eldrein she's more likely to not follow rules down to a t if she believes that it's for the best, but will still not break any serious rules that would harm innocents.

Abilities

Physical Enhancements- She's an even match for her brother in this category, although beating him just a tad in speed and skill in exchange for just a tad less strength and durability.
Weapon Training- Specializes in a two handed slashing weapon called a mentachi in their land, being similar to a katana but longer and more curved with a more protective hand guard. She has at least basic knowledge of all common weapon types but puts the most practice into mastering the mentachi while Eldrein is more versatile but not as perfected in any one weapon as she is.
Strategist- Specializes in organizing large scale military campaigns. She's still good at a smaller scale operations as well, although perhaps not as good as Eldrein.

Powers

Light teleportation- She can send a sparkling trail of light from her right hand, extending it out as far as she can see at a speed of 40 miles an hour. The trail does not have to be in a straight line. With a snap of her fingers her body is then transported along this trail at a speed for all intents and purposes instantaneous over this relatively short distance. She can transport other objects, living or otherwise, by brushing her left hand against the sparkling trail coming out of her right hand and then placing that hand on what she wishes to teleport. While teleporting, the object behaves like the light around it so will not be turned into a massive speeding bullet that would obliterate everything that gets in it's path. Rather, if something gets in the way of the trail it cuts it off. Any object reaching the end of the trail due to this or it simply being the end, they/it stops immediately at the end without any momentum to keep it flying (unless they were moving at the moment of teleportation), not suffering any negative effects from the teleportation but might take a moment to collect their bearings. This move requires a decent amount of energy per transportation, tiring her out after teleporting just 5 human sized objects.

Equipment

Armor: Sort of like this but with white clothing.
Weapons: Mentachi (as explained in her abilities)

History

She served as the commander of the knights of her country, of which her brother wanted to join at an earlier age but she was hesitant to allow him to do so due to concern for his safety. In fact, she was extra strict on allowing him to join, although he proved to her that he had what it takes and was very serious about joining. She had no choice but to allow him to join. Unfortunately things went very wrong for him as the corrupt knights ended up throwing her brother in prison for saving a damsel rather then group up with the others to form an attack. There wasn't much Reichann could do to help him out, being a small fry in the eyes of many of the corrupt knights who had no problem secretly going behind her back and serving some other knight who was the ringleader, although she didn't know who was behind all of this so could regrettably do nothing. Her brother escaped to a distance land of who knows where and they were unable to meet for some time. Reichann willingly stayed with the corrupt organization of knights to try and change them from the inside, but on a mission where an enemy cut through her chest armor it was revealed that she was a woman. This being just the excuse they needed she was kicked out of her position of power. The gig was up so she abandoned the city, in search for her brother to make sure he wasn't up to anything that would get himself killed while he was left alone.
I'll catch up on this roleplay and post tomorrow unless you guys really need me to post today. I have some other stuff to take care off first.
"Hmm?" She questioned at his statement. Did he want her to carry him out through the hole? Could they both fit in at once? With her it could be possible, but-

The man suddenly attacked her for some reason before she had any time to even consider his offer. Huh?! Didn't he want her to help him out of the cave? She flinched backwards, which was more like a desperately ungraceful stumbling away rather then some expertly done retreat. In fact, her footwork was almost bad enough to make her fall down onto her butt by tripping over her own two feet. To keep her from doing so she flapped her wings, lifting her feet a couple of centimeters off the ground so that she was no longer relying on her footwork to get away from him, at least until she could recover from this surprise attack. She opened her mouth to breath fire on him as she tried to distance herself.

Himawari then trips, ripping the trenchcoat around her lower body.

"F-fate isn't k-kind to h-h-her? Heh... Eheh... Inspiration st-strikes!"And then Nadeshiko wrote some S&M themed crossover doujin of one of Rika's movies and Lyrical Nanoha....My gosh it is late.

She probably watched a scene where she's tied up by the villain many times before as inspiration.

Maybe someone should accidentally maybe get hit by the ball >.>

Rika. Fate is not kind to her characters, so it would stand to reason that she'd also have a (fake) death scene in real life.
They are all crowding around her wanting to be on her team, but if that's the case they aren't officially on her team yet.
There needs to be a whole mass of girl's on Rika's side of the court so that there's almost not even any space in between them. However, they still loose after trying to fight over getting the hit on the ball, stumbling all over each other.
