Name: The One Eyed Observer
Age: 888 (He lies about his age to make himself appear younger. He's over 1,000)
Gender: Male
Race: Spirit of a fat-bellied golden warbler
Appearance: *points to his race* That pretty much describes what he looks like. He only has his right eye. The other is an empty hole. His beak is long and red. He sometimes glows a faint blue light.
Personality: Despite being an old, mysterious, and (debatably) graceful spirit, he can actually be very arrogant and quite petty, worrying about silly things such as people thinking he's beginning to look too old. As such he's very self conscious about appearances. He'll act like a pouty child and refuse to help someone if they upset him, especially if they mention his old age (being over 1,000 is like a mid-life crisis). As long as you don't say anything to upset him then he's mainly just flying around doing his job then you'll never see this side of him.
Abilities
Physical Enhancements- He has the normal physical abilities of a warbler besides his reaction time, which is instantaneous, and his heightened senses. His sight can increase up to 1,000 times normal for both distance and detail, while his smell, taste, and hearing can increase up to 100 times. He can see the flowing energy found in every living thing, not just physical sight.
Powers
Light Manipulation- The hole in his left eye can be used to absorb light. He can then release the light in an altered state, allowing him to create illusions around himself within 20 feet. He can also choose to not release the light, causing things to go completely dark around him, or unleash it all at once for a huge burst of light.
Shooting Spark- Using built up light energy, he can fire it off in a series of sparks that form into a beam that can follow his eye movements, allowing it to have pinpoint accuracy to whatever he's looking at. It has the power to burn a hole completely through a normal human and travels at 100 miles an hour. His eye flashes for a second before the attack and commence.
All-seeing- His right eye, open or not, can see in every direction for his normal sight range. That doesn't mean he can focus on everything at once if there's too much going on. He can also see through objects with enough focus and even see in pitch darkness. His eyes glow white while this power is put to use, which can always be seen even if his eyes are closed and he's caused pitch darkness or an illusion around him.
Soul spotter- He can see the soul of someone inside their chest. His beak glows blue and the can then swoop down and pierce their chest. If he can bite down on their soul he can rip it out of their body. However, he cannot steal the soul, so all this does is kill them and then releases the soul back into the atmosphere.
Flightless Melody- A 20 second song he can chirp out. If not interrupted then anyone who hears it from start to finish feels sluggish in both body and mind for 10 seconds.
Bio
He started his life as a mortal warbler. It was a random and fateful encounter that turned him into the One Eyed Observer. He was caught in the middle of a battle that was suddenly brought to the quite forest he was living at, as one side ambushed the other who was traveling along a nearby path. The side being ambushed noticed him watching something off in the distance at a vantage point they did not have, and knowing something (or possibly someone) was hiding there they were able to prepare themselves just quickly enough to avoid being slaughtered. It was still a vicious struggle even with this advanced knowledge, but the side being ambushed managed to overcome their attackers...but not before the warbler took an arrow through the left eye after trying to flutter away, either a stray shot or someone instinctively fired at him when they saw his sudden movement.
An old lady fortuneteller from the group, which the other guards were protecting, was thankful for his assistance, even if unintentional, and used her power to allow his spirit to gain sentience and remain in this world as her assistant. He agreed, although mostly likes doing what he wants to do rather then work. However, he does have enough respect for her that she's one of the few who could order him around. He mostly does observational work, ironic because that is what caused him to be placed in this situation to begin with. What he observes can be many different things, but mostly the activities of the world as a whole, helping the old lady know what's going on and help predict the future.

Perhaps she's more noticeable then Rika thought. Rika will be average Japanese girl height. I think it's around 5'3'' or so?
"Hajimimasht-eeeeeaaahhh!" Rika couldn't help but squeal and shift away slightly as Mira began to unexpectedly play with her hair. She began to blush. Why was this cute girl getting so physical with her so soon after meeting one another? Not that she had any problem with this recent development whatsoever, but she was taken completely off guard and barely managed to regain her composure in time, shifting back to a more comfortable standing position. She managed to get out a smile to show that it was alright.
"Ah, it's alright. Your hair is really pretty too," she complimented nervously. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted Regan observing their hair as well. Ah, for some reason she hadn't noticed her very much until now, as if she wasn't very noticeable for some reason. She turned to Regan to bow and introduce herself to her as well when all of a sudden a foreign voice shouted at them from far away, interrupting her. She turned her head to see what was clearly some sort of a cowgirl charging at them. "Ehhhhhh?!?!?!" She exclaimed. Well that was certainly something. She had interacted with some foreigners on occasion during her voice acting career, but she didn't expect to meet one under these circumstances. Kinamoto Haru, she said?
"Hey-ah, how you do today?" she said in Engrish with an extended hand to shake, not sure how to respond to this girl. Act naturally?
"Ah, it's alright. Your hair is really pretty too," she complimented nervously. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted Regan observing their hair as well. Ah, for some reason she hadn't noticed her very much until now, as if she wasn't very noticeable for some reason. I thought it was good at first and then I didn't really care for it up until an episode or two after the girl popped out of the box (I predicted that would happen as soon as he was wondering what was in the box. If you ever see a human sized box mysterious appear, there's a person in it). It think it got better again near the end and the last episode was pretty epic.

Well anyways, I'll catch up on my reading and then post. Looks like my discussion on dinosaur riding mecha riding magical girls has to wait until later.
A mecha army comes in to fight a magical girl army, but then the magical girls hijack the mechas and have the mechas do a transformation sequence where they become even more powerful. Then the mecha riding magical girls find giant dinosaurs and ride the dinosaurs using the mechas.
