But then so would every other arid country. Remember, even the best kept secrets never last. The atomic bomb was kept away from the rest of the world for only a few years before the schematics were stolen by Russians and distributed worldwide. I suggest, in order to keep the plot a little more simple, the y chromosome breaks down within the span of 2-4 years, dropping the male to female birth ratio to 1:10 so we only have to rewrite 20 or so years of human history rather than 40.

I posted at the same time you did with an explanation to this issue. Saudi Arabia was the first to take advantage of this, and that is all they needed for that all important preemptive strike to take place. By the time schematics could have been stolen they already had their butts whooped.

As for the time scale if it breaking down, I'm open to change. We can put more thought into it to provide the best numbers, but right now I'm too tired to do too much more thinking.
Yeah. I'd hate to sound sexist against men, but I bet Saudi Arabia would benefit greatly without as many men around acting the way they do. Not that I'm saying they all do...please don't kill me!!!
So basically, Saudi Arabia gets ahead of the times, adapting to the crisis while many other nations in the area cling to their old ways. This allows a preemptive strike to take them over while they were in their weakened state, allowing them access to a ton of resources (most notably almost all oil in the middle east). A lot of other countries did little to stop this due to having their own issues and still in the process of transitioning out male troops and getting fresh female troops in so couldn't really do much at the time in terms of a full scale invasion even if they wanted to. By the time they were ready to organize an attack, the newly formed empire was massive in both the middle east and Africa, busy building up their infrastructure, including the oasis stuff as mentioned, and had strong defenses put in place. Plus they might have the backing of the...bad guy alliance guys (I forgot their name). However, this Empire would be the main focus of the attacks in the first roleplay.
Thanks. :)
It's fun writing it too.
That would be very interesting. Way more thought put into it then a lot of terrorists being Arab in games/movies/etc just because they're the go to villains outside of Russia. Their religion would need to be so radically transformed that it will be something else entirely. Maybe religion plays little part in their actions as another deviation from the norm when it comes to Arab enemies. My question is how could Saudi Arabia become a dangerous enough threat? They surely have allies or something big happened due to the alternate history to change things. Maybe they even developed into a new country that's an empire of sorts, only with an Empress (of course).

It should be Saudi Arabia! And I'd love to join if we can get it off the ground.

Interesting to see a Saudi Arabia with a lot of women's rights...or even reversed where men don't have any rights.
"Sakura Trick?!" Rika thought to herself in surprise. Could it be that she was into yuri as well? No. Let's not jump to conclusions. It was a funny enough show in it's own right to like it without having to like the yuri elements of it. Plus it was a recent series anyways so it was all the more likely to bring it up. But if she did like yuri, she could have someone else to consult with besides Nadeshiko? Or maybe she'd still have to keep her orientation a secret even then. Or maybe she could press her luck and hope for the best? She was wondering how to respond to her question while the exchange with one of her fans was taking place. She could barely hold in a giggle. This girl was really funny, but she might still cause undue trouble if she wasn't careful. Oh well. She couldn't do much about it anyways, could she?

"Well...I like..." she began to say, wondering if to disclose certain anime with yuri in or if to say something else she liked. However, she was interrupted by another question about her hair. Funny how often she got asked about it, although most of her fans had learned to just accept her hair as is and not bring it up any more. She liked to keep in ambiguous. Pink hair was sort of her trademark, and the more people talking about it the more popular she would become, drawing in possible new fans who had not yet grown tired of the speculation.

"Why thank you, Hiryuu-san. Hmm...what do you think?" She asked politely, no hint of sarcasm in her voice. Sure it might seem odd that people would actually think pink was a natural hair color, but there's no such thing as a dumb question as far as Rika was concerned. After all, she made plenty herself so who was she to judge? "Sure, you can braid it if you'd like." As she said this she blushed a little so she had to look down, fidgeting with her food and allowing her hair to cover her blush. While she was doing this she almost missed the looks of jealousy cross the other girl's faces.

if a male character would be permitted :P But anyway, this idea definitely has potential, lemme know if you need help fleshing out ideas or anything!

Male characters would be, although it would be odd if all the playable characters were male. What are our characters doing, having some sort of a male convention?
I'm sure they'd have those from time to time, although with insane amounts of security present. That would suck if an entire town's population of males gets taken out in a single attack.

For ideas, how about the main villain country? My thoughts were leaning towards France of China, but any and all suggestions can be given to make me chance my mind, no matter how silly it might seem at first. After all, with this being an alternate history there could be a ton of changes to allow some countries to take on completely different traits. For example, what if a peaceful male leader was never born, resulting in some other woman getting power instead who had a vengeful lust, or vice versa? What if, say, Canada is some evil regime now? *du du duuuuuuh! (dramatic music)
"Eh? Counter has brownies? We must investigate their secret recipe at all costs!"
*Five days and 50,000 casualties later, they remain at a stalemate on discovering each other's secret recipes.

For the percentage of people with abilities in the school, I'll raise it to 15%. With only 5% there would need to be tons and tons of people to have enough playable characters with abilities, far less have any decent sized battles going on.
I haven't had a chance to catch up on this roleplay yet. Still busy with the other ones. I think by next week I should be caught up because I'll be less busy then.

This is every man's dream, including mine. Consider me interested, hopefully it isn't too late!

It's not too late. I thought it had died, but it can still be revitalized if enough people show up.
As for every man's dream, we can have a lot of in character debate on the subject matter as characters try to figure out good and bad, right and wrong, and all that stuff.

I'm very interested. Would I be able to use a female scientist, with the intent of revitalizing the Y chromosome?

Yes...but you will fail. Mwahahahahahahahahahahaha!

jk...or am I? No spoiling the plot. It can go in any way, including many unexpected scenarios. Everyone's input could also push the plot a way I never thought of as well.
