For some reason I feel like also creating an Arabian soldier for us to fight.

It wouldn't have to be creepy. They could be in a fun environment and all posed happily and...err..that's more creepy. It will probably just be a bunch of comfy colorful boxes that go into the wall so you don't notice anything out of the ordinary. Plus you can't just accidentally stumble into that room, as it you have to go through a locked door, hidden panels, etc. after passing through the nurse's office.

It would be harder then a simple maze, but that general idea could work. Every time a soul escapes who the iguana had eaten, he burps at that moment. That could not only be for comic relief, but also a major plot point to find out if someone escaped. But then again it would already be obvious to find out if their body is missing from the storage area.

Not just any human soul, just the magic users, which explains why they have to be here. The cat and the dog, due to not being able to sent the souls to limbo directly, might just have to fight for their side like normal for the iguana to eat.

Maybe a school nurse can use magic to repair all damage to the bodies and keep them somewhere to remove the previously mentioned plot hole. She got both sides to agree to let her clean up after the battles along with the school maids.

Either way he's still going to be referred to as male within the posts, as that's his thing; a guy pretending to be a girl (but still admitting to being a guy a lot) or a girl pretending to be a guy pretending to be a girl (and still admitting to being guy a lot).

That's a good plot twist. They decided to work together so they split up, each one keeping an eye on one of the groups and when all of the children are asleep the exchange info with one another so the kids are none the wiser. Maybe they don't want to stop the fighting per say, but the Iguana needs their souls for something. That's why he would be hesitant to let some of them out back into their bodies. It could be for a good cause or maybe not. He might even end up the last boss! lol
But it's hard to imagine everyone getting off so easily. After all, not every death would lead to such a clean body that the soul could simply return to, and if they don't know any better what if they cremate them, and if they do know better then they would cremate their enemies or put them in a position that they couldn't get out of. Like I said, it does rise some potential plot holes. The only way around it is to say they didn't know and lucked out by leaving the bodies around in easily escapable positions, but that also sounds like a plot hole.

The principle is allied with the dark clubroom. Maybe the iguana is keeping his powers secret and can eat the souls? Limbo is inside his belly. He doesn't work for the dark clubroom specifically, he just lives in the cage there and pretends to be a normal iguana.

Ah, the old banish to limbo trick that censors commonly use for children shows. So maybe someone's power is able to snatch their soul and lock it there until further notice, and their bodies won't rot so they can be returned. To be fair a third party character has to be in charge of this if that's what we go with.

Edit: they sit on rocks for punishment. They get broken desks normally and if try do good, something else?
