Treating members of the other gender differently?

I'm wondering how others feel on this issue. Differently could be for better or for worse.

Basically, I don't treat women with more or less respect then a man. For example, I wouldn't open a door for a woman if I wouldn't have done the same for a man. If I would be in a position where I would hit a man I would hit a woman just as easily because for me to hit someone it would obviously have to be a serious situation.

I'm wondering if this view is related to how I don't really do anything stereotypically masculine of feminine that I can think of. I would say my love of video games could be considered a trait that boys partake in more often, but I know even that stereotype is getting more and more false by the year. I don't feel like my own gender influences what I do at all, other then possibly how others view me. I do find women more attractive, however, so I guess there's that. If you expect me to be a macho man I'll certainly let you down. I wonder if it's low testosterone or what, although I'm not worried or wish I was different. I'm perfectly fine with myself like this and it's not like I'm questioning my gender, I just don't care.

I bring this up because I'm curious what others think. This isn't a debate to change people's mind or do personal attacks; just to see where other people might be coming from on what most people think. Is it morally right to treat other genders better as long as you don't treat the other one bad? Please feel free to have a friendly debate.

If there were other chairs like that with other nationalities then I wouldn't think it's racist. It's just a stupid chair.

Evvie was completely battered and exhausted by now, but it appeared like victory was hers. She'd need a nice long rest after this one in order to properly recover. She hasn't fought such a tough opponent in a long time. She stood over Zaina and placed her right foot on her face, pressing down on it so that it would be crushed and put her out of her misery.

My knight in shining armor...is a woman?! (fxf)

This is based on my previous idea posted before the site went down (which met a horrible fate with me getting too busy to end up doing it), but it's new and improved and things should work out much better this time around. I will post and expect a post at least once every three days but would more then likely post at least once I day. I'd like at least a decent sized paragraph per post, so no coming in here if you're used to one liners and no details. I'm not really much into the R rated graphic sex, so this will mostly be lovey dovy stuff and what could get away with in a PG-13 movie. There will be other stuff in the roleplay besides romance such drama, fantasy world exploration and action scenes.

Now for the plot. I will leave it vague right now and then we can work together on the final details to get it just right for both of us. The legend goes that a princess was to be rescued by a brave knight on her 16th birthday, and should they share true love's first kiss then the two of them would go on to help build the most majestic Kingdom in all of the land that would help unite the world. The princess of this story believes the tale to at least some extent and wonders if it's her the story is talking about when she's under attack by a strange monster on her birthday and a knight in shining armor arrives to fend it off. Much to her shock, however, the knight removes "his" helmet to reveal that she's actually a young woman. One thing leads to another and the knight ends up as the princess's personal escort and the princess has to decide if to attempt to follow the legend and try to seduce the knight or just pretend that this all never happened. Of course she will choose the former. After figuring out what happened there might be some plotting against us from inside our kingdom (mostly the senators) who want to keep the status quo as is, even if it's bad for a lot of people, so having the princess form this new kingdom would ruin everything for them. From there the plot will be trying to develop a budding romance, surviving attempts to thwart the legend, and maybe some other stuff you might be interested in doing.

I can be either the knight or the princess so it's your choice which one you'd like. If you have a specific personality you'd like my character to have then please tell me and I'll incorporate it into my character unless I dislike it. I imagine the knight being more oblivious and the princess being kind of tsundere, but it doesn't have to be like this. As for appearances I'd prefer if they didn't look butch, goth, or punk, which wouldn't fit at all, but if you like a certain look then much like the personality I can incorporate this into my character. The knight will be the better fighter but I'm thinking that the princess would be able to hold her own at least somewhat and slowly become the knight's equal in combat as the story progresses and the knight teachers her some things. As for the character ages, the story would start out with the princess just turning 16 and the knight being 16 or 17, but they wouldn't have any sex during this time, implied or otherwise, until after a time skip of a few years. I'm planning on a time skip anyways due to it taking a while to develop a kingdom and a romance. Maybe the have to split apart for some reason at some point and absence makes the heart grow fonder. That being said the story might end with them being 18-21 range and have grown mature enough during that time to be awesome rulers of the kingdom, my character the head general and yours the Queen, or vice versa.

Any interest? If more then one person is interested then I might ask that you post something from the perspective of the character you chose and whichever one most matches up with how I view them will be chosen.

Evvie lunged forward, gripping onto the side of the weapon just in time and shoving it off to the side, making the huge blast out of it with a near miss. Despite avoiding it she could still feel it's power from here, knowing how deadly it had been as it tore through the surrounding landscape with ease. She was impressed, but more impressed with herself for avoiding it.

As she collided with Zaina she kept with the same plan as before; try to tackle her and then pin her down to the ground. If at all possible she'd tear the remaining arm off.
