"We're under fire! Everyone hold on tight!" The pilot shouted back into the helicopter loud enough for everyone to hear. However, that was probably an unnecessary statement because it become immediately obvious when the bullets began pelting against the armor of the helicopter and whizzing by it's windows. They jerked hard to the left and down, dodging the gunfire for a moment while it had to adjust the aim accordingly. The attackers were just women on the ground with machineguns, but they were numerous and relentless in their attack, not too keen on allowing aircraft past the defensive lines. One of them got a lucky hit on the blade, causing a dreadful and ominous sputtering and clanking sound just moments before the only vehicle keeping them from plunging to their deaths was now doing just that. Some of the soldiers were reserved enough or too frightened to speak, while others let out cries of terror as they nose dived dangerously low into the city. Somehow the pilot managed to angle them back up just moments before impact, causing them to slam roughly into the ground on the belly of the helicopter. They skidded violently across the streets, skipping along like a stone over water until it reached it's final destination by crashing through the window of a building near the end of the road that they had managed to fall into.

All that Sienna felt through the vibrations in her seat rather then sight, because she had her eyes firmly squeezed shut as she sat trembling in her seat. The seatbelt strapped over her body did it's part in keeping her in one piece, but in it's final smash through the building it had taken too much violence to withstand, ripping out from her seat and spilling her into the isle. Broken glass fell on top of her, but that was the least of her worries. She opened her eyes as the dust settled, shocked that she was still alive. The helicopter's armor must be far better then she had previously thought to survive such an impact. Well, "survive" was used loosely, for it was certainly not going to just start up and fly again any time soon, if ever. All of the windows were busted out or cracked, the blades had been completely torn off, and there was a massive dent on the upper left side of the cockpit, crushing the pilot between the metal and the chair. She couldn't see much of the pilot from within the mangled wreckage, but from what she could see, she was more then likely dead. The same fate befell some of the soldiers who had been knocked around and scattered the isle while limbs thrown haphazardly about. The surviving medic on board tried desperate to revive them, but to no avail.

Doing a quick head count of those still able to count, including herself there were twelve. Not much of an attack force, and to make matters worse they were now trapped behind enemy lines. They did crash near their target building, but did they really stand any chance? Was there any point in continuing the mission? Sienna rubbed her aching head as she stumbled onto her feet. Just then she heard the sound of shouting and thudding footsteps approach the building they had crashed inside. Uh oh. Looks like things were about to get even worse.

"Everyone look out!" She warned everyone just before they were under attack by another hail of machinegun fire. She ducked underneath the window as bullets soared through the now open windows. She didn't have time to count how many soldiers there were, but there were certainly a lot of them. Overcoming the intense fear of this situation, or perhaps because of it, she unleashed her counterattack, popping up from cover to fire upon the advancing women with everything she had. They only wore light armor and were densely packed, allowing her bullets to tear through the advancing hoard with surprising ease. Around five collapsed, but she didn't have time to check for sure. Everyone was a blur as she sweeped her gun around, hearing the click of her ammo running out much sooner then expected. Drat! She ducked back down, fumbling with her clip to reload. She could hear them getting closer and closer with every passing moment.

Whatever happened to Silver and Nobody? :<

*Pops in randomly.

I posted how I'd struggle to keep up with the roleplay for a bit, although I didn't get any replies so I guess nobody saw it. I could try to catch up, but with a lot of other stuff to do I'd still struggle to keep up unless this roleplay is going a whole lot slower then it had been.
Wow. Seems like I got into a huge writers block for this after being absent for so long. Well, I guess you guys don't care about post quality as long as I can touch us down on the ground and continue.

EDIT: Guess it wasn't that bad.

Dude, Important, I gotta say. That's weird.

Eh?!?! No mention on Rilla's naked midget clowns dancing, you skip straight to me being weird?
Skallagrim said
Dwarf clowns who dance naked aren't really something appropriate for this rp.

*Evvie discards her armor and does the same.

"Well...I guess we can make an exception this once. "
We'd just have to make sure we have skilled judges who can make the call if it is handled realistically. If someone gets mad they can't one hit ko with a single swift punch then they will lose the match by the judges call unless they can get their act together.

Edit: for who reacts quicker, generally the advantage would go to the person doing the attack, being quicker to act then react

Edit: for unofficial matches, you can allow the other person to have a weapon such as a shinai if they practice kendo, for example.
The speedy person should understand that a quick jab won't ko a huge muscle guy. Logically it would be harder to interrupt someone the weaker you are (he might get punched in the face and stil be able to pull off his move) so they'd have to do more dodging.
Without interrupts you can have the slowest guy around doing spins for a matter of seconds and then wind up to deliver a massive blow while they just have to stand there watching the whole time.
The combat will be taking turns getting to react to the opponent's attack and then unleashing your own attack. You cannot hit them in your post when you first unleash the attack, only say you are making the attempt to do so, then if the opponent does nothing to stop said attack in their next post, your next post you can have the damage be done in a realistic manner.

Charging won't be that big of a deal due to magic not being able to get that powerful where it needs long charges. Well, I guess if it's a really well thought out power that would require a long charge then it may be allowed.

I know it was controversial, but possibly being able to stop an opponent before they get their attack finished is a must. Therefore, if you have your character wind up a punch for a second and then having them spin around and slam his fist up into the opponent's chin, it's expected that the opponent can do something to stop him while he's still doing all of that, thus not allowing him to complete his move. It's not like you can always stop an attack; you must realistically be much faster then them to pull it off. So if some nimble guy just does a quick jab then I can't say I interrupt the jab with a powerful, wound up haymaker. If someone tries to abuse this in such a manner then the judge can say there was no interrupt and the attack did get through before it could realistically be interrupted.
This will not be for a single battle but will instead include multiple battles over time (some free for all, team, and tournaments), all taking place in the same continuity. Start by submitting a character by way of the school id card (the character sheet, which will be added if enough people are interested) and you're good to go. You just have to challenge any other accepted character, then that person accepts the challenge, and then a thread can be created for their fight with the term "Fight School:" in the title, followed by the names of the students fighting and saying "Round 1", "Round 2", etc. if this isn't the first time they fought. Additional things will be added to the title if it's a tournament.

Power levels will be similar to street fighter or many other fighting games. Basically, your character can have minor magical abilities but has to be beatable by non-magical fighters. And by non-magical, everyone can still pull off crazy attacks such as spinning jump kicks, wall jumping, upper cutting while soaring through the air, etc. The type of moves you might see in a fighting game. Any fighting style is accepted into this school. No weapons. The instructors will be better then us and can probably handle around 4 or 5 at a time.

There can be no killing or permanent damage. If your character does so then it will be voided by way of a teacher or other safety officer storming in to stop the attack, no questions asked. One of the people watching the match can detect killing or other overly malicious intent to explain how they can stop the match just in time. The only exception is if the person receiving the damage wills this to happen. Keep in mind that what happens in one thread carries over to all the other ones, so if you accept that your arm is broken then all future fights must reflect this until it has had proper time to heal.

This is a school, so characters should be school aged (college or younger). They do go to normal classes as well, but obviously we will only have threads created showing when they are fighting. You can make it a non-official fight or an official one, which is carried out at various points through ought the school year. There's only two school wide tournaments per year, midterm and finals. There may be smaller ones a bit more often that doesn't involve the whole school up to the discretion of the instructors.

You can leave and reappear at any point, so you don't have to stick around and constantly be in a fight. We can just assume they were off fighting random NPC's during your time away. If someone drops out or takes too long during a battle, the match can be declared time out and the person remaining will be the winner by default.

Anyone interested? Anyone want to be a judge for the matches and character acceptance?
Most of the animals are allied now in order to be able to survive against the humans, although many of them are just random civilians in the background because they're not very useful in combat. Before this massive alliance was formed, what determined if they were allies, enemies, or neutral is how they act in real life. Obviously the ant eaters would be mortal enemies of the ants, bears are pretty much mean to everyone, cats and dogs had a huge struggle (the emotional scars of which still run deep between them despite them being in the same alliance). Rabbits get along with almost everyone although were easy prey at first until they turned all ninja-like in their combat abilities and grew in size to about the size of foxes. The wolves were probably bad guys for a bit so might be mistrusted among many other alliance members and are relatively new members of the alliance. Most of the farm animals were slaughtered early on by the humans to avoid complications, although horses did get away.

Some dogs might still be allied with the humans. Few cats are though.

Another thing; the smarter the animal the less effective this whole scenario is, so it's not like chimps turned into Einstein or anything. Primates will not play a large role in this for whatever reason. Maybe they simply couldn't compete with some other animals now that this has taken place and they lost their primary advantage of intelligence.
