The only times I've seen someone actually lose to a firearm, was when they got repeatedly caught out of cover and kept charging their foe head on without any attempt at evening the odds.

*cough cough Evvie cough cough
To be fair she hadn't even seen a gun before that battle. She basically had no chance in hell given the setup. I should be more fair to the poor little thing.
The big, big meanie had clearly located her after her attack, bringing back his massive arm to presumably make a swipe at her, or at least her general location and would surely make contact either way. Dodging was impossible in this sort of time, but perhaps a counterattack was in order. Rather then keep attacking his lower leg she yanked the fire spear out and raised it in the direction of his arm that was now swinging at her. For his swipe to reach her then it would have to be embedded all the way through spear; either that or her fire would break apart from the force of the impact, but more then likely not before it had a chance to do some serious piercing damage, using his own momentum to drive the flaming tip through.

His arm smashed into her before she could properly see what had happened, instantly knocking her out and flinging her into the other wall of the alleyway along with the rest of the debris. She crashed limply to the ground, her fire lance now extinguished without her control over it. Her right arm was broken at the elbow and that entire side bruised, and a small puddle of blood pooled underneath her head. The damage wasn't fatal to her, but it certainly took her out of the fight for the time being.

I entered Erde for high tiered combat because I wanted to crush people with rocks. That is the simplest explanation as to why I have Erde.Isn't working out to well either.Because I genuinely don't have any necessity to buff or nerf him, simply because he's already dangerous. But again.Crushing people with rocks in a combat setting isn't happening apparently.Edit: And yeah, I'll get right on rewriting it. I'll just write the entire thing out instead of trying to summarize it.

Poor Erde. You can crush Evvie with rocks if it makes you feel better.

Sigh, this is when the multiverse sucks. When everyone lose sight of what is actually important and starts arguing semantics because they want their characters to be better than everyone else's.I wish high tier wasn't even playable in this RP, it's terrible in a diverse multiverse setting anyway.

If everyone wanted to be better then everyone then they'd all be pushing the limits of high tiers...which I guess some people are but we just need to establish how high we should max so I don't see it as wanting to be more powerful then others more so then upgrading the high tier in general.

100 tiers is far too many, and it's also too stock. Pretty much every RPG uses a 1-100 system, and that just makes everyone want to level up to level 100.15 is better due to a simpler design covering a wider range.

Not everyone would want to or could get close to the top of a 10 tier system, so unless it unlocks some primitive instincts in us to want to reach the top if there's 100 levels rather then 10, I don't see it as much of a problem. It's basically the same thing as the 100 tier system but allows more smaller level ups by jumping 1 tier out of 100 rather then what would amount to 10 tiers at once, which isn't realistic at all in most cases and would put you in the same boat of those much more powerful then you because you'd be at the bottom of the tier just getting into it while the top of the tier are way more powerful. As stated in this roleplay, the difference between intermediate top and bottom is extreme, so the more levels you have the less of a problem there is and the more accurate it is of how powerful they are.

It will work for my character of the day because it's mainly just a list and can see how powerful they all are in comparison to one another. If there's a bunch in, say, tier 4, that doesn't tell much at all about who's really better or worse then if they were like level 41, level 49, etc.

I had a 15 tier system, allowed much more variance between god-tier and high-tier.

That's cute. I have a 100 tier system in the works for my character of the day!
It's based on video game leveling and more accurate/realistic progression of levels. Instead of someone upgrading from low to intermediate or something, a massive change, they just go up 1 level. Of course the main trouble would be giving examples of every level, which would make the list take forever to read. That being said I'm working on different ways to go about it.

True... But it can't lift a heavy cruiser. What if I wanna hurl ships at people? :P Though I'm also pretty sure magneto could lift a heavy cruiser, in addition to all the other stuff he can do. Heck, he can probably lift a freaking aircraft carrier. Dang magicy people and their inherent advantages... ;)

I think lifting heavy cruisers should be something a high tier could do.
Magneto could do it with his metal control. I don't think his physical strength is that good, is it? I've never read up on his physical strength.
It seems like the Hulk and Superman could beat the high tiers of this roleplay without much trouble.
Vincento...that was the name she had spotted on a lot of challenge slips. She had none, but that was only to be expected. She was a complete unknown for this sort of thing, so if anyone was to write her name down then he or she must be a fan of kendo who's keeping up to date on the various dojos around Japan and their upcoming stars. It was unlikely that any such people would have already run over here to sign up. She wasn't jealous of this difference between him and her or anything...probably. Maybe she was just a tad irritated with what could be considered his bragging about it. Or maybe she was just reading too much into this. He probably meant nothing by his word choice and was just trying to make casual conversation. He took getting bumped into pretty well so he couldn't be that bad of a guy.

She extended her hand in return.

"My name is Hikaru Tsukuda, and I'm also a first year," she said, her english almost sounding fluent with a only a tad accent. Her father was an American so she had learned english while growing up...at least while he was still alive.

She didn't bother to include her rank of D3. She wasn't exactly hiding it, but he didn't ask so why bother spouting off your rank the first chance you get?

She let go of his hand and let it fall back to her side.

"Well anyways, guess I better get going," she said, turning around to begin walking to the dor.
Beta said what was on my mind. I think he'll do well as a character accepter mod.

can i post in the IC already and flesh out my CS's later?

Well, I don't see why not. Just don't expect to get into a battle with anyone until the sheet is done.
I think I'll leave the Cs to fight and have my character not do anything quite yet.
I'm on break so cannot look over the sheets good enough in time to approve yet. I could say Beta is allowed to approve characters if you want the job.
